Great stuff, Luke ! .. Definitely the best reaction I've seen to this fantastic ABBA song .. You've perfectly described the song's meaning, while also picking out all the wonderful vocal components and highlighting the magical vibe that is projected throughout .. Totally enjoying your ABBA journey !
This was one of three albums I bought when I was five years old in 1980. This song was unlike anything anyone had ever heard before and it was really exciting to my little mind 😊
@@christianoazzuro6711 Yes, even in Brazil. The album was one of the most successful at that time. But the biggest ABBA hits in Brazil are "Fernando" followed by "Chiquitita, The winner takes it all and I have a dream". They are recovered by many Brazialian singers!
@@melodiesofmylife5805 That's great, wow so proud. Some years ago i learned that their 2 last albums ST and The Visitors were huge best selling albums also in Potugal back in '81/'82 which was pretty good for a country with its own domestic artists and special culture,so is Brazil.
@@christianoazzuro6711 In Brazil they were /are much popular than many other famous band! 1980...Best Xmas of my life as a child when this came out....until next time that was 4 decades later with ABBA"s new music again 2021 when Voyage came out.Felt like a carefree child for once more..This is Frida's shining moment here through a heavenly song and melody.A pure blissful masterpiece made in heaven
I like Frida's voice very much it's very peaceful, and even if I always say the same on the videos of this band but the harmonies of the girls are astonishing. Also Frida very fashionable here, I like her white dress more than Agnetha's and that sweater looks very warm for the cold days I have here in my city right now 🤗🤗
@@wayne_twentyfive Oh I like both voices, Frida's is very peaceful, you can only close your eyes and enjoy, and Agnetha's transmits a feeling of tenderness, it's cristal clear and strong at the same time, each one is unique and different from the other, but when they blend together the result is an angelic harmony, and those of the boys also have their appeal. No doubt I am a fan of the group in general. Take care!!!
@@juanita6479 That's a great description of their voices, and again you are spot on in everything you've said .. Like you, I too am a big fan of the group in general .. Have a great day !

Last time I was at the 'Voyage' concert, a few weeks back, the audience had a big impromptu sing-along with Super Trouper in the concourse area afterwards. Very catchy.
They wanted to film the video in Piccadilly circus in London but were denied permission due to live animals there together with crowd control of the fans, hence filmed in a studio in Stockholm. Also, from what I understand, the song was written in 1 day to complete the album!
The song was a last moment ispiration while the album was nearly ready for release. But suddenly this song happened and also gave its title to the whole album replacing another track.Luckily a fine decision.
Next time you may try 'KIsses of fire/LOVERS' dual set from their famous appearence in 'ABBA in Switzerland BBC' '79 special.Very popular to Abba fans. Both girls look smokie hot babes there.Btw Kate Bush and Roxy Music were guest appearences too.
A fab song from Abba's fantastic ST album that was coated with a honeyfied maturity and was also the band's 6th n01 LP out of 10 in the UK.I got some beautiful childhood memories blended with this song. At the time popular UK mag for youngsters "Smash hits' gave the album an awful humiliating review (as usual) and also hinted its future artistic and commercial failure, but who cared.....Even before released there was a record of an upreceded 1 million pre-saled copies there also making it in the World record Guiness book.It rocketed straight at N01 for 9 weeks and also became the best seller album of the year in less than 2 months(early Nov.-Dec. 1980)!
Insanely catchy song, immaculately sang and produced (as always l). Super Trouper was the 4th best selling single in the UK in 1980 and the best selling album that year, having been no.1 for 9 weeks
You need to watch the Mama Mia films. They are based are based around the ABBA music and I believe was produced by Benny and Bjorn. Great films and amazing music.

13 November 1979, touching the end of their European tour, ABBA were performing in Glasgow, Scotland. Björn was tired of concerts and life on the road. Missing his soon-to-be wife Lena who had stayed in Sweden, he had her on the phone that very same night. The thought of soon reuniting with her gave him the strength to go on. That’s where the lyrics came from apparently.
No, he has just done all ABBA Gold songs (except I Have A Dream), Happy New Year, The Visitors, The Day Before You Came and the two songs from Voyage. I hope he will react to their "lesser known" songs, too.

A little correction: Twinkle, twinkle little star was not a production name of this particular song. They used Twinkle, twinkle... as a production name of the song called "Like an angel passing through my room" from the album The Visitors.
The same working title was used for both songs, in English for Like An Angel and in Swedish for Super Trouper (Blinka Lilla Stjärna = Twinkle Little Star)
