In the Book of Hebrews Chapter 10, in context, the author was talking to “baptized” Christians (Hebrews 10:22) telling them to not be “neglecting to meet together” in “the Church” - being the ONE HOLY CATHOLIC AND APOSTOLIC CHURCH. Why “the Church”???
***Hebrews **10:26**-29 “For IF WE SIN DELIBERATELY after receiving knowledge of the truth, THERE NO LONGER REMAINS A SACRIFICE FOR SINS, BUT A FEARFUL PROSPECT OF JUDGMENT, AND A FURY OF FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES………..HOW MUCH MORE PUNISHMENT DO YOU THINK WILL BE DESERVED BY THE MAN WHO HAS SPURNED THE SON OF GOD, AND PROFANED THE BLOOD OF THE COVENANT BY WHICH HE HAS SANCTIFIED, AND OUTRAGED THE SPIRIT OF GRACE”.***
What does Sacred Scriptures clearly say “IF WE SIN DELIBERATELY” or willfully break any of the commandments whether the old (10 Commandments) or NEW (Laws of LOVE or refusing to LOVE as Christ commands per John 13:34)??? If “THERE NO LONGER REMAINS A SACRIFICE FOR SINS, BUT A FEARFUL PROSPECT OF JUDGMENT”, then how does one obtain reconciliation with GOD again???
We must examine the old covenant to fully understand the NEW COVENANT. In Leviticus 5:5-6 and Numbers 5:5-9 we understand what an old covenant Jew had to do to receive GOD's forgiveness. Additionally, GOD in the Books of Leviticus and Numbers any time personal “sin” is even mentioned you will read over and over again “THUS THE PRIEST SHALL MAKE ATONEMENT FOR A MAN’S SINS AND IT WILL BE FORGIVEN” (Lev 4:20, 4:26, 4:31,4:35, 5:6, 5:10, 5:13, 5:16, 5:18, 6:7, 7:7, 12:8, 14:18, 14:19, 14:20, 14:29, 14:31, 15:15, 15:30, 16:32, 16:33, 19:22 Num. 6:11,15:25, and 15:28). In the old covenant, GOD clearly uses ordained “men”, the Leviticus Priesthood, to administer His forgiveness.
Now, does GOD keep His WORD and covenant promises??? GOD promises to have a perpetual priesthood per His covenant in Numbers 25:12-13 and Malachi 2:4-7 and has WORDS of “forever” in Exodus 29:7-9, 40:15, and 1 Chronicles 23:13. Then, GOD promises to have a perpetual priesthood in Jeremiah 33:14-22 NEW COVENANT PROPHECY. And, in context of “gathering the nations” in Isaiah 66:18 GOD states in Isaiah 66:21 “some of them also I will take for priests”, meaning no longer based on Levi tribal lineage in the NEW COVENANT. In John Chapter 13, we see Jesus Christ fulfilling His Father’s Levi Covenant promise and Malachi 3:3 prophecy, when He sits down in the upper room “purifying” the NEW COVENANT PRIESTHOOD with a “washing”. This “washing” was a “forever” priestly liturgical GOD command in Exodus 30:21- in order to perform any altar work or sacrifice.
What “same” power does the Son of GOD give to His ONE and ONLY established Church or “the Church” per Matthew 16:19, 18:18 and specifically explained to the NEW COVENANT PRIESTHOOD by Jesus in John 20:21-23???
In 2 Corinthians 5:18-20 St. Paul describes what Jesus Christ did was He “GAVE US THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION” and concluded “SO WE ARE AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST”. An “ambassador” wields what kind of power as an “official representative” of Christ or more specifically explained in “the Church” as “persona Christi”???
Please come or return to your real home and be “reconciled” to “the Church” HIS ONE BODY (Ephesians 4:4-6). What did Jesus Christ create, pray for in John 17:21-23 and die for??? If you really LOVE Jesus Christ, then you will respond to His prayer and join the “ONENESS” that He created. The “Lamb of GOD” wants to unite with you in the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER (Luke 22:19) in His ONE and ONLY established Church, so we all can be “perfectly ONE”. May GOD richly bless you on your journey.

