I also have always considered I am not of this world and certainly try not to be. My world, country and allegiance are all focused on God and the hope to be a part of His Kingdom.
"We must try to be like Jesus". Good luck with that. It's impossible for the carnal man to be like Jesus. Isn't this the whole reason we needed God to come? Men need to undergo the new birth by the holy spirit. Only then can we hope to be like Him.
Jesus Christ, aka, God, put on human flesh and grew up as one of us. Of course He would need to experience growing in wisdom as any child would. At the river Jordan we read how John saw the holy spirit come down on Jesus in the form of a dove. Could it not be that this was the time that Jesus was restored His full power so that He could begin His ministry? He came to save souls. Only God can save. He forgave sins. Only God can forgive sins. He raised people from the dead. Only God can raise the dead. He raised Himself from the dead proving beyond any doubt that He is God. Plus the scriptures say: "For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6 In other words,,,, Jesus Christ was God in the days of His flesh.
Where in the scriptures does Peter say that Jesus was in fact "that prophet" promised by Moses?
