That masjid is still here today in 2024 and operating. What a good , ancient feeling to visit and pray in there. I like this masjid. May Allah protect it until the day of judgment

omggggg everyone's participating. ... but the azan is kinda weak (not really like real.azans, which are really pleasing and enchanting to listen to. .but again this 1969 and this is the first mosque, so the person reciting the azan may not actually be the real azan reciter or imaam/moazzen (people who are qualified to recite azan)
and this guy might just be a regular person.
but still just notice how calmly the reporters are presenting and reading news, there's no other audio. so peaceful

Why can't they pray together or are the men weak minded and so easily distracted that they loose concentration.

If we had the women pray infront of the men you would complain that we are perverts for having all the women bend down in front of us and if we had them pray behind us you would complain we think we are better than them yet we stay seperated out of respect and to avoid mixxing prayer is a time for worshipping god alone and not a time for mixxing and mingling with women.

@Theshinybrighttruth How can you lust after something that is dresses in a black sheet from head to toe, resembling a walking ghost, with only eyes peeking out.

Because the men and women pray differently so we don’t pray together so they don’t get mixed up with the different prayers

Julius Maehlich not everyone has good intentions. Salat is pretty strict stuff, means when you start you can’t break it till you end. So if a .. pervert.. has a woman performing salat next to him, he might get close to her more than necessary. Which would be distractive for the woman.

There is nothing holy or true about Eid, al-Adha. Muslims should read Genesis 22:1-16. God never asked Abraham to sacrifice Ishmael but asked that he sacrifice his only son, Isaac. Ishmael is not even regarded by God to be Abraham's son but only as the son of the slave woman (Genesis 21:13).