WHAT DOES “FAITH” REALLY MEAN???
To properly interpret Sacred Scripture you have to understand the verse IN CONTEXT of what the author was intending to convey during his particular time period and culture not ours, the verse within the chapter, the chapter within the book, and the book within the Bible as a whole. Are you aware St. Paul as ”a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth” 1 Timothy 2:7 was constantly writing to defend Gentiles from Mosaic Ceremonial “Works of the Law” (circumcision). Are you aware St. Paul in Romans and Galatians was arguing for the Gentiles to be accepted strictly on "faith" in Jesus Christ through using Abraham as an example who was “justified” and made “righteous” on “faith” yet still uncircumcised???
St. Paul was emphasizing in Romans only "ONE SIDE" of a two sided coin (One side FAITH and the other side WORKS). St. Paul used the "faith" side to argue for the Gentiles to be accepted and grafted in. The other side of the coin "WORKS" was written about in the Book of James (Book of James was written for people like you who were misinterpreting St. Paul in Romans). James 2:24 "You see a man is justified by works, and NOT BY FAITH ALONE". AGAIN, THE BIBLE, THE WORD OF GOD SAYS "NOT BY FAITH ALONE". "Faith and Works" which Jesus Christ clearly taught and the Catholic Church continues to teach in obedience.
For example, you all seem to miss Paul's introduction in Romans 2:6-7 "FOR HE WILL RENDER TO EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS WORKS: TO THOSE WHO BY PATIENCE IN WELL-DOING SEEK FOR GLORY AND HONOR AND IMMORTAILY, HE WILL GIVE ETERNAL LIFE".
Now, wait a minute you just said all I have to do is "believe"???
Luke 6:37-38 and Matthew 7:1-2 "Judge NOT, that you be not judged. For with the Judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get". So now, I cannot judge harshly otherwise I will be judged harshly by GOD.
Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord’, shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven, BUT HE WHO DOES THE WILL OF MY FATHER IN HEAVEN”. Now, I have to do the Father’s will to even enter the “Kingdom of Heaven”???
Matthew 10:33 “But WHOEVER DENIES ME BEFORE MEN, I WILL ALSO DENY BEFORE MY FATHER who is in heaven”. Now, I have to never deny Jesus before men or risk rejection myself???
Mark 16:16 “He who believes AND IS BAPTIZED will be saved. See 1 Peter 3:21 also. Now, I have to be baptized to be saved???
John 13:34 “A NEW COMMANDMENTS I GIVE TO YOU, THAT YOU LOVE ONE ANOTHER; EVEN AS I HAVE LOVED YOU, THAT YOU ALSO LOVE ONE ANOTHER. THIS IS ALL SHALL KNOW THAT YOU ARE MY DISCIPLES, IF YOU HAVE LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER”. Now, no love then I am not a disciple??? How did Jesus love us and now He commands us to do the same??? Did Jesus say I love you “one time” and do nothing else??? Nope, Jesus Christ showed us what LOVE IS by being selfless sacrificial, and emptying Himself out on the cross for us!!!
Luke 8:21 “My mother and MY BRETHREN ARE THOSE WHO HEAR THE WORD OF GOD AND DO IT”. Wait a minute, now I have to “DO” what I am told in the WORD of GOD to be considered a “part” of GOD’s family???
1 John 3:18-19 “Children, let us love not in word and speech, BUT IN DEED AND IN TRUTH. BY THIS WE SHALL KNOW ARE WE OF THE TRUTH”. What does this clearly say about a one-time verbal profession of faith???
Matthew 7:19 "EVERY TREE THAT DOES NOT BEAR GOOD FRUIT IS CUT DOWN AND THROWN INTO THE FIRE" Now, I have to bear good fruit otherwise I risk damnation???
