From what I have seen it’s better to shoot Phoenix at a speed of 100 or 160 maximum. Great starting point film that needs supporting to grow Harman’s colour film type portfolio.
Exciting times. I've ordered a couple of rolls to try out and I'm really looking forward to playing with it. There's definitely a place for new colour stock and I'm very happy that it's coming from Harman.
Excellent news. The photos you showed look very good and with a distinctive look. I've just read the post on your website and I didn't really understand why they recommend lower dpi scanning, and how it affects colour and contrast. I don't have a film scanner any more, and use a Fujifilm X-T2 and macro lens giving 6000x4000 images. If I use Phoenix I'll need to experiment. Frankly 24MP is way more than is strictly necessary anyway. The 12 or even 6 options are probably perfectly adequate.
I posted twice on apug that I wasn't going to try it because I quit shooting color 3 years ago. Well, somehow I came home from a local camera store with 2 rolls in my pocket. Unlike the scans in this video, most on youtube are absolute crap, having been done with seemingly no thought at all. Hopefully I can have some fun and come up with something worth looking at. A couple R&D engineers who worked on it said in another video that it actually tests out at iso 123.5 so 125 should do it.

Huge for the film industry - Harman has put them on notice that if Kodak doesn't sort out their supply issues, Harman will
woah!!! I need to dust off my Pentax and get some of this.
OMG ! You've let dust get on your Pentax!!?? 😂 I shoot my K-1000 several times a month... need to finish the roll and get it to the processor.
Yes it's a bit sad really, perhaps i just have too much choice. It will always be my favourite camera though. @@markgoostree6334

Amazing news!!!
Good news 🎉
I wonder if this has any relations to any of the old dufaycolor films stocks. Which I think had a relationship with ilford in the past

I hope that this leads to more films....but im so tired of paying to be the beta tester
why go "indie" then?
@@vladnickul what do you mean?
Nice!
But calling it harman phoenix....
ilford phoenix - instant brand recognition.
They don't have rights to market colour products under the Ilford name - it's explained in the video.
