@@richardmusicman8997 Spent a good amount of time with one in a music shop with a strat into a Fender ML Deville (a combo I'm very familiar with). I must say the MS-3 is very transparent and pretty much felt like plugging straight in.
@@thesphericalguy9018 Thanks for your answear, I love the idea of this unit, seems perfect for me, but my problem Is that every Boss multi-fx unit I've tried, they alway seem to compress the sound, like no matter how hard or soft you pick, the sound is always the same, and like if they alter the tone of the guitar a little, so thats why I am a little afraid of getting this unit and then not liking it, but I've read a good amount of opinions that the unit is transparent enough, so I'll maybe give it a try
Is it possible to use an expression pedal and assign it to control the volume / level of the pedal in loop 1? The idea being using a tubescreamer and the exp pedal to determine how much gain it has. Is that possible?
Hi, leopoldoinnecco5924. The expression pedal will only control the effects that are built into the MS-3. If you’re wanting to be able to increase gain of the Tubescreamer on the fly, you could run a boost in the same loop as the Tubescreamer and just turn that on when you want more gain. The Earthquaker Devices Arrows, MXR Micro Amp, or Benson Boost would all be great options. That way you could turn the two pedals on and off together with the MS-3, but still turn the boost on and off independently. Thanks for your interest! Hi! I´ve finally bought it, but I can´t adjust the whammy efect. What do I have to do? What´s the sequence? I also would like to use the expression pedal as a volume booster. How can I do it too? Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!

Tue MS3 cuts off Delay and Reverb trails when you change presets. There is the curnum function that allows to have only two snapshots/scenes within one preset without cutting trails. But when you change the preset then trails are cut off again. Is there a way to create more than two snapshots (for ex example in manual mode)? Or is manual mode not able to simultaneously turn on and off multiple FX by the mere push of ONE button?
There is. He uses the "memory" mode for all of this presets, but if you hit the button on the top, it'll put it into "manual" mode where you can turn individual effects routed to the four numbered switches on and off, run latch and momentary switching, and use a tap tempo for the delays.
5 years on, this is still a comprehensive and very useful video thanks Mitch. Just dusting mine off now and setting it up again with my JP2C.
Love the framed picture of Wesley Willis in the corner there. Rock over London rock on Chicago!
i just saw this, what the hell XD incredible!
Best piece of gear I have purchased for live use. Don't miss tap dancing on pedals at all and can still use all my over drive pedals.
Breathing between some words is nice time to time :) cool review!
Hahhahhahaha
love that your searching for and explaining -awesome tone variations - space saver but will the next step be more tone and flexibility?
I use my Boss GT100 for this kind of setup. It's same thing! :)
Love the review, some cool things shown great tones
I love mine. I do the 4cm with one of the loops. It switches my amps channels. happiness.
How do you make the connections for 4cm? do you get loop ground noise?
How about transparency of the unit? Do you feel that colors or alter the natural sound and dynamics of your drive pedals and guitar?
