  • In this video I show you a few woodworking joinery ideas using laser engraver to make a template. As for me this is the simplest method making these decorative joints. I don't want to advertise any brand but have to say it has a 12 watt optical power laser head, it's enough to cut 6mm plywood in 3-4 pathes. The software I use with my laser engraver - Lightburn

Oh yeh baby, nice 😁 now, why didn't I think of trying something like that?
In 27 years as a carpenter, I had never seen joints like the three you came up with. I've been doing the same old traditional jointing as dovetail, for example, boring compared to yours.
I can see where your design will look great in some of my projects, especially when joining different types of wood and the combination from ying and jang styles.
Great work, my friend. Great mind, too 😉

I like how you cut a clean line on the table saw jig then hogged out the majority of the materials on the band saw.

Nice work, laser is high tech for you. Great tool. Great joint designs too.
I assume apart from the centre line, the other scorch lines are not required and are burned during rapid moves between different vectors.
In GRBL you can set $32=1 to enable Laser mode, should switch off laser when travelling between vectors.
