*GLORIOUS 80s!!!* Indeed, the FIRST decade that enjoyed the widespread start of consumer tech. BUT was still early enough that most things people needed to do, work for, sweat for and enjoy --- were still very "analog" and simple. *Like for example using the rotary phone and calling your crush (and hope no one eavesdrops on the shared line) then strategically sending hand-written perfume-infused love letters via snail mail and hoping the postman (or a suspicious father) won't intercept and open it before your crush could.*
I love how when you are watching an old 80s film and hear some of these beats in the film, it is like you are transported. Takes us back to a different time. Thanks ;)
Sometimes I feel like I'm an old man, always wanting to live with the most simple and somewhat "old" things. I'm always looking for old songs, old stories, old shops,... life is normal and somewhat slow. Likes to read things that take time to understand.
I love the soundtrack in this video. It flawlessly matches the visuals, creating an immersive atmosphere that draws you in. The music selection is superb, adding layers of depth and emotion to each scene. The tracks are perfectly chosen to complement the imagery, making the story even more compelling. This thoughtful curation of music elevates the entire video, making it an unforgettable viewing experience.
Track 9: Yokohama sunset For some reason it reminds me of all the times I rode the train back from work in Yokohama back to my house in Tokyo. and I would see the sun go down over Tamagawa river. I really love that one, gives me a nostalgic feeling.
Love track 11 and 22 :) But the whole is fantastic. 22 Evokes the feeling of the movie's end and the departure into the setting sun so this title could be interesting: A Voyage into Dusk
You really nailed the nostalgic feel with these tracks. Does it give me the urge to dive headfirst off a bridge sometimes? Yes, but that just shows how good of a job you did making this.
The captivating nature of this sound is truly eternal, a constant auditory haven that maintains an everlasting charm. Its soothing and timeless melody possesses an allure that never fades; I find myself drawn to it time and time again. Listening to this feels like discovering a treasure that never loses its value, a melody I could happily immerse myself in endlessly.
Track 5 reminded me of moment, when things getting hard and life serves you a reality check. But then slightly better and better and you will have new hope and a shine in your mind again ✨️. The fact you've got a way of repantance and forgiveness.🥲😉 Why not call it "Psalm 25" Thanks 4 the Mix!! Call
This sound is eternally captivating, an auditory haven that never loses its charm. It's a soothing and timeless melody that I could listen to endlessly.
What a fantastic job, indeed! Your enthusiasm is infectious, and it's clear that you're thoroughly enjoying this masterpiece. Music has a magical way of bringing joy and positivity into our lives, and it's wonderful to see you revel in it. Keep on enjoying the fantastic vibes! 🎶🌟👏
This is one of my favorite playlists and the first track especially is one of my favorite synth tracks I've ever heard. I'm crossing my fingers you get your music onto Apple Music or Spotify so that I could listen to it easier, but I love it enough to keep a youtube tab open so I can keep listening
I've been looking for a new Synthwave/Retrowave channel because they ALL seem to default to calling their mixes "Synthwave" and/or "Retrowave" when MOST of the music ends up just being CHILLWAVE. I don't mind Chillwave but... It tends to subdue the energetic spirit of the 80s music I remember and love. It ends up boring me after a bit. It doesn't ALL have to be "CHILLWAVE". This mix does a decent job of avoiding falling into that pit trap. If this channel can manage to strike a good balance then I'll give a subscribe for sure!
I sorta accidently stumbled upon this channel last week. I listen to another channel called Chill Hop of which i like but i got a little bored of it after a few years. This channel is a upgrade for what i was looking for.. a bit more tempo, still a chill vibe but motivating. Its my new work jam when im working on things at home or doing class. Pretty cool.
Track 3 "Cassette Flip" Reminds me of late nights cruising, wearing out the latest mix tape. I wish you had a place where I could buy your music, I love this stuff.
The compilation of your work sounds great!! Any chance for the first track ("Tears in the Rain") to be a separate track from the rest, please? I am arranging a playlist for my long hikes and this track would be perfect for my playlist. I love those up beat, relaxing and at the same time semi-fast tracks (brilliant for walking). Keep up the great work, thumbs up!!!!
Hello! I want to start by saying how impressed I am with the amazing content you share on this channel. The effort and passion you put into each video is evident, and it really shows in the quality of your work. I really admire the way you approach topics and how you manage to keep viewers engaged. :)
I LOVE this sound and all that you do on this channel. I have tinnitus and this helps to drown it out while I study. However, as is natural and expected with electronic music, there is a constant high frequency which gets painful after a while, and I have to switch this out. 😞

I swear, I could listen to this sound forever and never get bored. It's like a warm hug for my ears, you know? Just pure bliss. 😌🎵

Feels like blockbuster movie night back in the day.

I guess life was just slower back then! Less distractions allowed you to enjoy the small moments?
I feel exactly the same...born in 1979...
I never get tired of this sound.....

How beautiful! Thank you, Galactic Drive. From a Moroccan living in England.
Thanks Yasyas🫶 How's life in England?
I knew this was going to be fire 10 seconds in! I was right.
Thanks David!😊
This awesome music sounds like the soundtrack to some dramatic car chase or some other scene in an 80’s movie! I was so fortunate to be an 80’s kid!
🏎️🏎️
Thanks😊🙏🏼
Lost in the melody, where time stands still. 🎶✨
Love track 11 and 22 :) But the whole is fantastic.
