I have used a lot of calls since I started turkey hunting. It was late when I applied myself to using a wingbone. Just to give some background, I killed my first turkey in 1980 when I was 11 years old. It must have been 2019 before I truly embraced the wingbone, and it opened the door to some things I didn’t know existed. You can become a part of the flock with a wingbone that I don’t think is possible with any other call. However, just like anything else, sometimes, they pay no attention to you, but more often than not, you get their attention when you learn how to run the call.
That’s really interesting. I’m normally a slate guy…but love the fact that the wing bone is from the turkey itself. Kinda brings it full circle. Thanks for watching!
They work..... I made my first one when I was about 10 years old with my Dad. I used to sell them for $10.00 to guys at church..... that was over 40 years ago.... Maybe I should start making them again.....
Can’t wait for part 2
Awesome! We plan to get together next week….walk, call and talk turkey. Thanks for watching!

I've got a wingbone from Mark Sharpe another legendary Georgian. Claxton, Georgia. He has a long waiting list.
Really cool to be able to see old school craftsmanship. Just wish I could call better…lol
