Yes, the kitten sure is precious! But, actually, sometimes cats will purr when they are nervous or stressed, and it’s theorized that they do this as a form of healing. Jackson 83: I agree. I can only conclude that at that time, the vet was not as familiar with cats as he is with dogs. Cats are very stoic creatures and appear to tolerate pain well. But that doesn't mean they don't feel it. I've noticed through the years that they remember and associate the person with the pain and are wary and distrustful of them. It takes a whole lot of effort to get them to trust again.
Exactly! Painful memories! And another thing..we don’t know for certain if the cat is absolutely pain free now? I know people who have had pins put in their bones & every so often it becomes painful for them & need to take medication, especially when very active on the bone. The kitty could be taking meds as well😏

Well done Matt. I think this is the sweet spot of videos. You went into detail about diagnosis then prognosis. My cat tore her cruciate ligament, the vet was not sure if I wanted to fix her, as it was uncommon for cats to do this. It's 3 years ago now, and the cat is fully functional and jump as high as before ... I'm so happy that I did it ... this reminded me of her ... and yes, she now hate the vet like the plague ... she even bit me for the first and only time when I came to pick her up ... so ungrateful ... but I am very :) Love your videos ... pro-fessional that know what they are doing are rare ...
I also have one who tore her cruciate ligament, just before the July 4th holiday... My vet discouraged surgery and splinting, but rather recommended what I will call the Dr Matt treatment (from the Mikey, kitten with broken pelvis video: "I had to pull out some pretty scientific machinery (a cage) and perform some highly technical procedures (fed him cat food) to fix this kitty.) I happened to have some 'machinery' and used it for about 8 days along with the 'technical procedures' described. She still had a little limp after that, but I kept her from some areas of the house which might encourage jumping, etc. Last night I watched her climb the "machinery" to get on top of it - this is a cat 'playpen', like a large crate with platform levels, maybe 4' high - I blocked off the access to other levels when she was in it so she would rest/not climb/not jump. Can't keep a good cat down!

The kitty could be taking meds as well😏
Diane d'Lune Jokes? Sarcasm? What’s that?
My dad was an orthopedic surgeon DVM and this was cool to see I would be the one assisting in surgery, thanks for the good memories just lost him 2 years ago
And that's how you spot a professional: "I know how to do it, but I won't do it because I know that I still don't know enough or am not experienced enough."
Well then he isn't a professional because he isn't experienced enough
@@araylaurence6220 Wrong. A pro is not the all-mighty. A pro knows his experience and his limitations.
@@tobiaswichert4843 I never said he is all mighty however a professional shouldn't rely on others to complete the job
@@araylaurence6220 Oh absolutely not. A pro can recognize and utilize others with a skill greater than his. Someone who insists on doing everything by himself is either a bloody amateur, completely ignorant of the required skill, dangerously dumb and/or a narcissist. Or all of the above.
And realistically should not even try to do the job.
@@tobiaswichert4843I agree however I still wouldn't consider him a professional, I would consider the person that done the surgery a professional
Well done Matt. I think this is the sweet spot of videos. You went into detail about diagnosis then prognosis. You showed minimal blood but you showed technique then you showed range of motion afterward. If RUclips demonizes this, especially since this is an educational channel, I don't know what will make them happy.
Jordan Roberts, that's what I was thinking. The surgeon added so much as well... It was almost like you we're being taught in a lecture. I liked it and glad I was not the only one that thought that. Neat. 😊
Funny how these get demonetized if there is blood but when it has ads it's for a movie that is just endless gore and blood
Haha.
Lmao!!!! So true!
LOL yep
And alcohol when this is supposed to be oh so "family friendly".
Tuckster1979 so true.
First time seeing this guy outside of Demo ranch and gotta say I love it! :D
On the thumbnail he was touching its head and it said "yep its broken" i thought the kitty broke its neck and died😰😨😱
But nope😄phew
I thought the same thing, expect the dead part
IKR
Saaaame
Next level clickbait
Peyton Lott I love your profile picture
probably one of the friendliest kittens i've ever seen
I'm glad you could get her leg fixed! I just wanted to say that my kitty Swissy always comes over and thanks me after dinner. ;-)
Love and Respect You So Much Matt
🙏❤❤👍👍👍🇯🇲
poor baby, don't take it personally Matt! She assumes pain will follow when she sees you! Bet if you went to her instead of seeing her at the clinic it would be a whole different story!
Dear Vet Ranch: The comments featured in print on your videos go by too fast--especially at the end-- and the fancy typeface ("font" actually refers to letter size) is difficult to read as it goes across the screen.. Just thought you ought to know
Deb Olsen lol he was joking
"Yup, it's broken"
Is it plugged in?
uhhhhhh, no. hmmm.
*plugs it in and it sparks and I go flying backwards* ouch...
Send it back to the factory for repairs. My friends cat is just broken in every way. It hates sitting in your lap and sleeping. In fact it hates when you sit down while holding it. They've seen their cat licking their dog. My friend swears the cat grows another 4 legs while running. And they gave it a generic name. Jackson
Beardy “Did you turn it off then turn it back on?”
Special Dude nope I didn’t see them saw your comment and decided to joke around. Oops
He referred to the cat as a “patient” 🥺🥺🥺🥺
My vet does that, too. ☺️
he is the patient after all
What else would you say?
Tf would you say? He's a vet, the animals are his patients
???? What you expect him to call it? a pussy ?!
Wow, I've been watching Demo Ranch forever now.. I had NO clue you were a vet! Insane. You're one hell of a dude, respect!
When you are happy to see an ad in a video
Communist Doggo so true
I watched all 3-4 of them!!