John 15:8 “By this my Father is glorified, that YOU BEAR MUCH FRUIT, AND SO PROVE TO BE MY DISCIPLES”. Once again, I have to “bear fruit” and now “prove to be” Jesus Christ’s disciple.
Colossians 1:10 “LEAD A LIFE WORTHY OF THE LORD, FULLY PLEASING TO HIM, BEARING FRUIT IN EVERY GOOD WORK and increasing knowledge of GOD” There’s that “FRUIT” thing again that one must “do” to be “FULLY PLEASING” to GOD.
Revelation 2:4-5 “But I have this against you, that you have ABANDONED THE LOVE YOU HAD AT FIRST. Remember then from what you have fallen, REPENT AND DO THE WORKS YOU DID AT FIRST. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place”. Now, we have to through our repentance “DO WORKS” otherwise a “remove your lampstand” consequence will befall us??? Does that sound like we will still be saved without “WORKS”???
John 5:29 “THOSE WHO HAVE DONE GOOD, TO THE RESURRECTION OF LIFE, AND THOSE WHO HAVE DONE EVIL, TO THE RESURRECTION OF JUDGMENT”. Now, I have to do “GOOD” and avoid “EVIL” or sin to avoid “JUDGMENT”???
John 3:5”TRULY, TRULY I SAY TO YOU, UNLESS ONE IS BORN OF WATER AND THE SPIRIT, HE CANNOT ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD". Now, I have to be REBORN of "Water (Baptism) and SPIRIT (Laying of Hands)" to even enter the ONE “Kingdom of GOD”???
John 6:54 "HE WHO EATS MY FLESH AND DRINKS MY BLOOD HAS ETERNAL LIFE". Now, I have to eat the “Lamb of GOD” (John 1:29, 1 Corinthians 5:7, 1 Peter 1:19) to be saved???
1 Corinthians 11:27-29 “Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the LORD in an UNWORTHY MANNER will be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the LORD. Let a man examine himself, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks WITHOUT DISCERNING THE BODY EATS AND DRINKS JUDGMENT UPON HIMSELF”. Now, I have to be “worthy” to partake of the “Lamb of GOD” otherwise I risk JUDGMENT???
James 1:22, 25 “BE DOERS OF THE WORD, AND NOT HEARERS ONLY, DECEIVING YOURSELVES”…”BUT HE WHO LOOKS IN THE PERFECT LAW (referring to John 13:34), THE LAW OF LIBERTY, AND PERSEVERES, BEING NO HEARER THAT FORGETS BUT A DOER THAT ACTS, HE SHALL BE BLESSED IN HIS DOING”. James who was one of the three most beloved disciples in Jesus’s “inner circle” what does he clearly teach here???
Romans 15:18 “For I will not dare to speak of anything except what Jesus Christ has accomplished through me TO LEAD THE GENTILES TO OBEDIENCE BY WORD AND DEED”. St. Paul now emphasizing I need to be OBEDIENT BY WORD AND DEED???
Philippians 2:12 "Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, WORK OUT YOUR OWN SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING". Wait a minute, I thought you said St. Paul said all I need to do is "believe" and I am saved??? The Bible and St. Paul here is telling me I have to continue in "Good Works" to "WORK OUT YOUR SALVATION"???
Acts 26:20 “Declared…..that they should repent and turn to GOD and PERFORM DEEDS WORTHY OF THEIR REPENTANCE”
2 Thessalonians 1:8 “INFLICTING VENGENCE upon those who do not know GOD and those WHO DO NOT OBEY THE GOSPEL OF OUR LORD JESUS”. Now, I have to OBEY THE GOSPEL OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST”???
2 Corinthians 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, SO THAT EACH MAY RECEIVE GOOD OR EVIL, ACCORDING TO WHAT HE HAS DONE IN THE BODY”. So, now I HAVE TO DO GOOD???
John 14:12 “He who believes in me WILL ALSO DO THE WORKS THAT I DO”. What “works” did Jesus Christ clearly do in Sacred Scriptures???

