This is so fucking dumb. we want the overall team draft grade not which players won. everyone who got drafted in the first round is a winner like wtf 😭
I’m an Atlanta fan and I’m actually glad we got Penix. Call me crazy but that man is a DAWG 🔥💯
I agree. Yall are going to be so happy with him slinging it 88 yards at a time. The kid is wonderful!!
I actually agree, I think its a good move to put Penix behind a vet for a year, also fantastic backup in case Cousins gets hurt.
As a Huskies fan you got a good one for sure.
Ok you are crazy.
Now we gotta find a way to get rid of Cousins
@@jzoepfl exactly! I think this move honestly will motivate cousins even more to prove he’s not washed up. This was a checkmate move
I think the Vikings crushed it! I was expecting the Vikings to give up a couple 1st rounders to move up and take JJ. They moved up with a 6th to get him. They used that saved 1st round pick to move up and take a stud on the edge!
I will admit, the Bears did a good job. Bust or not, you can't say they didn't try to get him weapons.
JJ about to be a bust. 😂
@@FungiRy91tell that to his rings
JJ ain’t it … odds are 60-70% of those qbs are bust …
@@anythingforclicks how often are the earlier QB’s taken the ones that pan out 😅 historically you are way better off taking the 3rd QB off the board & then on
@@olumideadebayo6110ok Mac Jones😂😂😂
Spielman is a true gentleman. When the dust settles one must evaluate the efficiency of these trades. The results are great, but the cost didn’t need to be this high. To attain the 17th pick, the Vikings give up the 42nd pick, pick 167, pick 188 in 2024. Additionally they surrender their second, third and fourth round pick in 2025.
The Vikings Got back 232nd pick in the 7th round. My point is, before you assign genius to this, I would point out that it doesn’t take a genius to ring up your credit card. Understand that the Vikings paid much more for the Dallas Turner pick than they did for the JJ McCarthy pick, however ironic this may be.
As a Bears fan I am still stunned Rome fell to us. Absolutely loved our draft! Also gotta give credit to Minnesota, getting Turner at 17 was a steal. The north is going to be brutal...
Falcons had a weird draft..
I don't think so. But I'm old school I think the rookie quarterback sits on the bench and holds a clipboard and doesn't even play. Not a down. Tom Brady didn't play his first year Aaron Rodgers, several years. That's just the way it should be they're not ready for the more complicated defenses. I think the falcons play cousins for 2 years and then penix comes in? I love what they did. Is it a risk a little bit but of course it is..taking a quarterback in the first round is a risk.. we don't know who the washouts are going to be?? The first 3 COULD wash out who knows.. I'm a New England fan so I hope not, but I had penix number one. He throws the ball down the field very accurately. You give him a couple of weapons and watch out. Teach him how to play teach him the defenses and then put him in there. People are saying that's bad... Not me, I was most impressed with the falcons.
Or the trade for a pick
Penix was the best QB in the entire draft and they nabbed him- are you kidding?
They either develop him with Kirk or they use them as a trade piece.
@@Turtlehands
Been a Patriot fan since birth '75.
I couldn't agree with you more re Penix. That kid's ability to be a gunslinger, throw behind the shoulder passes, tight gap passes, his ability to scramble, run, and read defenses is what's so impressive.
I really wanted NE to draft him. I'm not a Maye fan. When you watch film his passes are more or less standard passes and to wide open receivers, no actual skill. I'm not holding my breath and we will see, though, I don't see him being anything less than a Ryan Tannehill or Chad Henne:(
Tom Brady didn't get pick in the first round. He got pick last round. The falcon could had Rome odzune
Thought that SF had a bad pick too. But Steve Smith approved him, and the guy hasn’t missed a receiver that he’s stamped with his approval yet. He called Puka last year btw😅
Broncos reached so bad 😂. They could have had Bo Nix in the second round
No there was a run on quarterbacks.. in the long run in 5 years no one is going to care that they paid an extra draft pick to get him.
Wrong😂
Not really he was getting picked first round definitely
You forgot about the Raiders? They obviously need a QB and didn't want to risk it
Bruh u a grade a moron
Its like Roger Goodell specifically asked all early drafts to take QBs to put a strain on LV Raiders
Three dudes that never played a snap of football telling us who made the best choice lol
Last year draft and this year and next year draft is really bringing in the next chapter of the NFL
Why do all the executives shake hands after drafting a player? You don't know if you're pick is even good yet... You actually have to pick someone. There's nothing to shake about.
