The Xpipe actually takes decibels away!! It sounds more docile with the Xpipe vs hpipe but the scavenging is a bit better with the Xpipe. If you really want to change the tone then swap out mufflers. I put in a Xpipe system in my 92 from a C7 with secondary cats as primaries on the 92. The system was super cheap and sounds absolutely incredible!! The guy I got it from changed his whole system on a C7 grand sport and sold me the factory stuff for a crazy deal! I'm into my whole exhaust system from headers to tips for less than $700!!! The factory system on C7s are sick from the factory!! I have no idea why dude wasted a bunch of money for an exhaust system that wasn't much better than the factory system!!
Nice, but needs mufflers or none at all. I think the stock titanium’s sound garbage even with headers (I don’t have them) so with stock manifolds no mufflers or corsas sound great, nice having both I can switch between the two in an hour.
@@timothyhodge14 that’s a great deal! Still an amazing muffler, definitely leagues better over stock. I’m just discontent with the loudness so I still have the borla straight pipes on until the drone drives me crazy enough to throw the sports back on.
I would suggest anyone swapping out parts because of the sound , to keep the old parts, because you might grow out of this phase. Just like only kids put cards into bicycle spoke to make noise., and adults don't. The original H pipe part had only a small hole, about the size of an american quarter, only to transfer an energy pulse, not sound, to aid exhaust scavenging. Not everyone wants to pull up to a nice place and sound like they are pretending to be Ricky racer.
@@timothyhodge14 True enough. I am preparing to install a complete PYPES system in my 1979 C3 Coupe. It includes a well-made x-pipe, and two of their Street Pro mufflers.
Sounds smooth ✨
thanks for the video, just did mine last night. you were a great help
This is relatable for me because I'm completely stock as well and I'm looking to add a little bit of noise

That’s cool man 🔥
Fuego!!! 🔥
Thanks man. Was looking for this lol
My pleasure
Yeah living in CA and being a law abiding citizen car guy sucks I feel your pain 😂
Time for equal length long tubes lol. Still waiting on mine to come in!
Classic iron truck man
Nice
300!! Subs🎉
Ever try X and H together?
It's the midpipe section. Choose one or the other
SLP Loudmouth and Texas Speed set up is what I'm going with. Gonna be loud but very beefy. I've got a Billy Boat PRT I'd sell ya;)
I went with a Corsa Xtreme, video coming soon.
imo stock sounds better but it's your car
so your opinion doesn't matter
stock H pipe sounds better
👍
Are you telling me to break up with my pipe? Lol I want to make sure I ain't missing important things
Yes, split it with that pipe

Picked up some Corsas recently, video coming soon
@@timothyhodge14 awesome! I got my sports used for a little over 800. Wish i waited for some extremes though, might try selling them.
@@peterb4143 I got my sports for $500. Also waiting on Xtremes to come on the market

yeah you’re old we get it
The X pipe makes it slightly quieter and increases exhaust flow, the factory H pipe is hot garbage.
Not worth the effort or $
i don't like cheap, so i would not buy the cheaper one
It's just metal pipes welded together so a more premium one may or may not be better.