Shit, I didn't :/
TheCanadian Squid then play the ads again.
No ads here. 🙂
matt u got gold heart ...man u just make my life for inspiration source..love uu
These videos are so interesting. I love all the surgery videos and different cases.
❤️ Watched all the ads of course!
Hound Life Vlogs I love people like you 😊❤️. I subscribed to you as well since you love animals and have so many!
CatTV Thank You, you're sweet. We will be getting another puppy soon as well haha.
Matt is such a great doc, what makes him even greater, he knows when to stand back and let a more experienced doc take lead. Much respect to Matt and the team at Vet Ranch!
nifepartie yes, I completely agree. Do what is best for the animal.
You do realize you don't have to watch the add for him to get money. Omg 🤣
Thank you Dr. Matt and everyone at Pet Ranch. Just so that you know, my 7 kitties - ALL rescues and inherited babies - say thank you to my husband and I daily. Usually around dinner time. ;-)
6:36 How to do surgery on a small kitten.
Step 1: Break out the power drill
that little kitties meow is so funny and cute.
Masey Shong ikr
She's beautiful, I know you can help her Dr. Matt
Thak you for being kind to this cute creatures... i dont skip this video ads... and keep supporting this activities
I saw the title and the thumbail and thought this guys was like:
*"Yep...this cat is broken. May have to reboot it :/"*
Overall, i liked this video. That poor kitty was so cute with those little meows. Im glad she's fine. The vet did a really good job on that leg!
My cat tore her cruciate ligament, the vet was not sure if I wanted to fix her, as it was uncommon for cats to do this. It's 3 years ago now, and the cat is fully functional and jump as high as before ... I'm so happy that I did it ... this reminded me of her ... and yes, she now hate the vet like the plague ... she even bit me for the first and only time when I came to pick her up ... so ungrateful ... but I am very :)
Love your videos ... pro-fessional that know what they are doing are rare ...
I also have one who tore her cruciate ligament, just before the July 4th holiday... My vet discouraged surgery and splinting, but rather recommended what I will call the Dr Matt treatment (from the Mikey, kitten with broken pelvis video: "I had to pull out some pretty scientific machinery (a cage) and perform some highly technical procedures (fed him cat food) to fix this kitty.)
I happened to have some 'machinery' and used it for about 8 days along with the 'technical procedures' described.
Wait, is this DemolitionRanch's second channel?
Oh, IT IS! I WAS SO CONFUSED.
Ya I had no clue he was a vet
He's a doctorish
Uh no this is the main channel demo is the secondary channel
FLA_ Oracle the demo one is more up my alley
@@derekendres7176 oh ok I was just letting you know it could be the other way around he also has a channel called off the ranch if you wand more vet ranch
Poor kitty.. I hope she/he’s better and wish luck upon future animals that need surgery
I SAW THE TITLE THEN I SAW HIM HOLDING A CAT'S FUCKING HEAD AND I WAS LIKE WHAT-
Jaydien Oscar tHe kIt bRoKe
I thought the jaw was broken because he was holding the cat's head
I also thought it was going to be the jaw!
No. He was checking her teeth and gums but I get where you were coming from
I THOUGHT HER SKULL WAS BROKEN
"We're here to rescue this kitten, and..."
I'm not questioning your methods, but WHY IS THERE A DRILL?!
It’s to place the pins in the bone to hold them together so she can heal properly
Sgt. Buck they do it to humans too. :) don’t worry, they are small enough not to effect anything
@mayte Yeah good thing they didn't show the kitten a you tube video of the surgical procedure or she would have been "You are going to do WHAT to my leg?", like I did when I watched an actually thumb joint reconstruction before my hand surgery.
@@tinydancer7426 they did WHAT to you?! The SHOWED YOU what they were going to do to you?
cimogm Before my grandma got her hip replacement I watched a video on RUclips of drs doing one and I was so scared for her. When she showed me her incision I almost threw up because I just started picturing them taking out her hip and shoving another one in there. 🤣
When Dr. Matt said, "hello little kitten" I completely melted. I am now a puddle.
undertowsoul when he said it the voice reminded me of cermet/Kermit (Jenna marbles dog)
undertowsoul wait what
undertowsoul he said it the same time I read this and same
Poor baby. I'm so glad that she got helped and fixed
Awww she is adorable! who agree?
Poor little cutie, it’s amazing how much pain cats must put up with considering humans would never appreciate being picked up or having their broken leg pushed around like that. I have a newfound extra respect for them, and well done to the vets for caring so much for these animals
Her meows are the cutest little thing! ❤️❤️❤️
That's her screaming for help
I love cats so much. They can go through some crap and still have their purr engine going and be the sweetest thing. We had a kitten that passed away today who was so affectionate even though she wasn't really able to eat, especially these last few days.
I never skip any of your ads because the money is used to help save animals
DAVEN GUZMAN why?
Because the money is used to help save animals that would have othewise been euthanized
I thought this was one of these "Your cat is broken" type of memes lmfao
Thank you for helping out videos help a person know if an animal is in need when there r no vet
I love seeing this side of you (worked in a specialist veterinary hospital) and then your other channel is such a contrast! I didn't realise you had 3 channel I only knew of two of em.
POOR BABY!! I'm happy it made a great recovery
She is such a cute kitty. Thank you so much for helpng her
The outcome made me smile and made me feel happy going from a dislocated bone and unable to walk to being a perfectly normal cat it's truely wonderful
Man I just seen this dude shooting guns on another channel for the past year. And I'm just now finding out he has 2 other channels. As a vet and as a dad. True hero. This man is a legend. And is really good and sweet to animals.
