They are a great band. My family has served this country either in the military or 1st responders. I'm a firefighter and really appreciate what they do for vets and 1st responders. Much respect for them and what they do.
My grandfather was at Okinawa in WWII, my dad fought in Vietnam & my Marine daughter and her hubby who is spec force are both in the sandbox. My oldest daughter rappels out of helicopters into forest fires. I know some people don't think of wildland firefighters as 1st responders but I know their "brother" structure firefighters respect what they do... structure fires are a sprint and wildland fires are a marathon! Thank you for laying it out on the line for your community!!

As far as I know, FFDP gets hate from so many people, but not from me - just love them & their music.
You know, I definitely don't hate them. I enjoy their work. But, I can understand why people don't like them. They have so much talent that they don't use to its full potential. But to hate is stupid.
5FDP is one of my favorite bands so much that I have them tattooed on me. And thank you for your service 🙌🏼
They are on tour now I believe...I have tickets to see them Nov 22 in NC. They are touring with Three Days Grace, and Bad Wolves. I've seen them a few times and they are one of my favorite bands to see live! Awesome show every time! Also Irag Vet here- 2004 -05

I was watching an interview on five finger death punch and they were saying when they were taking that plane ride into Iraq that they showed in the video they were taking fire from rockets and bullets and other stuff.
People who haven’t served dont understand, you can get out of the military but it never leaves you. In ways i wish I hadn’t gone in, but having done it (21years) I’d do it again. I still try and maintain my military bearing. I see it in you, no matter how long you live, it’ll always be there, like a ruck you cant put down, and wouldn’t even if you could. I think its one of the reasons so many vets struggle when they come home. They dont fully understand that the person they were is gone...you can build something that resembles what you had but there’s only pain in trying to be something you no longer are. What you carry around in your ruck will be different than me, but it doesn’t serve you well to drag it around behind you. Grab it with both hands, spread your stance, square your shoulders and throw that shit up there where it belongs. Squarely on your back. Maintain your military bearing, embrace the suck, and drive on...............
Right after I retired from the Army I grew some chin hair and just happened to get a flat cap (English Driver's hat) and some younger people would tell me I looked like a 6 foot version of the lead singer from 5FDP. At the time I had never even heard of the group so I didn't get it and just forgot about the comments. If I had known they were such a Military supportive band, I would have listened to them long ago. Great music, strong themes. I had to get rid of the flat cap though, prefer to be me and not mistaken for someone else even if it is a cool dude. Thank you guys for posting these videos. Not only did it let me see who these guys are, but your posting of Wrong Side of Heaven really got to me. I can relate to a lot of the content and I'll admit that I did cry a little thinking about my brothers and sisters that are suffering. As soon as I am financially stable again I fully plan to do anything and everything I can to help my people overcome issues that restrict their peace.
None of the band members are veterans but they have strong ties to the military. Zoltan Bathory started a group that helps sufferers of PTSD and performing on USO tours overseas effected Ivan Moody deeply.

Love FFDP. I am going to go see them November 22nd in Greensboro, NC. They are awesome. They are going to be with …. Three Days Grace and Bad Wolves. I just saw Three Days Grace back in August 17th. In Charlotte NC. Alone with Breaking Benjamin and Chevelle. I am also a Veteran. Army . Love you guy's channel.
If you were in Kuwait in 2010 you were there at the same time as them the concert scene was shot at the zone 6 stage at Camp AJ
My Grandfather was in Iraq in 2010 while working for the Department of defense. I showed him this music video and while he didn't stay to see FFDP perform, he did see them in the mess hall of the base and he said one of the guys came up to ask him and his friend what they were working on that they were visiting that base. They are a bunch of cool guys that actually take an interest in what is going on and supporting the troops. Hats off to them and the amazing things they do.
I still think bad wolves- remember when would be cool to see you react to. Tommy Vex is a great singer who's sung for fddp. And has a really sad life story explained in the Song

FFDP actually starts a fall/winter USA tour in the next few days. And a new album should be out very soon also. I’ll be seeing them for the 3rd time in Des Moines, IA on Dec 15th with Three Days Grace and Bad Wolves.

As I have read one of the members was still an active member in the military when this song/ video was done. Could be a story but they seem to have a connection to the military

Yes go see them! I've only seen them once at the Mohegan Sun Arena but they're worth it I promise. They have shows often I highly recommend checking them out in concert. Maybe if you get a chance to even talk to the guys I wasn't able to but they'd probably love hearing from both of you.
Honestly you could interpret this song in many ways. I also recommend checking out far from home by FFDP if you haven't already. Beautiful song in my opinion.

I've met them years ago in person in Oklahoma City for a rock festival and me and my friend was there super early and we saw them hanging out outside, got to talk to them got pics with them and got to hang out with them all day and after the show
One of the times they where playing at a base overseas and the base got attacked. They where dressed up in full armor and where even taught how to shoot guns and where even given guns.

Supposedly they’re all veterans, or at least the founding members. Not sure if that’s true, but that’s why they focus on the military so much.

Not a lot of people know this for this video they actually went over and played for them. So all of the footage of the people is real people who are or have been over there
They just released an album this year f8 is the name and they had a sold out tour that got cancelled due to covid i know cus i had tix for the phoenix show

I was at fob Garry Owen in Iraq in 2010 when they came, they were at balad, I tried to convince my command to let me go but they shot it down. Oh well, at least I can say I was in Iraq when they were there lol

You do know... weather it be, a news person or celebrity... you have to go thru, some sort of training before you are aloud to air the footage.... so you don't embarrassed the military.... I love FFDP.... They are, without a doubt, my favorite band of all times.... I have at least 5 songs of theirs, that just make me cry when I hear them....... I wish for them (FFTP) so much luck in the world.....

Keep your eyes peeled they do tour I've seen them it was a few years ago though. Not sure if they're working on anything new at the moment. Keep your eyes peeled though.

I'm a 53 yr. old white guy, i've watched 4 a bit. Had hopes 4 u., All I can say is, do whatever it takes to remain friends! Your vid's seem to be few and far between, and lacking in any kind of content. I know u wish to do good, 4 serv. people., I hope u can find an ave. that will work. This 4mat will never get u there.
