Well, we have to understand the kind of toll the early songs of RA take on Tim's voice. I love the early stuff too, but it's important to remember that we already have those. Not only do we have them, but they're the finest examples of that style in existence. I'm not saying I wouldn't love a new Unravelling, but I'm fine with their transition. It's probably for the best they don't go backwards.
I am now totally and completely in love with this man's voice. 0.0 my jaw literally dropped when he started singing. I've NEVER heard his voice like this. Ever. It's absolutely, indescribably gorgeous. This is just.....amazing.
The tuning is standard. Chords are E minor, Gmaj (played with 3rd fret of 2nd string, without high e) C maj, back to Gmaj, C maj, then Dmaj. Hope it helps for all you guitar players! :)
Manmanman...Just came back to this vid after like 2-3 months and it still amazes me! Not a typical Rise song (even for their acoustic songs this one is....different) but still the most beautiful songs they ever made!
Actually guys, its "one never ends". Listen real close. You can hear it. "A fork in the road and one never ends". Makes sense too if you think about it. One of the roads never ends.
Actually, I belive the lyrics are "a fork in a road and one never ends." If you listen closely it sounds like that. You've probably heard that more than once though. :p But thank you for uploading this. I listen to this and play it every night. (:
Besides it is really cool to get to watch the band members grow through their music. We should be thankful that we get to experience their lives and changes with them through it.
first time i´ve heard this song , i´ve cried cause i wuz too happy ...another beatiful song from Rise in the world ! :)... anyway my favorite acoustic song :)
For some reason I first thought of "Swing Life Away" when he started playing this song. It doesn't technically sound like it, but I think the mood/tone of the song is similar. oh yeah, and I LOVE IT!
I thought it was "A fork in a road I know never ends" Jesus Christ I hope they release a studio version of this. And even if they do I'm still keeping this one
Before the black market was released I was on a few people to hear this song, I had my jaw on the desk of the computer I was using at the time because I didn't know he could sing like that
Hey Guys. I heard this video a few weeks ago and I fell in love with it so i decided to cover it. I am so happy with it and i think its one of my best covers so far. Been a rise against fan for 8 years now and Tim is and will always be my idol. I made the cover as a dedication to him and Rise Against. Thank you! Please hit "THUMBS UP" so more people might see this..
I was there too. I thought it was wierd that I was like the only one who knew the lyrics to the song there. Such a good show. Also, I got the other one on video. I will try to upload it soon.
I thought it was "a fork in the road and wonder ends"... like, a loss of innocence because of having to make that decision..... Just seemed to make sense to me =] Don't know of course, but I think it would work! =D This whole song is beautiful!! =')
What I hear is theyre taking a more softer approach to their next record :/ which i'm actually looking very forward to...don't get me wrong I still absolutely LOVE the stuff they do now.
Yeah definitely with you on the "wonder ends"! =) But I'm still quite sure it's "AND wonder ends"... listen back over it a few times, what do you think?? They have the most amazing lyrics! =)
If so, I hope this is just an live version and not the actual version. I want to hear a new song with the whole band! :) But if it's the real version, I'm fine, too :)
he played them's fightin' words. this is something else, i very much doubt this is a tkt song. have you listened to that shit? it's so hardcore, it's awesome.
It's amazing how much a person you've never met could impact your life in such profoundly strong ways.
i couldn't agree more!!!
Tim is god, this song is a message, and the person holding the camera is a prophet with proof.

Tim is a great guy, got to sit and have a good conversation about his music and what he does, up I'm flagstaff 2012 this year.
I am now totally and completely in love with this man's voice. 0.0 my jaw literally dropped when he started singing. I've NEVER heard his voice like this. Ever. It's absolutely, indescribably gorgeous. This is just.....amazing.
"Chuck Ragan, jack of all trades everybody!" how great is that... Tim and Chuck... two geniuses.
just wanted to say i love your profil pic :D
this is the most perfect song ive ever heard

Tim knows how to write Incredible Songs! awesome
Tim McIllrath...
This song is too beautiful, if being too beautiful is possible
his vocals are trimmed with gold

Can't wait to see him playing the Revival Tour this april in Nashville!
I.....I.....I'm speechless
Before the black market was released I was on a few people to hear this song, I had my jaw on the desk of the computer I was using at the time because I didn't know he could sing like that

