Ok here’s the report, it took about twenty minutes just to attach the drip line had to use my wire wrapping pliers, and yes I ran it under hot water for at least 5min. I’ve got the 6 1/2” diamond blade , only 3/4 of the blade sticks up above the cutting table. So any stone can only be an 1 1/2” and that’s if you flip it and match the cut!? Maybe there’s a way to raise the blade or lower the table? Ok I’m looking for suggestions, I’ve got a couple of grape fruit sized pieces of jasper to cut, maybe a tile saw from Home Depot ? It did cut ok on some small pebbles.
The company is not out of business, but they have stopped selling these. These are very temperamental, You have to be on top of it 100% to make sure no water gets into the motor. When using the trim saw, it's not too bad, but using the flat lap has killed off more motors from water damage than anything else.

I have a teacher who is a very experienced stain glass expert and he uses a very high quality grinder, he was impressed with this little gem. I found the instructions to be a little basic and went to you tube to get some more tips about its uses. My only issue was that during some cutting the bit came loose, but was able to tighten up with the little allen wrench provided.I did not order the glass guard for it, however my handy hubby whipped me up one with some plexi glass and wood which works just great. I would say to others to buy the glass guard or eye guard if you don't have a handy hubby. finished two simple table projects and now moving along to my next project. Have used every weekend for about 10-12 hours since i got it. Happy with quality for the price. would purchase again!*

Such a lousy product it is no longer sold at Amazon...who is going to buy after one bad review after another.
