Great win and we sweep the series
Alright, that's it from Mexico! Again, 4 of those runs from the Astros came in the 8th, so it's not as bad as it looks. Although, we do need to fix the problem of allowing runs late, that is if we've got a chance in these games. Eyes were bad today, just kept swinging at breaking balls down low. The streak, and you know which streak, isn't something we need to look at. We just need to focus on improving and winning at what we do each day. We obviously get a day off after this. It needs to be a day off where we're serious and looking ahead to, well, next month really. I can't believe it's the end of April! Starting in Chicago, and then the Home Opener against Tampa Bay; overall, it's been a wild full month of baseball. The pitching rotation will probably look to stay the same here; although, Freeland might be coming off of the IL soon. Speaking of the IL, we'll see if KB is back in the lineup as well. Bouchard and Goodman have been doing pretty good, though. At 7-21, you've gotta hope it's only up from here, right? I'm sure everyone will be really excited for this Miami series coming up (only for the memes, I'm sure)! It will have to get better eventually, but for now we do the best we can. iMuchas Gracias, Ciudad de México! Go Rockies💜🖤

@@ItsWhatever2517 Yes, they are. It's funny, because the 2004 Astros were eerily similar to the Cleveland team in Major League, and then the 2005 Astros were also similar to the Cleveland team in Major League II.
The Cleveland team in Major League was 60-61 at one point in the season, but finished 92-70 and made the playoffs. 2004 Astros--exact same thing.
Then the 2005 Astros team started off very badly, just like the Cleveland team in Major League II. The Cleveland team went on to win the pennant in that film, and the 2005 Astros also went on to win the pennant.
So, yes, this year's Astros team is also giving off Major League II vibes. I hope that pattern continues.

Season over. You're not making the post season this year. But Astros fans should be grateful that the team has gone to 6 consecutive ALCS title series. They're due to have a bad season or two. But if sports is around in two years then they can be back on top then.
Too early to say. 2001 Oakland A’s started at 8-17, ended up winning 102 games at the end of the year. 2006 Minnesota Twins started at 9-16, ended up winning 96 games. Astros in their first 25 games were 7-18 this year, their only issue is their bullpen pitching. However, with Verlander and Valdez coming back and other pitchers returning from injuries, they should be able to bounce back and win. I personally think they can still win 95+ games and the AL West title by the end of the year, but that last part will be very determinate of how May and early June goes. If they get back to .500 by June 10th, they have nothing to worry about.

Will please Jose Altuve to quit his baserunning incompetence; in other words, don't try to steal bases. That throw to third beat you, Jose, and if it had been a good throw, you'd have been out.
It's not base running incompetence. It's called aggressive base running. Even the best base stealers got caught every once in a while. Rickey Henderson, the all-time leader in steals was caught stealing 335 times. Jose Altuve has been caught stealing 83 times in his career to date. Altuve will be fine on the basepaths

the most crazy thing about the astros is that ronel blanco is our ace. Not framber not verlander, no its ronel blanco. Thats how you know that the astros are not making the postseason.
No one can know that in April. I think the CBS Sports projections (FWIW) still have the Astros making the playoffs. Really too early to tell at this point, and I expect more faith from a fellow Astros fan.