Rise Against is the best band on earth i love them
I was there too. I thought it was wierd that I was like the only one who knew the lyrics to the song there. Such a good show. Also, I got the other one on video. I will try to upload it soon.
WOW! Mindblowing.
I'd listen to Tim sing the ABC's if he sang it the way he does all his other songs.
Yeah, If I am correct, he met him at Daley Plaza in Chicago at a concert back in May. He said that Rise is busy so he never thought much of it.
this song is awesome... I want it on the next album
this is AWESOME
this is great
i wish so much that this song stays acoustic in studio version as well
One word: amazing.
I was at Rise Against's performance in the day Tim completed 34 years ;D
thank you so much ;D
Dude you have to upload it. I was there but I had to leave before Tim even got to play his set. I'm begging you.
I love this song...all it took was one listen
I can smell a new CD
I wonder when they gonna release this amazing song
More people have been saying its "A Fork in the Road and One Never Ends"
I'm really hoping this is going to be just an acoustic song. I can't see this turning into a full band song... To pure and sweet
Hot damn the revival tour was awesome.
Fucking amazing. Can't wait to hear the studio version!
I could imagine this being a nice way to end an album
Wait for studio version :D
this better be on the new album, its like a second swing life away
2:25. I needed a replay button for the song..
I thought it was "a fork in the road and wonder ends"... like, a loss of innocence because of having to make that decision..... Just seemed to make sense to me =]
Don't know of course, but I think it would work! =D
This whole song is beautiful!! =')
They do now!!
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the song. I just dislike it when people make a big deal about likes/dislikes.
Hope this song will be on their new B-Side album :)
I bet theyre making a new album :P
That was "Strong Reaction" by Pegboy they covered.
It's not "one never ends" but it makes sense tho. Listen to the beginning like 4 times or so.
@OnionBear9 I think the second line is 'and one never ends'. Would fit better with the context. :)
Does anyone have an address or e-mail address to write to Tim? :) I'm not sure the he read all the emails, but everyone can have hope
What I hear is theyre taking a more softer approach to their next record :/ which i'm actually looking very forward to...don't get me wrong I still absolutely LOVE the stuff they do now.
Yeah definitely with you on the "wonder ends"! =)
But I'm still quite sure it's "AND wonder ends"... listen back over it a few times, what do you think??
They have the most amazing lyrics! =)
I thought "Wonderance" too, but It isn't a word, its "A fork in a road and one never ends"
Anyone else noticed that the tab sounds wrong during the bridge? has anyone got another tab for it?
Any1 know what the song is called ? if so please let me know i want to add it to the list of songs im learning
What was the third song he played? Fucking awesome!
someone of you could write what he says in the beggining? i'm not american/english and it's hard to understand :)
doesn't really matter, both (one never ends&wonder ends) are amazing lyrics.
sick video bro, fucking great
does anyone know what chords he is playing from 5:25 to 5:45
I really love this song, anyone know if it has a name or not?
my friend actually learned the unknown song on guitar by hearing it
You were at the Revival tour show in Nashville?
That's exactly what I thought it was too.
If so, I hope this is just an live version and not the actual version. I want to hear a new song with the whole band! :)
But if it's the real version, I'm fine, too :)
I think the lyrics are "fork in a road and one never ends."
he said he was gonna play killing tree and then played this soo....im going to take it that its an old killing tree song that never actually got out.
They admitted they miss the harder parts of Rise against lately so it is pretty much possible they will go back to the older style for the next album.
Wow, I would love to go to that, rather than some concert where 80% of the people don't have a clue what they're singing about
No it's not... He played a Killing Tree Song later this show (Them's fighting words)
check it out, it's awesome :)
he played them's fightin' words. this is something else, i very much doubt this is a tkt song. have you listened to that shit? it's so hardcore, it's awesome.
Have you written a letter to Tim? i'm still waiting for a email reply
well, no homework is going to get done tonight
It was "Bleeder", It was a cover .
You mean 33. He was born in 1979 on November 3rd.
could this song be from the next album? that would be amazing! :)
Does that mean you have the rest of the chords? If you do, it'd mean a lot if you could share them with me or something
I mispelled a word.. haha. I like the name "Saddled Horses" better, although yours sounds cool too :)
just another reason im proud to be a chicagoan...
i do not, it mostly looks like Em Cadd9 and G but i love the chords he uses from 5:25 to 5:45
This is a old song from the killing tree :))
It's called '' unknown song'' :)
no its not. give me a link to your source please :)
ive googled the killing tree and they havnt made a song called "unknown song" as far as i can see
The chord sequence at the beginning sounds a bit like Please Don't Let It Go by HIM, either way this song's amazing :')
It sounds like a song that could have that title. I'm hoping that Dirt and Roses will be hardcore since almost all of their b-sides are anymore.