I'm disappionted I really thought a 7th Quarterback was gonna get drafted in the first round.
Who??? All they good ones that were considered first round picks got taken
I so wanted Rattler, Pratt and Davis, all to be picked late in the first round with teams moving up to get them.
Those guys are not worth first round
@@Mustymustard887
Maybe…….but Tom Brady and Brock Purdy were……so conventional thinking isn’t always right…….and sometimes fear and anxiety and supply or poor information => lead to bad decisions.
Some poor/bad decisions are made every draft => for selecting some guys too low……and others too high.
It sure makes it interesting.
@@toxicsabbath7089
Thanks for agreeing with and proving my point!
It’s SUBJECTIVE. It’s not reality.
As it should, the Draft is optimism filled.
Now we see which draftees are focused on playing.
I'm proud of my panthers trading up 1 spot, that gave us a pick in every round now.
I’m proud of the panthers too god bless you and your team
@@trevguestyea me too. Giving away the first overall pick lol. For a 5’8 qb. And a whole bunch of other picks. Fools. Should of had stroud

Bears got a bust.
Williams' Hollywood ego isn't going to fit in Chicago. Not with the players OR the fans.
Bears fans are so delusional. They are 1 season removed from being the literal worst team in the league and now they think they’re Super Bowl contenders because they drafted another first round QB. I’m not saying the Bears fans can’t be excited. They had a good first day of the draft. But how about let Caleb Williams play a single game before crowning yourselves champions?
Atlanta has the best Quarterback room in the NFL 🎉
Lions get best CB in the draft.
Lmao
Time will tell
Congrats to Lions 🦁 i wanted him bad but having to choose between Mitchell and Arnold is a dream problem to have 1A vs 1B either way you slice it.
U don’t know that yet until he plays in the league so don’t jumped the gun just yet.
They eagles 🦅 had a chance to draft him 🤦🏿♂️ I hope it’s not like the Justin Jefferson situation when they took Reagor over Jefferson
SKOL 💜
SKOL 💜💛🤍
Eagles and chiefs won 100 percent best value at the picks they had Mitchell should have went 12-16 and fell into our lap. Go birds🦅
I've said it since kirk signed with atl it's a 2 yr deal at best now it might be a 1 yr deal cause if pennix progresses like a Jordan love or better than love kirko will be gone
I’ve been in Detroit since Wednesday for the draft. I can’t believe I’m saying this but this place has been awesome 😂
Saw Ricky Pearsall play at nearby ASU b4 transferring druing the covid fiasco. May ex ASU guy Prisco is upset at that--we also saw Daniels transfer then, only to later win the Heismann. Pearsall also grew up down the street in Chandler (played at Tempe Corona Del Sol HS), next to Gilbert where 49ers current top QB Brock Purdy played (Gilbert Perry HS). That connection could also have played a very small role..they likely know each other well & have maybe practiced or worked out together... Not a bad pick in my estimation; he has talent.
Bears just got themself a JaMarcus Russell for more years of agony.
ATL got the BEST A+ pick of all the QBs.
I'm pissed my Patriots got Maye. Mitch trubinsky....Maye Will lucky to be Ryan tannehill or Chad Henne
Definitely my 49ers are losers. I'm not going to lie. We pulled a Raiders 🥺😳
You don’t like Ricky ?
@@Steven-bq2nw my team needed a freaking OL or CB. We could've got him in late 3rd round. WR wasn't need in the 1st rd bro.
Raiders got one of top 5 players in draft
Yes your pick totally sucked
The best player in the draft may come at the last pick of the 7th round.😜Don't sell Shanahan short.
He may pull a rabbit out of the hat.🐇
JJ has a better chance at being Zack Wilson than Penix who actually has a throwing arm
Hey somebody who sees what I see.. I think penix is pretty damn good too. He did have two good targets but so did the guy from LSU. You shouldn't penalize him for having good receivers. He threw the ball to them right on Target and with a good amount of authority. Give him some targets in Atlanta and watch out 3rd year put cousins in for two and then he'll have learned the defenses and be ready to play. Brady sat on the bench with a clipboard his first season you have to remember that or at least understand that.
