    So I plugged this into my iPhone 11 Pro and it doesn’t work. Isn’t this just plug n play?!

    • @PhotoVideoEDU
      @PhotoVideoEDU  4 года назад

      It is, but be aware some apps have to be started after the mic is connected, like the iPhone video app.
      If you start the app 1st, then plug in the mic the app does not switch to the external mic because there is no preference for mic selection. That is a limitation of the app, unfortunately.

    Hi
    I use smartmic +UC with furry windscreen with Huawei smart phone, it sounds good but its a noise of zzzzzzzzzz is so loud, please advise, thanks

    • @PhotoVideoEDU
      @PhotoVideoEDU  3 года назад +1

      Sometimes that can be caused by the Bluetooth that is on, but not in use. Please disable Bluetooth and see if that fixes the issue.
      If it does not, then please try with your phone in Airplane Mode and see if that fixes the issue.
      I have a feeling that Bluetooth will be the issue, but on some phones the wireless data antenna is not shielded. This causes that issue, it is doubtful but it might be the problem.
      Give it a try and let me know.

    Does it compatible with Samsung note 10 plus?

    • @PhotoVideoEDU
      @PhotoVideoEDU  3 года назад

      Yes, the SmartMic+UC is.
      You might have to turn on USB OTG (On the Go) on in the phone's settings to allow external USB-C audio sources. But that is an easy fix and something you would have to do with any USB-C microphone.

    My SmartMic TRRS won't send sound (receiver hears nothing) with Windows 10 computer or Kindle Fire

    • @PhotoVideoEDU
      @PhotoVideoEDU  3 года назад

      While this is not designed for computers, it could work theoretically, but your computer has to have a TRRS headphone port. If it's not working then I would imagine that your computer does not, but you would have to check the spec.
      For the Kindle Fire, the same is true it has to have a TRRS headphone port. From what I've seen on forums many of them do not, so you're going to have to check the spec.

    Hi I just got this smartmic+ uc for andriod. Tried it in my note10+. The sound captured was squeaky on both phone video recorder as well as on external camera apps. I have also tried switching off my phone wifi, even put it on airplane mode to try it. Also removed the phone cover to ensure the type-c is connected well into the phone. The recorded audio is still so distorted and squeaky. Please help 😢

      Unfortunately, I have experienced many issues like this with the Samsung Note series, but that is not to say the issue is not the microphone. Please contact us at: support@saramonicusa.com and we can discuss it in detail.

      You will need to check the app's settings and choose external mic for the input. Some apps do not allow external microphones, if that is the case there are plenty of free apps that do. Camera MX is an excellent one.

      Hello, are you using the included furry windscreen? That will be a must when outdoors and without it wind can cause this problem to occur.

    • @PhotoVideoEDU
      @PhotoVideoEDU  4 года назад +1

      It depends on which Samsung. The Samsung device must have USB-on-the-Go. www.samsungsfour.com/tutorials/complete-list-of-samsung-galaxy-smartphones-with-otg-support-usb-on-the-go.html
      On some devices you also have to turn it on in the settings.
      Samsung's included a video apps on some devices don't allow USB-C microphones, but third-party video apps like Filmic pro or Camera MX do.

    Can you recommend a microphone/headphone splitter for my Android and Smartmic? I sing on Bandlab & the smartmic seems great but I need to hook up headphones with it to here the tracks while singing. I've tried a couple & none has worked. Thanks in advance.

    • @PhotoVideoEDU
      @PhotoVideoEDU  4 года назад

      That would depend on what SmartMic+ you are using. Unfortunately with the Di & UC, I don't know of a headphone splitter that would work.
      With the SmartMIc+ with TRRS output, it would be a couple of adapters to make it work. But I don't think you'd be happy with the solution, because it takes the mic off the phone.
      The Azden i-Coustics HX-Mi and the Rode SC3 adapters.
      Sorry I cannot come up with a more elegant solution.
      What I would suggest is contacting Bandlab's support and let them know it real-time monitoring through Lightning, USB-C and TRRS are a must-have feature. Otherwise, it limits the apps use with external microphones.
      When customers ask, developers listen.
      Best of luck.

    Hi does it sound better for piano recording? Thanks

    • @PhotoVideoEDU
      @PhotoVideoEDU  3 года назад

      Yes, Because it is directional you were going to get a more focused sound than the internal microphones on the smartphone.
      Proximity is everything when it comes to microphones, so be sure to be within a reasonable distance from the piano 5-10', unless of course you were in a acoustically designed hall or church. Sometimes you can get further back and get a better sound because you're getting the room's tone and acoustics as well.

    saramonic SmartMic+ Di or rode Rode VideoMicro? wich is the best?

    • @PhotoVideoEDU
      @PhotoVideoEDU  3 года назад +1

      The SmartMic+Di and the Rode VideoMicro are two very different mics. The Rode VideoMicro has TRS out and you to purchase a TRRS output cable to work with a smartphone for $15, or the SC6-L for $79 to plug in Lightning. The most similar mic we have to the VideoMicro is the Vmic Mini and that is a better mic in my opinion and the opinion of lots of RUclipsrs. There is the Rode VideoMic Me-L which is Lighting for $79, I haven't heard them side-by-side, but they are both cardioid and from what I've heard the SmartMic+Di is preferred by my sources, but this is just what I've heard.

    With micro usb type c does it support denver act 5050w?

    • @PhotoVideoEDU
      @PhotoVideoEDU  4 года назад

      I could not answer that, you would have to ask Denver if their camera allows USB microphones. Many of these action cameras have proprietary USB inputs, so I would say it might be unlikely.
      Either way you should contact their support and find out for sure.

    Can this microphone be used on laptop with usb c port? have anyone tried it on laptop?

    • @PhotoVideoEDU
      @PhotoVideoEDU  3 года назад

      Yes, it will. But there are 2 issues with it...
      1. It is facing up, 100% perpendicular and not at the laptop user. So that is not optimum positioning.
      2. If your laptop is thin, like my MacBook Pro, you will need to have the laptop on a riser of some kind, or you will bend the USB-C port on the mic and the laptop. That is a big issue.
      We do offer lots of USB-C mics that will work great for your laptop.
      Like the SR-MV2000, LavMicroU3A and SR-HM7UC.

    Mine has a high frequency noise every now and then and white noise. How do u get rid of it? Did u get this issue?

    • @SaramonicUSA
      @SaramonicUSA 4 года назад +1

      I have not had that issue.
      That can be one of a few things.
      It could be heavy WiFi or radio interference that is in the area that is causing the issue. In those cases you just have to get out of that area.
      It could also be you device's WiFI or Bluetooth is causing it. Some devices Can cause this when the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth is searching. You can fix this by going into airplane mode.
      If you try both of these remedies and you're still getting the same problems, Contact support and will get you a new mic.
