  • Here at Autocar we were always big fans of the Ferrari FF: Ferrari's quirky 'breadvan' shaped four-seater.
Subscribe now to Autocar on RUclips: smarturl.it/autocar
Now, the FF has been updated, revised and refreshed, and gets a new name. This is the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso.
And this is our drive on it, on some of the most beautiful - if busy - mountain roads that Europe has to offer. We find out how four-wheel steer combines with four-wheel drive and a sonorous 6.3-litre, naturally-aspirated V12 engine that revs to 8250rpm.
But, what do you reckon: a GTC4 Lusso? Or a Bentley Continental GT, Rolls-Royce Wraith or Aston Martin DB11? Comment below!

I love the latest Ferraris and I don't understand why people are complaining. They look great, they sound great, they are faster than ever before and now are also up to date with latest technology, both for better driving experience (like the active aero and real wheel steering) and for easier life with the car (Apple CarPlay etc). Furthermore, Ferrari manage to keep that glorious naturally aspirated V12 for some of their models, whereas the turbo V8 they use in the GTB is so good that it won the engine of the year award. And they promised to continue using V8s and V12s, and not use engines with less cylinders.
GTC4Lusso is an amazing addition to the current line-up and I genuinely have no idea what's wrong with it.

I do not belive Ferrari make the best cars in the world, but i will say apart from the name (yes it refrences old ferraris, that doesn't make it a good name) i do not see a problem with this car, i looks well sorted

+simon aarnes GTC = Gran Turismo Coupè, 4 = four wheel drive/steering, Lusso = Luxury. Can hardly call it a throw back name, the name describes the car, just like it did in the past.

Because Ferrari operates like the Italian Mafia or Berlusconi's government. They're fucking cunts to customers, they cheat in car reviews and their interiors are shit. I cant deny they build great cars though, but i'd rather shop from some company that isnt run by such massive cunts.

If you think about the people who buy this model of Ferrari, this music has an old tune and is a throwback for them of their early 20s, and it suddenly makes sense.

Saw a rare one of those this week in the rare color '468 - Pistachio Green Metallic'.
I have a BMW e46 3-series Compact in that rare color, with rare matching pistachio colored M half leather sports interior as well, and of course M-sport suspension. Sadly my engine is just a poor 316 4 banger, that's the only let down of the car actually.
Anyway, owning such a car made me research how rare the color was and it's hardly used by BMW all of the car ranges. But yeah, the BMW M Coupe is indeed a beaty but I think my e46 3-series Compact (hot hatch) is more practical for family uses.

Stunning, all 'round. This supersedes the FF as my favorite Ferrari-I like the oddballs and this seems a less frenetic grand turismo drive than the F12berlinetta. Love the Dolomites press launch. Yes busy but it's summer in one of the most gorgeous places in Europe. Which route, 'zackly? Want to do that myself.

That ferrari dark blood red with black carbon stylings is the way to go for most of today's ferraris.
But i do like the understated blue of this car. If your wife is like mine, she would do be seen in 'look at me' colour ferrari or lambo. And I certainly couldn't do ferrari rosso red no matter the model. Yes they look cool, but when sat at the lights, I'd just feel a bit silly.

And I wish Ferrari and Mercedes would for the love of God ditch the spherical A/C vents. They are like giant boils on the face of the dashboard. The nice thing about traditional square vents is that they look orderly even when you turn the vents in every other direction. But the rounded vents, although they are easier to turn in the exact direction you want the air to flow, look chaotic unless they are all facing straight forward. And did I mention they look like giant boils?
