    Why dont we just use Ay=Ax ×Ay formula its very simple to calculate area in that way

    answer will be 5... once check plz as u(t+1)xu(t+1)=r(t+1). u have written r(t+2)

      Prasanna Rama and that's not multiplication... If you multiply two ideal unit step signal you'll get same signal as output .... That is convolution

      Muhammad Ali in case of ramp.... Just to understand take angel as 45degree.... Then length will be equal to hight.... So it's 2

      Consider r(t+2)... Here the slope is 1 which is nothing but amplitude... We have the point (-2,0) and slope as 1 so we get the other point as (0,2).. Similarly for -r(t-2) the slope is -1.. Here consider the points (2,2) and (4,0) which gives u the slope -1..
