"Insulating the soap" in soap making means covering the soap mold to retain heat during saponification, which helps the soap go through the gel phase for a smoother texture and appearance.
Wonderful. I prefer the other side of the soap, with the bright middle. Do they smell like jasmine? And what gives them apricot kernel oil? Tnx you are sharing a video. Best regards!❤️👍
ljiljana kakokad Thank you! The soap smells like the essential oils I used but the tea leaves on top have a really nice jasmine tea scent🙂 I use apricot kernel oil for its conditioning properties and lable appeal. For me it’s a luxury oil so I use it in small quantities.
Hi! I have some questions. 1. Why did you ad 70 grams of distilled water more from needed? 2. Did you use distilled water to boil the tea leaves? 3. How much was the superfat? I love the texture!
Thank you! The dark rind was from the tea, this is similar to what happens when making soap with vanilla. It has pretty much evened out now since the bars have been exposed to air for a few days🙂
mirwena Thank you! That sounded like a lot, I had to check the video, I used 1 tsp dispersed in 2 tsp water🙂. I always decide in advance how much I want to use and then use all of what I have prepared.
tellervo Sorry, my bad! I wasn’t clear enough :) I meant ’2 teaspoons of dilution’. Thank You! Really hope for more videos from you. In fact, I’ve started from the one about how to make harder soap :)
mirwena No worries☺️. Thank you, that is so nice of you! I’m just waiting for some studio lights that I ordered, I’ll definitely film more videos then. It’s pretty dark here in the north this time of the year and I want the videos to have better lighting🙂
Loving this recipe and can't wait to try it out!! I plugged all the numbers into SoapCalc but my lye (amount in grams came out different). After thinking, I'm assuming this is because my total batch weight is larger. I don't want to mess this up!! Haha!
I watched all your videos and they are just too good! 🌻🌻🌻 Could you please tell me what was temperature of Lye water and oils before mixing them both together?🌻🌻
Kiva idea tuo tee!
Kiitos! Kiva saada ensimmäinen suomenkielinen kommentti😊 Itse olen tilannut wanhasta wiljamista ja aikaisemmin myös Lahtisen vahavalimosta. Vaikuttaa kyllä aika työläältä jos itse alkaisi tekemään🙂
@@tellervo. Thank you very much. I've been using WAAAAAYY to little to scent my attempts but sometimes the soaps set as fast as a dentist curing a filling! Only allowed 3% in the UK, I believe, but fragrance oil is different.
Stan Watt Glad to help🙂. A lot of essential oils can be used at 5% according to the ifra guidelines. Some definitely accelerate trace, especially florals.
@@tellervo. I find that jasmine is always a fast setting oil, possibly gardenia, too. I'm going to try sea buckthorn today and see if I can get it to gell as it pours out of the jug lol
I’ve been watching a lot of soap videos lately and yours just blew my mind when I saw how it cured!
THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video! Clear simple and very easy... I loved the way you explained the steps
I'm glad you liked it😘
Прекрасное видео. Подскажите, а почему мыло было разного цвета. В середине светлое, а с наружу и тёмное?
Beautiful video, thank you so much, can you tell me the temperature used for lye and oils please? 😊
Great video! But what temperature was the lye and oils please? Thanks in advance
I love your soaps each one very special
Thank you Tassie for all your kind comments❤
The texture looks very nice! 😊
Thank you☺
Wonderful video, lovely soap. Thank you for sharing.
HI! I just saw this... I'd like to know if we could do this with rose petals? 😊
Hello dear Sara
Can I change kernel oil for another ? I’m begginer in this soap world
Love your amazing work
Love from angola 🇦🇴
You make it look so easy
Is there a benefit to first freezing the tea as opposed to just chilling it?
Thank you for the video. How about kaolin clay to light up the soap? Does it work?
Yes I think it would work
@@tellervo. thank you for the answer :)
Hi, thank you for the lovely recipe. Could you tell me what you mean by "insulating" the soap?

Hello there! Thanks for the video, I was just thinking of making some green tea soap so this is a great reference for me!!!
Awesome😊
Hi! I have some questions.
1. Why did you ad 70 grams of distilled water more from needed?
2. Did you use distilled water to boil the tea leaves?
3. How much was the superfat? I love the texture!
1. I added some extra in case some would evaporate.
2. Yes
3. 5%
Looks like a piece of cake 😍😍😍
I loveeee this! My favorite so far
This is so cool. Fragrance used is calming. Thank you very much Maam for sharing your k owledge! ♥️☝️
Thank you🙂
definitely gonna try this.. looks so lovely!
Did you experienced partial gel after the cut? Looks very cooling. Nice work.

Love it! As a ‘from-time-to-time’ soap maker, I’m wondering about TD. Do you use whole 2 tablespoons of it? Or just making more and adding by feeling?
mirwena Thank you! That sounded like a lot, I had to check the video, I used 1 tsp dispersed in 2 tsp water🙂. I always decide in advance how much I want to use and then use all of what I have prepared.

Beautiful soap!
Very simple and detailed video thank you

Thanks! Yes that's probably it, I just plugged it in soapee and everything looks fine to me :)
Awesome! Thanks so much Sara for sharing! Keep the amazing content coming! 😌
It looks amazing! However, may I know if it’s possible to replace shea butter with olive oil? ☺️
Thank you. Yes, but you have to run it through a lye calculator like soapee.com
Hi, why do you have to freeze the green tea ? Thank you
i think it's too counter the heat from when you add the lye
I watched all your videos and they are just too good! 🌻🌻🌻 Could you please tell me what was temperature of Lye water and oils before mixing them both together?🌻🌻
Thank you so much💝 My lye water is always room temp and my oils around 30 degrees celsius
@@tellervo. thank you for your response 🌻🌻 so room temperature meaning 27 degree Celsius?
27 is fine🙂
@@tellervo. Thank you 💛
Доброе утро, не могли бы вы сказать это инфуз мяты?
Hi! How long do we need to cure it before we can begin using it?
4-6 weeks
Wow it's really a great video. Want to bath with that soap. Can you please make soap with Dead sea mud ?
How do you insulate?
Can I remove titanium dioxide from the recipe
Beautiful.. from Tree Marie . Thank you for sharing..
Cindee Smith Thank you☺️
WOW

Scottia Jordan Thank you!

I have hemp tea can I use it. I only found hemp oil soap but not hemp tea soap🤦♀️
Any tea should work🙂

What volume of EO did you use?
Stan Watt 5% of the weight of the oils. I used 2 parts each of lavender and orange and 1 part each of cedarwood and ylang ylang.

Chlorogenic acid and Vitamin C in the scented tea can make the skin become exquisite, white and glossy.
