Technically you can use a fishbowl for fish but you have to know how to maintain the tank. My friend has a few fish in a fishbowl but she has real plants and the mechanical works for her fishbowl (like a water filter and air pump)
@@emilycameron1035 maybe if the fish bowl is like huge, but they really shouldn't be used at all, the rounded sides/shape creates a very hectic view for the fish of the world outside the bowl and can mess with them and even scare them. And plus it just makes it even harder to have the proper equipment in the tank, so if you do have the proper stuff in the tank that's creating a even tighter space for the fish. It's just all around not great to keep them in a bowl, and would just be smarter and easier to have a actual tank.
@@deliriousdemons0119 hers is a custom round tank. She spent a few thousands on it and it's has space plus she also has smaller ones that have the works and her fish are still living
@megandeal2630 you can get a small dish of warm water, and put the container in it. Just make sure no water gets inside and dry it off before you use it
I seen someone else opening mini verse items, when they get a double, they create something else out of it, with any other left overs. I’d love to see Jackie do this, as she is so creative.
8:25 FOOK YEAH!!! I love that you advocate for bigger tanks! Bettas especially are kept in stuff way too small. If u give them a big fun home to explore they never stop exploring and showing so much personality! Both for the owner’s enjoyment and the betta’s wellbeing a 5 gallon or larger is ideal
I remember when I was a teenager my mom, it was supposed to be my sister's, had a large fish tank with a beta and a cleaner fish in it. The beta would actually come to the top of the tank and my mom would very very gently pet its head. It seemed to enjoy it as it came up to have my mom rub its head every morning.
The 3 and 5 in the instructions for the fish bowl are showing how much you put in each step (see the little asterisks by step three and five. So first the pebbles, then fish and plant then fill "water" to cover the pebbles and harden, then fill up the rest ☺️
yeah it was a ratio kind of thing. the way she did it i think she used too much gravel that in the end product it looks like the gravel is the focal point of the aquarium.
I got a gacha cactus project once and they used brown air dry clay as the soil so once it hardened it stayed! That would be a good alternative here to the kinetic sand. Or like you said a "watering can" for a top layer of resin over the soil to hold the rocks
I agree with the plant, it really needs resin, they could have at least made the sand or rocks have resin in it so that it won't just tip over and everything can just fly out. Other ones were super adorable! Can't wait to see the turtle one! Excited for some more!

One thing you could do with the tiny candle ones - put a dot of resin on the bottom of the wick and place it down in the jar first then harden that so it is more likely to stay centered. Kind of like you'd do when making a real candle minus the wick centerer.
Yeah like I was very confused as to why she put in the wick after pouring all that resin lol. I would have stuck some under it and then poured the rest.

They are so cute! For the goldfish, I too would've poured resin, but like... 1 drop, and add the plant and fish where I wanted them and cure. Then add the gravel. 🤔 For the candles, you could center them if you like by using toothpicks on top to keep that wick in place ^^ however, a little off center does give that 'handmade' feeling. 🥰 The plant... I would've used resin to set it at the bottom XD then add all the 'soil' and gravel hahaha

I like her OOAK's better. I started doing clay because of Jackie and now I made realistic doll house foods and such. I recall a play ground she made with a working swing and teeter totter, because of that I made a dollhouse for a dollhouse including the garden, treehouse, river, apple tree, gravel path, laundry line, swing in the oak tree and so on. The finished piece was 2" x 2", the house was the size of a thumb nail. This became a gift to a woman whose son died of Covid. She said it reminded her of her sons home so I gave it to her. One apple in the tree was the size of a flea.
Yes! I've been waiting for this ever since I saw these things. Thank you for the little goldfish bowl PSA, I get very upset when people put goldfish and Betta fish in small bowls with zero filtration. I believe for the cactus you need to put the cactus in first, kenectic sand second, and at the end the tiny rocks. If you look at the picture, the cactus is half way inside the pot. Thx for sharing. 👍☺👍🤗💛

I agree with you about the plants. I was so disappointed when I saw they didn’t use resin. I like the fake dirt and the rocks BUT I have a huge problem with it not being sealed in somehow. I like to make these then give them to my daughter for her doll house but I can’t give her the plants because that is a mess waiting to happen 😅

in the goldfish craft, the *3/*5 are telling you how much resin to pour before you cure. so after adding the fish and plant, you fill it halfway and cure, and then you fill the bowl the rest of the way and cure. which is what you did 😂 i got the purple betta and i popped all the bubbles i saw, but i probably did get air pockets with the rocks because my betta is building a huge bubble nest in their bowl 😅
ive seen people not struggle as much with the fish bowls also it's probably just me but i like the bubbles and the plant poking out in the bowl😂 it looks cute
I'm really glad that you got the kitty fishbowl! That was the one that I wanted. I did get the turtle and the betta though, so I'm happy. It was nice to see you assemble it together, so now I can use your tips to put mine together because I was afraid of the air pockets.
When I got a few of these I also had the tall cactus and I got the turtle too, I ended up using “water” resin from the turtle on top of the cactus rocks and it was SO MUCH BETTER

I found those at Target recently and tried 1. It was the hanging succulents. The succulent that hangs out of the pot, I had to pull out the soil and superglue it in place before adding the soil to get it to stay. The soil seemed like kinetic sand.

