You can name any athlete in any sport in the world, be it football, baseball, basketball, tennis, swimming, or any form of auto racing anywhere, and there isn't a single athlete you can name who has won more professional season championships than John Force. Crazy, right? And just think, many of us, myself included, have been going to the races since he first got into the sport, and for years the man couldn't win a race to save his life. Now here he is, the winningest person in ever. John Force truly is the GOAT!
😮 These people and drivers have to be crazy and love every minute of building and seeing their machines fly for 10 seconds and less if it doesn't have a failure but crazy after a Just a Hit off the Line those things are going fast enough already to shut off and still coast to a 9 or better with the engine off is crazy power
At Joliet, most every attraction is on the right side of the track. Its extra money to sit there of course but if you want to be close to the pits, concessions and souvenirs you've got to.
General Admission did not sell enough tickets to warrant opening up the north grandstands (except for the very end). Paid admission though (the south stands) were pretty full all weekend. Route 66 raceway was built in the 90s during the hay day of Motorsports when attendance was at its highest (across all factions). It’s simply too big for modern day attendance (it is one of the higher NHRA capacity venues to be fair).
Good to see that Manny, Moe, and Jack are still represented. For some reason they failed here in Portland. Used to have everything from phony whitewalls to fuzzy dice back in the day in LA. Not sure how many guys went there to have a floor shifter put in and dump the "3 on the tree".
@@RacersUnited that's not the point, pushing nitro cars is lame!!; if someone pushed AL Hoffmann car he would have been like, WTF are you doing!!! When I crewed for Whit Bazemore we never pushed the car 😀😀😀😀🥁
As a Dutch, livin' near the German border, I wish I could say that. Once a year I'm visiting dragracing @ Hockenheim, Germany 'Nitrolympx'. With a 285 mile trip, the nearest dragstrip for me and only some top fuels. Therefore I envy you Yanks for havin' a dragstrip in every corner of every state of the US of A.

Your seeing the general admission side. The other side, the reserved side was 90-95% full. We went Saturday, it was incredible!
The other side is blocked off because that's where the monitor was at in a couple semis that's why nobody's in that section
