    Quite the testament to 1up's great reputation. Your rack looks almost new. Availability of replacement parts means longevity for sure! Yes, the e-moto rated rack is the 1up Xtreme Duty. Carries 345 lbs (150 tray 1, 120 tray 2 and 75 tray 3). We ordered it with 1 add-on. Just e-bikes for now but for RV duty which is a greater challenge to rack integrity due to the dynamic forces on a rack that is more than 5' from the rear axle. That is why we purchased from them and the fact that it is made in U.S.A. 🇺🇸

    Great video, thanks for sharing! I have been using this rack for over 2 years now for a 100lb , fat tire e-bike. I purchased the optional fat tire width extensions and the ramp for ease of loading/unloading. Great rack!!

    I have to hand it to you this was a very well done review without all the typical RUclips annoying bells and whistles. It was straight forward and on point on all the valid points to make about this kind of quality rack vs the other high name brands that are heavy and bulky and even sometimes more expensive then even the 1up racks or quickr Mach2 racks. I am guessing you are in San Diego or the Santa Cruz areas judging by your scenery in the background of your video. I was a lifetime resident of Silicon Valley and Santa Cruz. Great biking areas. Check out my videos and scroll back as I lived in the Netherlands for 5 years and made plenty of videos. To let you the Dutch would kill to have a Subaru they love that station wagon. Have you looked at the new company that engineered and designed the 1up rack who left 1up and started his own company called Quikr? I ordered the Mach2 rack from them because it folds up and I can store it in the cargo space of my Honda CRV if I want or in a much smaller space in the garage. The folding aspect of the Mach2 was the tipping point for me over the 1up which is almost the same as the Mach2 rack. You have a good day and great review. 👍🇳🇱🇺🇸

    For me a big advantage is the rack can be folded and placed in my trunk. No other rack compares.

      You know, I forgot that it does that because I never do that, but yeah. Handy.

      How easy and quick is it to take off?

    • @tomcurry5523
      @tomcurry5523 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@glenmontpiankhi About 30 seconds. Just need special Allen wrench to loosen bolt securing rack to hitch. Fold arms place in trunk or store in garage. Always think it's funny that people live with the pain of an empty bike rack for the 5% of the time they need it.. No other rack is this easy to store

    Thanks for making the video. How much of your rear view camera and sensors are blocked by the rack with and with out a bike?

    • @oldguyandabike
      @oldguyandabike  3 месяца назад

      With bikes on there, pretty much all of them. It is just what it is. Without bikes, cameras are fine, but the Tesla does scold us about having just a rack on there...we ignore it.

    Do your bikes block somehow the brake lights or license plate ?. Thanks for the video 🤘.

      It sure could. But all these racks do one or the other.

    Question, how is the bike rack protected from a thief just taking it off your car?

    • @oldguyandabike
      @oldguyandabike  Год назад +2

      The fixing/expansion bolt is a ‘security’ Allen head that takes a special wrench. Other than that? Nothing. But you could just use a piece of chain or cable through the hitch/safety chain loops.

      If you get the heavy duty rack and up, they come with a locking hitch pin (at least the 2” does) in addition to the proprietary hex bolt.

    Don't buy the admore rear light bar. They are no good and their customer service is horrible.