They should had added scents to the diner/cafe line. But the problem is the resin is toxic smell and adding scents could make it worse for people to inhale. It would been nice.
I think the idea was to have some resin free bc some people complained about all the resin. You could always use up any leftover resin from the other kits ❤

I think the cactus was visually the cutest, but I agree, the tipping hazard was not a good thing. Then again, since cacti need very little water to survive, adding water (resin) would have made it less authentic, and these projects always seem to go for the most authenticity possible. The fish bowl was cute, too, but I really dislike scented candles.
The strange text is technically now called Lorem Ipsum. It's slaughtered Latin, meant to be just gibberish text to get the feel for a layout, in any media medium and/or for the easy click and replace of text in templates. I was a Graphic Designer. We called it "greeking". The idea and use has been around since the days of hand lettering, single page, prints using hand-presses. The words kerning, tracking and leading also are leftover items/terms from that same period of the early days of hand setting, one page printing.

I've been experimenting with resin. You showed me how to do it! I started to take my insert pieces in completely covered them in resin as many times as I can hearing them in between so by the time I put it into my mold it's round and you can get the air bubbles off of easier! for the 3 and 5 on the fish project, it was to show how much to fill it on the 3rd step, then how much you should fill it on the 5th. hope this helped someone!!
These are so cute! The first two were the best out of the three. To make the cactus more fun and stable, I would take the extra resin and mix it with the soil first, then put the cactus in. Add a bit more resin and rocks harden to set.

You have so many real craft tools , i really had to take a metal pincer to do the craft instead of those little plastic ones. Iam so glad that fishbowl are band here . I have a 600 liter tank in my house i have many fish and shrimps as pets

When I made the candles, I used a sharpie to darken the wick to make it look like I burned it. Super cute!

How can you make your resin more liquidity? My miniverse lifestyle resin came a little thick to get it out of the bottle.

I'm really glad that you got the kitty fishbowl! That was the one that I wanted. I did get the turtle and the betta though, so I'm happy. It was nice to see you assemble it together, so now I can use your tips to put mine together because I was afraid of the air pockets.
When I got a few of these I also had the tall cactus and I got the turtle too, I ended up using “water” resin from the turtle on top of the cactus rocks and it was SO MUCH BETTER
The newspaper has lorem ipsum written on it. It's just placeholder text, usually used when a designer wants to see how text will look. It doesn't really have any meaning. "Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book."
I found those at Target recently and tried 1. It was the hanging succulents.
The succulent that hangs out of the pot, I had to pull out the soil and superglue it in place before adding the soil to get it to stay.
The soil seemed like kinetic sand.
I like the purple candles on the bottom left corner and the kitty cat fish bowl right above it. *25 minutes in.* Yay! You got the two I wanted! lol!

I've tried Make it Mini food for the cafe one and I got the vanilla Donuts, they were so fun! I did it outside too so it was well ventilated at least

They should had added scents to the diner/cafe line. But the problem is the resin is toxic smell and adding scents could make it worse for people to inhale. It would been nice.

I think the idea was to have some resin free bc some people complained about all the resin. You could always use up any leftover resin from the other kits ❤

I think the cactus was visually the cutest, but I agree, the tipping hazard was not a good thing. Then again, since cacti need very little water to survive, adding water (resin) would have made it less authentic, and these projects always seem to go for the most authenticity possible. The fish bowl was cute, too, but I really dislike scented candles.
The strange text is technically now called Lorem Ipsum. It's slaughtered Latin, meant to be just gibberish text to get the feel for a layout, in any media medium and/or for the easy click and replace of text in templates.
I was a Graphic Designer. We called it "greeking". The idea and use has been around since the days of hand lettering, single page, prints using hand-presses. The words kerning, tracking and leading also are leftover items/terms from that same period of the early days of hand setting, one page printing.

I've been experimenting with resin. You showed me how to do it! I started to take my insert pieces in completely covered them in resin as many times as I can hearing them in between so by the time I put it into my mold it's round and you can get the air bubbles off of easier! Thanks for your inspiration❤️🧡💛💚💙💜😻

I am one Salty Grain When it comes to Resin! Im so glad I can watch you do it first!
These are so cute! The first two were the best out of the three. To make the cactus more fun and stable, I would take the extra resin and mix it with the soil first, then put the cactus in. Add a bit more resin and rocks harden to set.
Jackie, I don’t know if you noticed but the name of the plant on the newspaper is ‘Pierce’ when you are making the cactus.

You have so many real craft tools , i really had to take a metal pincer to do the craft instead of those little plastic ones. Iam so glad that fishbowl are band here . I have a 600 liter tank in my house i have many fish and shrimps as pets
