I have been there and I tell you the memories are beautiful. Beautiful weather, beautiful food and the people are so chill and inviting. Definitely visit Iran if you are not an Iranian, you will be mesmerized by the cultural experience.
I really want to visit again one day. I went as a kid but want to go back as an adult after I read and understand all the historical significance of the places I saw there. Iranian people are extremely open-minded. Half of them are liberal/progressive and even muslim conservatives in Iran are open-minded and welcoming. Iranians love American people and culture. If these two countries get together, the possibilities are endless.