JJ and Penix will crush it in the league
To anyone (On TV) or not, that thinks the Falcons wrong for that pick don’t know Jack $hit. You have to have a back up plan on case Cousins get hurt again.. I saw nothin wrong with that pick.. I loved it for us.. I don’t care who against it..
If they had concerns, why even sign him? You don't use a top 10 pick on a guy that is going to sit and is an older player. They could have at least traded back.
@@kingkongdontgotnothingonme4688 I stand on what I said, and plus to your statement, they just drafted a player in the 2nd Round, pick number 35.. DT from Clemson.. we’ll be alright. Let it smooth itself out
How does Pete not understand that the 49ers aren't keeping Aiyuk or Deebo.. or maybe not either
The Vikings absolutely crushed this round. They were able to get JJ McCarthy while also keeping their other first round pick, and then using it on an high upside Edge rusher that is literally tailor made for a Brian Flores defense. And they still have an early 4th plus a handful of 6th and 7th round picks to work with. If I were them, I'd be hoping that some of these cornerbacks continue to slide and maybe they can poach a guy like Khyree Jackson, Caelen Carson, or Renardo Green at pick 108.
I also really love what the Colts, Steelers, Eagles, and Jags were able to do. Somehow the NFL let the Eagles just waltz into the CB1 of the draft which was their exact need. And the Jags trading down and still getting BTJ is a masterclass.
My Lions also did a great job getting Terrion Arnold, but giving up the 73rd pick is a really high price to pay to move up 5 spots. Might have been better to stick and hope Terrion falls, and then pivot to Dejean if he didn't. Oh well, he's a great player and a great fit.
Murph6 lasting till 16 is insane. He will be the new Aron Donald , may not have the pass rush chops right off the bat , but who knows , he like donald is just a ball of muscle, and a rare quick twitch interior lineman
Bear down baby!!!! 💯💯💯
Bears won day 1
Fr
As a Vikings fan, they had a great day. Bust or not, you can't say they didn't give him weapons!
GO BEARS 🐻!
@kevinathans4191 how did the vikings have a better day bears got the better qb and a top receiver and didn't give up any draft capital like the vikings had to bears cleared easily
@@edgarmireles7559he ain’t sayin that dawg he’s agreeing da bears drafted well. And honestly the Vikings drafted really well too
TE BROCK BOWERS BOUT TO EEEAAATT!!! With Davante and Jacoby Myers on either side… He gonna be open alll day. Let’s fucking goooo! Great pick Raiders
I'm wondering how Penix got chosen so high. Maybe it was his Heisman Tro.....no that's not it. Maybe it's his National Championshi.....no that's not it either. I got it! He falls apart in the big games! Perfect for Atlanta! He's the prime candidate for another 28-3 scenario.
Rookie QBs need good defense and a online they have to earn toys we rb etc
ATL made the best choice they have made in many years by selecting Mike P
The Bears really killed this draft.
God I love Rick still
Falcons are doing it right. Let their rookie sit and learn. Penix is going to be great.
He’s already 24 years old. Can’t sit for long.
@@ragmanintx gives him time to develop and the pressure to succeed isn’t there right away. Something like a Love, Brady, or Mahomes. I’m not saying he will be like Mahomes or Brady, but he won’t be a bust off the bat.
Eagles quietly got the best corner in the draft and didn’t have to trade up to get him. I also thought the Giants did a good job with not giving up the house for Drake Maye and getting Nabers at 6.
Haha Kurt( Kirk) Cousins😂 already a QB controversy!
Kirk
You know he’s not going to be flaunting his gold grill or chains anytime soon. 😂
Falcons are smart. Who knows how well Cousins knee is that, and they know what the backup is capable of. Cousins should know better he knows he will start if his knee is healed and the rookie can sit and watch the speed of the nfl so he don't become Ridder, woodside, and Rosen. Smart move
@@YouCanChangeYourWorldToday Not anymore. It is now Kurt.
@denniskovach6946 I agree with that. The bigger issue is the $100mil guaranteed to a guy you aren't sure is healthy.
