I got my nephew into troop building and Customizing these dudes. He turned Shadow into Firefly, The man with the Shaved head into Storm Shadow and Destro. He also turned troll into Zartan. I am trying to pass the action figure love down to the next gen.
I love that these action figures have lore and evolution, its something rare nowadays for toys. Its incredible I started collecting these guys when I was little then my little brother got a 10 or 12 pack for his birthday, and it was a kick of nostalgia.
i just like to mention something in regards to cross play and mixing toy lines. i've noticed an increase in the 2.5 inch figures available in stores and a lot of them look pretty good. they lack the posability of larger figures but have a lot of detail. plus, if you are a scale nut, they go great with larger toys like transformers and larger space ships.

Dude, the Corps is so sicks. There IS a comic actually. Devil's Due published a 99cent issue #0 back in 2008! There where plans to continue the series but it never happen. Did you ever get any of the 90's Corps sets? Whipsaw was my favorite.

The Corps/True Heroes/True Legends/Power Team Elite/Chap Mei... I've used these to supplement my Joe line for years, picking the wheat from the chaff here and there with respect to the quality and appropriateness of the figures and vehicles. The AB-115, various tanks, that giant sub, and now the new Corps female body and mechs... You can't go wrong with these companies really. That Steel Badger and everything else is on sale now for about $25 through 12/5 at TRU, and we're talking LARGE vehicles for the money you're spending versus overpriced rehashed crap from Hasbro. Yes indeed! These companies are living proof that HASBRO is taking advantage of fans who don't get it. Chap-mei IS a Chinese company and they don't give us crappy products. Yeah, some of the characters are uninspired but, they hold up to what we put em through. And as for that sale you mentioned... I have to check em out!

Growing up, I was into the Corps at the end of 2nd Generation, beginning of 3rd when they added stupid yellow/orange color undershirt. I pulled them out a year ago and can remember each of their names and small facts about their profile cards, which I also kept. The Star Force Corps, by default, were the bad guys!
Just to be clear, I was in TRU a few days ago and saw that all True Heroes stuff is in sale through 12/5, but I'm not sure if that's nationwide or not. At any rate, I picked up the hovercraft with the deployable tank, and it's BAD ASS. I'd long hoped for a re-release of the Killer Whale, but this will do nicely. That said, the Joe line simply doesn't compete effectively with these lines like it used to. There was a time when if you asked for Joe stuff and your folks got you one of these knockoffs, you were pissed. With the improved quality of the figures and vehicles, as well as their affordability, for the price of the new HISS/Skystriker set, you can get a whole damned True Heroes/Chap Mei army that looks almost as good as the Joe stuff. That's winning.
Good video! The 3 3/4 inch Corps Elite toys are good for what they are! You get a lot of bang for buck with these Corps toys over Hasbro/G.I. Joe especially with the vehicles! I like what they did with their website; in the fact that it tells a little story! I have my eye on the mini MRAP truck vehicle that is posted on their website but has not hit retail yet and the Titan tank! I think some of people behind the scenes working the CORPS toy line now used to work for Hasbro/G.I. Joe! I like whole character evolvement thing; this only makes sense! -You have characters that move up thru the ranks, you have characters who defect due to money or personal beliefs and you have those characters who are content where they are in their specialty; so that is cool that you see this with the CORPS! The CORPS Elite toys have something going with these new female figures; they just need to get the male counterparts on the same playing field as far as the new articulation! I can see why the kids like these figures; but Lanard the CORPS figures are not for me other than the female figures for stand in characters or parts swaps! Like someone mentioned down below, I've have been supplementing my G.I. Joe vehicles with 1/16 to 1/18 scale vehicles from other toy companies like: World Peacekeepers Power Team Elite, True Heroes and BBI Elite Force because you get more plastic and more bang for your dollar!
Strydent, I am curious if you have any questions or concerns about the "GI Joe - The Rise of Cobra", in which, in the movie, that Cobra Commander makes soldiers through nanomite injection, and that part of the plot was taken out of the Curse bad guys, as you were talking about in this video? To me, Cobra Commander didn't look like the original Cobra Commander in that movie.
That plot precedes the current direction of the CORPS vs The Curse by a good few years. They clearly took it from ROC and ran with it...and more power to em. It seems to work better for them than with the Joes.

+Raphael cook That Shipwreck is quality. CoCo...not so much. But as far as Kamen Riders go, I dig the earlier ones the most. They feel unique and not like they could be swapped with Super Sentai/Power Rangers. Look at my "Let's talk about Kamen Rider" vid.

Love this video. Reminds me of the o-ring Corps figures I had as a kid. Very strong nostalgic attachment to this brand.
Snakebite and Puma both have crossbows that fits on to the back. If the crossbow is pointed upward it will hold the knives in place.

There was a time when if you asked for Joe stuff and your folks got you one of these knockoffs, you were pissed. With the improved quality of the figures and vehicles, as well as their affordability, for the price of the new HISS/Skystriker set, you can get a whole damned True Heroes/Chap Mei army that looks almost as good as the Joe stuff. That's winning.

I never knew about the Corps stuff until this year. I like thier vehicles. The two female figures look better than any of hasbro's ladies.

Good video! The 3 3/4 inch Corps Elite toys are good for what they are! You get a lot of bang for buck with these Corps toys over Hasbro/G.I. Joe especially with the vehicles! I like what they did with their website; in the fact that it tells a little story! I have my eye on the mini MRAP truck vehicle that is posted on their website but has not hit retail yet and the Titan tank! I think some of people behind the scenes working the CORPS toy line now used to work for Hasbro/G.I. Joe! I like whole character evolvement thing; this only makes sense! -You have characters that move up thru the ranks, you have characters who defect due to money or personal beliefs and you have those characters who are content where they are in their specialty; so that is cool that you see this with the CORPS! The CORPS Elite toys have something going with these new female figures; they just need to get the male counterparts on the same playing field as far as the new articulation! I can see why the kids like these figures; but Lanard the CORPS figures are not for me other than the female figures for stand in characters or parts swaps! Like someone mentioned down below, I've have been supplementing my G.I. Joe vehicles with 1/16 to 1/18 scale vehicles from other toy companies like: World Peacekeepers Power Team Elite, True Heroes and BBI Elite Force because you get more plastic and more bang for your dollar!
Strydent, I am curious if you have any questions or concerns about the "GI Joe - The Rise of Cobra", in which, in the movie, that Cobra Commander makes soldiers through nanomite injection, and that part of the plot was taken out of the Curse bad guys, as you were talking about in this video? To me, Cobra Commander didn't look like the original Cobra Commander in that movie.
That plot precedes the current direction of the CORPS vs The Curse by a good few years. They clearly took it from ROC and ran with it...and more power to em. It seems to work better for them than with the Joes.

+Raphael cook That Shipwreck is quality. CoCo...not so much. But as far as Kamen Riders go, I dig the earlier ones the most. They feel unique and not like they could be swapped with Super Sentai/Power Rangers. Look at my "Let's talk about Kamen Rider" vid.
