- Chocolate and peanut butter in perfect harmony, with a nice rice cereal crunch!
Rice Krispies treats playlist: • Rice Krispies based re...
1 cup white granulated sugar (200g)
1 cup corn syrup (250ml)
1 1/3 cups creamy peanut butter (335g)
4 1/4 cups Rice Krispies cereal (170g)
6 peanut butter cups chopped or 1 cup (large handful) mini peanut butter cup.
1/2 cup (handful) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Combine sugar, corn syrup and peanut butter in a large bowl until smooth.
Microwave on high for 2 minutes.
Stir until smooth. The mixture should be liquid and appear melted.
The sugar should be mostly dissolved.
(this can be done on the stove in a saucepan on low heat)
Stir in the rice krispies and then stir in chocolate chips. They will melt as you stir and mixture will turn brown.
Gently stir in peanut butter cup pieces.
I suggest adding in about half of the pieces, stir. Place remaining pieces on top of the mixture and scoop them up with a cookie scoop along with some of the mixture. This way every scoop with have an intact peanut butter cup piece to show.
Place scoopfuls of the mixture on a cookie sheet covered with parchment, silicone mat or waxed paper.
Allow to harden at room temperature (or place in refrigerator for a few minutes to speed up the process). Store in a covered container at room temperature.

***NOTES*****
If your finished treats are too hard you heated the sugar/peanut butter mixture too long, try reducing the time.
If your treats don't harden and are too soft, try cooking the mixture longer.

I LOVE comments and I read each and every one of them.
I try very hard to answer questions when I can, but there is an excellent chance your question has been answered in the description box or in the comments, so please take a look.
My favourite channel here on RUclips is CookingAndCrafting. Beth lives in Hawaii and makes great meals, desserts and crafts. Even without the Rice Krispies, the peanut butter/syrup mixture looks like it would be good on pancakes. We always put pb on ours, so this would be perfect.
Delicious indeed.
Gotta make these soon.
Omit the chocolate and add in raisins... PB&J Rice Krispie Treats... Just as good if not better!
Wow, that's rather simple to make. I'm tempted so badly.... maybe I'll try it with corn flakes.

Can I just put the mixture in a tray lined with baking paper instead of making them into little mounds? Thanks
Do you just chill them after?
Where do you work? I bet you're a chef 😊
Is it possible to press these into a flat pan and then cut into squares?
She used 26 peanut butter cups 🍀Happy St. Patty's Day!
can I omit the sugar, coz I don't like too much sweet.
Do you have recipe for spring like sweets. I'm going to a woman's meeting and the told me to bring something you eat in spring. And I want to bring a sweet treat that involved spring.
thanks to write grams!
What is semi sweet? Is rhat like milk or dark chocolate?? Im from a different country so i dont know...
Semi-sweet is dark chocolate
Thanks!!! yoyomax12 - the diet free zone
Are these really sweet?
Yes :)
What else can replace the rice krispies??
rice bubbles, crispix, any very plain or not very sweet cereal.
Calorie over load😳
Anyone know how I store the left overs and how long they keep?
Store them in a covered container at room temperature for a couple of days (unless you live in a super hot climate). If you want to keep these longer, put them in the fridge. They would keep for a good couple of weeks refrigerated or you could freeze them.
Thank you! I'm making some for Christmas and wanted to make them ahead of time to make sure they turn out