The biggest winner is Arizona. They were able to get the best player in the draft
I think the playoff teams from last season were the winners. With the run on QBs and offensive players early that pushed the better defensive players to the second half of the first round where the playoff teams were. You know all of those QBs are not going to pan out.
Penix will be best qb taken.
That just won't be nearly true
That is also my prediction.
Media is hilarious. YOU guys didn't think they would go in the first round. You think these GMs are just gonna tell everyone what they're doing and what everyone else is gonna do? Especially CBS Sports you guys are the worst
Everyone gets an "A+"
Why are they all picking different topics for “winners and losers”? The first idiot picked actual Draft picks… he was supposed to pick teams
No rb 1$t round.undervalued?
“ I thought they would by the way “
So you talk crap about it and then try to say you always thought it would happen 😂 great job riding the fence
Bro, the Chiefs got another Hill smfh 😢😢😢
That was a good pick
That was a solid pick
They should've taken McConkey.
Happy as hell with the Steelers draft. Got one of the best linemen at 20, Troy Fautanu lets goooo
i agree
Here’s what makes no sense to me, if you wanted to take a future QB after cousins is gone you should have taken one 2 years down the line when he has enough time to develop but also won’t have just 1 year to actually get a shot after cousins leaves. You wasted a pick on a QB who won’t be starting for the next four years and the team itself isn’t getting better
Penix ain’t a winner cuz he’s not going to start for 3-4 yrs.
And he'll be close to 30 by then
@@650tonyd😂😂.. fact
he will start in 2years and will get schooled by a vet in return. while he waits his turn...ITS A W
So he’ll be like 30? Seems like an odd choice then
Stupid pick. Should of got another weapon for cousins. Falcons gonna falcon
You can win with average qb wit a good team only a hand full can carry a average team
Bo Nix is incredible
Taking him top 20 was a reach. Could have had him in the second round
If I were Cousins I'd be furious-- how about a great WR to win now? Classic Falcons. Someone tell me what the Falcons have done ever to make anyone think they really know what they're doing.
They needed edge
@@Theteenagegamer
The Falcons haven't had an elite defense arguably in their entire existence as a franchise.
Agreed. If your going to draft a position you have that high then take Brock and run him out of the slot.
Why out of that 180 he signed for how much is guaranteed? 90 mill He can get cut n get all his guaranteed n sign one more deal
@@tonyrigazio196 True. I believe 2 seasons are fully guaranteed.
Finally the Bears made me proud
Still gonna suck
@@DamianM1k but not as much as your mom🤣🤣🤣
Wide receiver abd qb yes I agree
Bears have been drafting in the top 10 for 2 decades. Nothing to see here.
The Bears have drafted 31 QBs in the Superbowl Era and only 1 has played 100 games as a starter
Let's be honest rick was always gonna say the Vikings won as the former gm
Vikings biggest winner, Falcons biggest loser. NFL draft has become so boring, I turned it off after the 5th pick.
The Vikings? A team in their own division did better than they did.
who dat got us an OT.good move ⚜️
I'm still confused on how penix jr was a bad pick. He looked better then Williams the entire season and looked like the most dominant QB all year. I probably would have even taken Bo Nix over Williams tbh.
Bills are the biggest winner, plenty-o wide receivers still available due to poor 1st round pix
Drafting and sitting qbs is the new thing to do and I think it's wonderful for the league, u see the falcons g.m. explain and green bay has done it twice now wit A-rod and Love, Mahones set for one year and Brady had to play but he did sit one year, only celeb Williams should start right away, the rest should sit and learn for a year or more, it's will make the league better, stop throwing qbs into the fire thats not ready, it f**ks up there confidence and for most thats the end of them being a franchise qb, if it's your team, this is what u should want.
I don’t get it why did the falcons take penix
Vikings RB gonna have 50 rushes a game
It's the Mahomes Effect. All these teams want the next Mahomes.
What ??😂 football didn’t start when mahomes got drafted 😂😂😂 you mean tons of teams needed quarterbacks this year some teams still need one

The Williams pick is going to cost Ryan Poles his job
NY Giants made the right pick. Joe Schoen doing smokescreens like Shinobi. JJ McCarthy was left on seen in the DM.
