    I have a reefs 179 in my typhon grom and let me tell you I LOVE it. I burnt out a bunch(about 8 within 2 months) ecopower and spektrum servos then switched to the 179.
    I also don’t run servo savers so keep that in mind.. 100’ cartwheels at 50+mph and it’s still going strong.

    Track pretty slick. They used to sell a substance i believe called "tiger paw" for traction on slot car tracks. It worked! Put a little on your tires and go. Those foam tires would grip good after. That was 50 years ago. Probably causes cancer in California now.😅

    • @rigbotr7849
      @rigbotr7849 3 месяца назад +1

      They are not foams but rubber Goodyear slicks. That said, a little tire prep would still be very effective…until it wore off. Better to find a setup that is neutral through the corners.

    You can put a thicker shock oil in the right rear shock to help illuminate the body roll and get the car more traction through the turn

    This is what I wanted from this model, but after some YT comments discussion with Losi, they are wanting to stay true to the NASCAR side of this. However, you have have created what Arrma will hopefully do with a pavement model Grom. Would be a good chance for them to do the first BL Grom, too. Not a drift car, but more of an autocross setup.

    Only 3 “adapters” quite impressive!!

    Just took delivery of mine today and took it around the pickleball court. Seemed to slide around just enough to make driving this car a blast.

    IF u know anyone that's 'competitive' in the touring car racing world, talk to them. I'm sure they have an 'oval' setup.
    IF it was 2wd, any oval setup (concrete, dirt, etc) works. Locally all oval tracks are only clay dirt. Fast AF too coming from a 2wd lcg slash. They're impressive to watch.

    A Mamba Micro X 2 with a sensored 10 series motor would be psychotic in that car, and up to 4s capable for speed runs.

      I came here to say this! The ultimate little system. Just don’t forget to put a fan on the X2 if you’re going to run 4S or any kind of tall gearing.

    Need to get you some sticky wheel weights for balancing car tires and use them to adjust the weight biased I bet Just an ounce of weight on the nose of that car would make a huge difference

    Why not try using a leaf blower on the track before you run? Maybe it’ll help remove any dirt/sand before you run? Worth a try?

    Can you please post a video on how to fix the solid red light on the charger when the battery is plugged in because I have been able to even run my car cause I haven’t been able to charge the battery yet because of this issue

  • @toolbaggers
    @toolbaggers 3 месяца назад +1

    I bet it seems faster mostly due to the gyro letting you accelerate and brake much more aggressively because you're not spinning out as much.

  • @jalee6587
    @jalee6587 3 месяца назад +1

    It's only faster because you can carry more speed on the straights due to gyro stability vs before you were fighting to keep control let alone high speeds

    Any possibility of adding front and rear sway bars?

  • @rc-daily
    @rc-daily 3 месяца назад

    I'd stiffen the right rear spring and add some thicker oil. I'd probably also add a tiny bit of weight to the front left

    • @rc-daily
      @rc-daily 3 месяца назад

      You also don't want the car breaking the rear loose. Sliding is slow. You want it to feel like it's riding on a rail. Also slow in means fast out. Fast In means loss of control, pushing, and super slow out.
