Great to see the Dutch F-104 being restored back to a flying condition. Will it make it to the UK airshow scene though, well lets hope so as it's an amazing jet. I remember the F-104 displays we had at UK airshows, they were absolutely brilliant, with that characteristic J79 sound and high speed passes. You could always tell when the F-104 was coming for a high speed pass, you could see that black characteristic smoke from a distance! 👍

Good luck with getting this great aircraft to fly l hope you do it there are aircraft in this world of ours that were not just good aircraft but look dam cool and the 104 Starfighter is one of them I just love this aircraft

Amazing! So is the current plan to actually fly her? What about the problematic with the ejection seats? From I know thats the main problem that prevents the norvegian F104 from flying right now.
Yes flying is the goal of this project. But it will be difficult so I hope at least for taxi runs with howling sound. The problem now is that they have found a well-functioning engine in Canada, but due to strict rules it cannot be imported here in the Netherlands at the moment. They suffer a lot from typical Dutch bureaucracy.
Hoe graag ik er ook in zou willen geloven vrees ik dat de 8114 nooit volledig luchtwaardig kan worden gemaakt. De regels in dit land maakt het een onnodig moeilijke onderneming.
@@ZipperF104 Hoewel er altijd meer donateurs bij mogen komen denk ik dat er over het algemeen genoeg geld bij de organisatie binnenkomt hoor. Maar o.a. het bureaucratisch geneuzel over potentieel gevaarlijke stoffen in de motor (die volgens mij al een tijdje klaarstaat voor verzending vanuit Canada) etc. maakt het er niet makkelijker op. Of loop ik achter en is de motor al in het land?
Wat gaaf dat men probeert om dit iconisch vliegtuig wee de lucht in te krijgen.thanks voor het filmen
Het is wel een groot vraagteken of het gaat lukken, ik zou het al een hele heugelijke prestatie vinden als men er mee gaat taxiën.

Ik vrees dat je gelijk hebt, maar misschien gebeurt er een 'klein' wondertje
De vrijwilligers zijn nog erg gedreven in dit project en geven niet op 👍