John 8:51 “Truly, Truly, I say to you, IF ANY ONE KEEPS MY WORD, he will never see death”
Hebrews 5:9 “He became the source of eternal salvation TO ALL WHO OBEY HIM”.
Acts 5:32 “And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit WHOM GOD HAS GIVEN TO THOSE WHO OBEY HIM”
I could go on and on, but I think you get the point. "Believe" is a loaded word full of expectations for the sons and daughters of GOD. "BELIEVE" really means to "OBEY". Faith is only the first step towards Heaven, and LOVE is the second step which is an ACTION out of OBEDIENCE. FAITH AND WORKS just as the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church teaches. Zew

"Real Presence" or Holy Eucharist Defense
1. "Pascal lamb"
In Exodus 12:3-14 GOD "forever" liturgically commands the PASSOVER, as a means of proper worship, which REQUIRED the "lamb" to be consumed for "Death to Passover". Jesus, the "Lamb of GOD" (John 1:29, 1 Corinthians 5:7, 1 Peter 1:19) transformed this "forever" GOD commanded PASSOVER Feast during the "Last Supper" in every synoptic Gospel account into the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER (Luke 22:19). Further, in CONTEXT of the PASSOVER (John 6:4) Jesus Christ's "Bread of LIFE" discourse REQUIRES us to "abide" in the "Lamb of GOD'S" BODY and BLOOD for "Death to Passover" (John 6:54-58). ***Protestants, Jesus states the consequences of not partaking of Him in John **6:53**.***
In John 6:60, everyone was disbelieving Jesus's "hard" teaching (John 6:54-58) about the Holy Eucharist. So, if you were Jesus how would you respond to people disbelieving you??? Wouldn't you want to provide some "proof" or "evidence" you mean what you say??? How does Jesus Christ respond to His disbelievers in John 6:60 and what "proof" will He provide per John 6:62???
2. "Heavenly Manna"
GOD provided "Spiritual Food and Drink" (1 Corinthians 10:1-4) to His old covenant people, so wouldn't Jesus Christ provide something for His NEW COVENANT chosen people???
Jesus Christ compares Himself to the old covenant "Heavenly Manna" in John 6:31-35. Jesus teaches the "Heavenly Manna" that came down "daily" will now actually be Him (John 6:51-58).
In the "Our Father" prayer Jesus Christ is stating "give us THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD" referring to Himself as the "BREAD OF LIFE" (John 6:35, 48, 51).
Acts 2:46. The Catholic Church has been "breaking bread (of LIFE) daily" of the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER (Luke 22:19) before the Book of Acts was even written in the mid 60's AD, all along since Jesus Christ's death in 33AD, and to this very day fulfilling Malachi 1:11 prophecy all across the world "daily"!!!
3. "HOW HE WAS MADE KNOWN TO THEM in the Breaking Bread" (Luke 24:35)
In the Luke 24:13-35 "Road to Emmaus" scriptures there clearly is a "structure" being referrenced - being the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER or Catholic Mass.
In Luke 24:27 there is an opening and interpreting of the Sacred Scriptures (Readings and Homily). Then, an explanation of how Jesus Christ fulfilled all the old covenant prophecies and covenant promises. Then, we have the "participation in" (1 Corinthians 10:16-17) of the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER "breaking of bread" where the "Lamb of GOD" Jesus Christ becomes "KNOWN" to us.
Protestants what does Jesus Christ say to you refusing to "break bread" with Him in His ONE and ONLY "Kingdom of GOD" here on earth being the ONE HOLY CATHOLIC AND APOSTOLIC CHURCH per Luke 7:21-23??? Still saved???
4. "Bread of the PRESENCE"
Along with the Passover, GOD "forever" liturgically commands the "Bread of the PRESENCE" to be part of His proper worship in Leviticus 24:5-9.
In the old Jewish Temple, the old "Heaven and Earth" of worship, a veil seperated two main worship rooms. In the outer room housed the "Bread of the PRESENCE" and it was separated by the veil from the inner room called the HOLY of HOLIES that no one but the High Priest could go. This HOLY of HOLIES is where Jews believed God's "real presence" remained. So, when Jesus Christ died the veil was "torn" (Matthew 27:51, Mark 15:38, Luke 23:45) that separated the HOLY of HOLIES and the "Bread of the PRESENCE" in the outer room, so there was no longer any barrier (liturgically speaking) between GOD'S presence and the "Bread of the PRESENCE" (Matthew 28:20).
So, if the veil was "torn" allowing GOD'S presence in the Holy of Holies to flow to the "BREAD of the PRESENCE" in the outer room of worship, then what does the Holy Eucharist "Bread of the PRESENCE" truly become in the fulfilled NEW COVENANT FORM???
5. "ONE BREAD ONE BODY"
1 Corinthians 10:16-17. If the "many" become "ONE BODY" through "participation in" the ONE SACRIFICE of the "Lamb of GOD" Jesus Christ in the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER, then how can the Holy Eucharist possibly be a mere symbol???

