    Прекрасное видео. Подскажите, а почему мыло было разного цвета. В середине светлое, а с наружу и тёмное?

    Hi, thank you for the lovely recipe. Could you tell me what you mean by "insulating" the soap?

    • @Mariatempa
      @Mariatempa 7 месяцев назад

      "Insulating the soap" in soap making means covering the soap mold to retain heat during saponification, which helps the soap go through the gel phase for a smoother texture and appearance.

    Wonderful. I prefer the other side of the soap, with the bright middle. Do they smell like jasmine? And what gives them apricot kernel oil? Tnx you are sharing a video. Best regards!❤️👍

    • @tellervo.
      @tellervo.  4 года назад +2

      ljiljana kakokad Thank you! The soap smells like the essential oils I used but the tea leaves on top have a really nice jasmine tea scent🙂 I use apricot kernel oil for its conditioning properties and lable appeal. For me it’s a luxury oil so I use it in small quantities.

    Hi! I have some questions.
    1. Why did you ad 70 grams of distilled water more from needed?
    2. Did you use distilled water to boil the tea leaves?
    3. How much was the superfat? I love the texture!

    • @tellervo.
      @tellervo.  4 года назад +6

      1. I added some extra in case some would evaporate.
      2. Yes
      3. 5%

      Thank you! The dark rind was from the tea, this is similar to what happens when making soap with vanilla. It has pretty much evened out now since the bars have been exposed to air for a few days🙂

  • @mirwena

    Love it! As a ‘from-time-to-time’ soap maker, I’m wondering about TD. Do you use whole 2 tablespoons of it? Or just making more and adding by feeling?

    • @tellervo.
      @tellervo.  4 года назад +4

      mirwena Thank you! That sounded like a lot, I had to check the video, I used 1 tsp dispersed in 2 tsp water🙂. I always decide in advance how much I want to use and then use all of what I have prepared.

      mirwena No worries☺️. Thank you, that is so nice of you! I’m just waiting for some studio lights that I ordered, I’ll definitely film more videos then. It’s pretty dark here in the north this time of the year and I want the videos to have better lighting🙂

    Kiva idea tuo tee! Ja kiva löytää suomalaisiakin saippuaharrastajia RUclipssta. :) Mistä kannattaisi hankkia oma lipeä? Harkitsin jo sitä että tekisin alusta alkaen itse (tuhkasta), mutta se olisi hirveän vaivalloista.

    What volume of EO did you use?

    • @tellervo.

      @@tellervo. Thank you very much. I've been using WAAAAAYY to little to scent my attempts but sometimes the soaps set as fast as a dentist curing a filling! Only allowed 3% in the UK, I believe, but fragrance oil is different.

    • @tellervo.

      Stan Watt Glad to help🙂. A lot of essential oils can be used at 5% according to the ifra guidelines. Some definitely accelerate trace, especially florals.

    Chlorogenic acid and Vitamin C in the scented tea can make the skin become exquisite, white and glossy.
