  • A fairly long video going over each of the components of a Goerz Minicord subminiature TLR camera. These were made for a few years in Austria in the early 50's, in a few models. They took 10mm square photos on 16mm double perf film, but single perf seems like it would work. The camera is pretty simple in construction, but high quality in production. With some hands on ability they really aren't hard to work on. These cameras are somewhat rare and come up in submini discussions, but there's very little hands on info about them. I got this camera cheap, dirty condition so it needed work no matter who had it. Sorry for the jerky format and direction, it was just tossed together as I went along.
The only technical info I've found on the camera:

Really nice, thank you for this video! I have a Minicord as well, also in brown, ans I consider it one of the weirdest, most ingenious camera's ever made. The prism construction at the top is also highly interesting because the frosted glass is not located between the lens and the prism but somewhere in between two prisms. Do you know how to open that part of the camera? I would like to remove some dust particles visitble through the viewfinder, but I do not want to damage the camera..