Catholics receive His "divinity" in the Holy Eucharist obtaining our "likeness" back if we partake "worthily" (1 Corinthians 11:27-29) and thereby we truly become "divine" Sons and Daughters of GOD. We "unite" with the "Son" Jesus Christ the NEW ADAM (Romans 5:12-21). As a result, we become a part of GOD'S NEW CREATION (2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15, Ephesians 1:10, Colossians 1:15-17, 20) here on earth.
The "TREE OF LIFE" hangs above every Catholic Church altar.
8. "Thanksgiving" or Jewish Todah
In this Jewish Messianic prophecy feast the "lamb" sacrifice had to occur at the same time the "bread and wine" was consecrated. I am a member of a large church, we are given the opportunity to join small groups and serve in ministries which connect us to many people, our bible studies are broken into small groups some months, we meet more people. We have ministers and leaders that are over the ministries that we join so there’s no need to speak with the main pastor; however those that find a need to speak with the main pastor are welcome to set up appointment to speak with him. We must examine the old covenant to fully understand the NEW COVENANT. In Leviticus 5:5-6 and Numbers 5:5-9 we understand what an old covenant Jew had to do to receive GOD's forgiveness. Additionally, GOD in the Books of Leviticus and Numbers any time personal “sin” is even mentioned you will read over and over again “THUS THE PRIEST SHALL MAKE ATONEMENT FOR A MAN’S SINS AND IT WILL BE FORGIVEN” (Lev 4:20, 4:26, 4:31,4:35, 5:6, 5:10, 5:13, 5:16, 5:18, 6:7, 7:7, 12:8, 14:18, 14:19, 14:20, 14:29, 14:31, 15:15, 15:30, 16:32, 16:33, 19:22 Num. 6:11,15:25, and 15:28). In the old covenant, GOD clearly uses ordained “men”, the Leviticus Priesthood, to administer His forgiveness.
Now, does GOD keep His WORD and covenant promises??? GOD promises to have a perpetual priesthood per His covenant in Numbers 25:12-13 and Malachi 2:4-7 and has WORDS of “forever” in Exodus 29:7-9, 40:15, and 1 Chronicles 23:13. Then, GOD promises to have a perpetual priesthood in Jeremiah 33:14-22 NEW COVENANT PROPHECY. And, in context of “gathering the nations” in Isaiah 66:18 GOD states in Isaiah 66:21 “some of them also I will take for priests”, meaning no longer based on Levi tribal lineage in the NEW COVENANT. In John Chapter 13, we see Jesus Christ fulfilling His Father’s Levi Covenant promise and Malachi 3:3 prophecy, when He sits down in the upper room “purifying” the NEW COVENANT PRIESTHOOD with a “washing”. This “washing” was a “forever” priestly liturgical GOD command in Exodus 30:21- in order to perform any altar work or sacrifice.
What “same” power does the Son of GOD give to His ONE and ONLY established Church or “the Church” per Matthew 16:19, 18:18 and specifically explained to the NEW COVENANT PRIESTHOOD by Jesus in John 20:21-23???
In 2 Corinthians 5:18-20 St. Paul describes what Jesus Christ did was He “GAVE US THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION” and concluded “SO WE ARE AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST”. An “ambassador” wields what kind of power as an “official representative” of Christ or more specifically explained in “the Church” as “persona Christi”???

