What Chris Simms doesn’t know/is forgetting about Gabe Davis is that he played through an ankle injury all year last year (injured it Week 2). He’s super legit. I have huge respect for Simms for admitting he was wrong about the Bills though. Most analysts have too much pride and ego to admit when they’re wrong. That’s why he’s my favorite football analyst.
I actually bet my Bills fan friend $100 they weren't gonna make the playoffs. I thought they would finish behind MIA and Jets in the division(priore to Rodergs injury). Maybe they still got it🤷♂ As for Davis, people also forget he's only 24. He is due for a breakout year(I know people have been expecting that for a few years now but he's young enough to still accomplish it). Thats why I drafted him in fantasy(and got him almost at the end of the draft).
The ankle injury can be blamed for his inability to create separation last season, but you can't blame an ankle injury for a 50% catch rate. Davis CAN be amazing, I think he has a very high ceiling. But he needs to put more work in. So far this season, he's been very good. Which is good being that it's his contract season. I hope he can continue to ball out opposite Diggs.
I like Gabe hard worker. Hes a great blocker but if you ask me he is an average number 2. Two in consistent with catches and route running and is limited to about 4 routes on the tree.

Not a bad game the jets defense pretty good. Miami don’t have the best defense and before injury to our O line they was shredding the Bills number 1 defense. The bills beat Washington Raiders and because of o line issues got one on Miami. They will meet again thats the beauty of it in miami 😂

The Bills defense had some high quality play with several key cogs missing. Poyer was out, Miller was out. White was out for half of the game, Benford and T. Johnson were out for stretches, Hyde was out for a drive or two. Bernard was starting his fourth ever game at MLB. The secondary, which has long been the focus of the defense, was fielding backups at all 5 DB positions (NCB included) for stretches. It's honestly miraculous that their game plan held up as well as it did with all of the shifting parts in the backend. Allen was phenomenal, but the defense deserves the game ball for that execution.

The interception week 3 was what us Bills fans call an arm punt. 3rd and 20 deep in your own territory, run a go route, have Allen just launch one as far as he can. If it's a completion, incredible. If it's incomplete, we're punting anyway. If it's intercepted? Probably went at least as far as a punt would've anyway, so... Flip the field. Sure, it counts against the stats, but it's an acceptable risk and strategy.