In John 3:5 Jesus stated “Truly, Truly, I say to you, UNLESS ONE IS BORN OF WATER (baptism) AND SPIRIT (Laying of Hands), HE CANNOT ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD”.
Jesus was fulfilling Ezekiel 36:25-27 New Covenant prophecy with this requirement. We see this same pattern of “water (Baptism) and Spirit (Laying of Hands)” in Acts 2:38, and specifically explained in Acts 8:14-17 and Acts 19:5-6 to enter the Early Church or ONE “Kingdom of GOD”.
Notice very specifically, in Acts 8:14-17 after the “water” Baptism the new coverts DID NOT receive the Holy Spirit, but ONLY AFTER a very specific person and liturgical act was performed in verse 17. These same two Apostles who were given the “power” of Holy Spirit by the risen Jesus Christ Himself in John 20:21-23.
We see Apostolic Succession in Acts 1:20-26 and Acts 6:6 when assistants were needed in the Early Church as it was growing rapidly. This “Laying of Hands” was a liturgical way of passing on “authority” and “power” that you see originated with Moses in Numbers 27:18-23 when he needed a “successor”.
***In Acts ****9:17****, we see St. Paul actually received the power of the Holy Spirit from Ananias through the “laying of hands” in order for him to pass on the “Holy Spirit” to new converts in Acts 19:5-6. In the Catholic Church, we have Apostolic Succession going all the way back to when Jesus Christ first gave the Apostles the “Holy Spirit” in John ****20:21****-23.****

I almost never go to church now. I just pray at home and find my own relationship with God.
Forget these places!
I understand your frustration with the church.... and by all means continue to pray and work your relationship with the Lord....but if you are a believer the Bible said Dont forsake the assembly meaning the church house.... You go to service for you and your own growth.... you cant grow if you dont know.... you need a place whereby teaching, preaching, and ministries are set in place to help you. I know that some men have made it bad for people seeking to attend services but ask God to lead you where you need to be. When it comes to those who do wrong by the church.... trust that God will deal with them accordingly...... I hope you can find a place soon. I also hope that you will grow deeper with your relationship with the Lord.... be blessed...

I just think it's wild how huge they get. There is a HUGE church about 20 minutes from my house. It's weekly attendence is ~4.5k. These churches I listed dwarf that. It's hard to imagine how these operations are so gigantic.

Now how about starting a meg-Church with a small door and a large one. The little door service would present the simple Gospel, "believe and be saved" the big door service would be everything else. Like a Dr. OZ - how to live life to it's fullness, and never recognize that spending millions on foreign mission trips, and any and all things to keep one's checklist for "works done", so full that even james would have no objection. while the narrow door parishioners are taught that their vocations and saying a kind word IS THEIR GOOD WORKS, a theme of Martin Luther's where because of "common grace" the Christian wit a coffee shop does more good than "high falutin" scholastics . Here is one HUGE blindness by the big door mega Churches- Do they not know , when the nepotism has destroyed the congregation, the "big House" will sit there naked and empty- and when the next "Dr Oz preacher builds his stadium, instead of buying the one in foreclosure, the Pastor's vision will be that "God told me to stay away from that bldg, because there was false teaching there" only to raise millions and to rinse and repeat the same cycle of good works! NOT! Jesus asks "When I return, will there be faith on the earth"? I think we are witnessing that answer.. Short of a "simple Gospel explosion".

Here in our city there is a big church and I believe it has sound doctrine but far from as big as these ones he is talking about. Depends what they do with the money they get. Been in Houston my whole life (26 years) and I too have had my speculations about Lakewood and Second Baptist. I always wondered do they even open the Bible? Until I went this past year, to both churches for the first time, and it’s crazy how you just have to see for yourself. I don’t care what nobody says, you can definitely feel the Holy Spirit in those places. They do open the Bible, it isn’t JUST prosperity preaching. In fact, the times I went, the head pastor didn’t even preach, it was an associate pastor or preacher, and when I say I received a WORD! They not only taught the gospel but the convictions as well. So I say all that to say, go see for yourself. It’s literally a taste of heaven, all ages, all ethnicities, all backgrounds, just all Gods children in general. I love it.

A majority of churches donate a percentage of profits each week to select charities. Not to mention all the work done through missionary organisations and soup kitchens, etc. But I agree, they could do more if they wanted to.

I'm not taking sides here, but many of these churches have large international mission boards where they do donate tons of money to international missionaries. And yeah... A lot of churches are just for profit (as a Christian, I really hate this fact) but most good churches give but are quiet about it.