Vikings: lets see if we can get another Kirk 🙂
Vikings fans: WTF!!! 🤬
Vikings fans, like myself, are used to being hurt. On every little thing about our team, 50% of us will be Pessimistic and the other 50% will be hopeful. On everything. I fall on the hopeful side. McCarthy is 23-1 in his college career. Kid knows how to win, makes quick and good decisions under pressure, is an accurate thrower, and doesn’t turnover the ball.
And Dallas Turner is a monster of an Edge rusher. Fast, athletic, and hungry. There’s no way he should’ve been down at 17 but we’ll happily take him.
Penix will only get the starter job at 26-27😂
Caleb Williams , will be a ok qb at best , bears shoulda kept , fields .. drafted around him .
Why would you let Lools Lip Cousins know what you are doing?
Caleb #1 can't identify a lot of his open receivers ...Bill Belicheck pointed this out #1 ? Will see 👀
Biggest loser from day 1 will be Browns because they lost this pick 2 years ago due to questionable trade.
I love Micheal Penix but I feel like they should have kept Kirk so it's kinda useless
😂😂😂 Prisco says Penix and Nix are the biggest winners. All while Penix is the biggest loser in this draft. He isn't even going to get an opportunity until he is at least 26. The Falcons will probably have moved on at that point. 😂😂😂
Bears will not do jack. Report back around Thanksgiving. Caleb will be a part time qb . Boy is always hurt. NFL defenders licking chops for this rookie
Penix was questionable. Certainly a value pick
He said good pick @8 lol why sign Kirk Cousins lol
How can you Penix and Nix are both the winners as they should have gone 2nd? Both Penis and Nix were in the final selection for Heisma both pro material QBs and yet no mention of McCarthy who isn’t really on the same level as the other two. I guess they need to come from SEC to be good, give me break. This shows you time and again that these analysts are wrong just like rankings system is a joke.
I'm glad ebenezer spielman is no longer a Viking kwesi is much bettet..skol.
Biggest winner to me Chicago n San Diego Biggest losser Kirk Cousins
Guess Cousins won't be healthy long term ..great job management

Falcons made the right choice. Penix will have a great team once Cousins is done
Dude will be 30 by then
@@davidmontgomery1442completely agree. That’s the most surprising pick of this draft. They signed Cousins to a 4 yr $180M deal this offseason. You’re telling me that Pennix is going to sit for 4 /5 yrs then the Falcons will have to sign him to a max deal to keep him? Pennix is the most NFL ready QB in this draft. Doesn’t make sense.

Packers crushed it. Cardinals got Jerry Rice 2.0 bears will still suck
Talking empty heads. Teams (Bears) have finally come to emulate the Packers. Draft the talent and let him learn from the seasoned talent before you throw the uneducated bag of muscle and testosterone into the deep end of the pool. QB success comes more from education than from raw physical potential. Another great Black hope. Maybe Williams will finally be it. Based on his conduct I doubt this will be.
The vikings jumped and will fail on this qb like they always do.
The ownership is trash and won't ever change. They will be 3-4th in the nfc north.

Did he just call atl a winner?
😂 swear some of these guys don't know what the F they are talking about 😂 the guy in the white shirt praises the Bears for drafting a receiver when they have one of the top duos and 2 good TEs and a RB that catches passes and shades the 49ers because they have Debo and Aiyuk what other holes should they have filled
The Bears are the dummys they have way more holes to fill. Rome is Poles safety pick if Caleb flops.
Raiders biggest losers. They don’t get a quarterback & have to go into the season AGAIN with a veteran.. Gardner Minshew
Yeah yeah Chicago. You've already destroyed idk how many top qb picks... you'll release or trade him in 3-4 years.
Kirk Cousins is just a player, a very overpaid one at that given . He needs to concentrate on being the best he can be! What difference does it make if they notify him before choosing a QB? His job doesn't change, and he has no veto-power. QBs and other players don't want to be GMs during contract negotiations, but they want to be GMs and coaches when drafts are made at their positions and the systems are being constructed. They cannot have it both ways.
Cousins got his third bag despite having ONE playoff win in his 12-year career. He also got that bag while coming off an ACL injury. I was shocked that anyone gave him $190M with $90M guaranteed, tbh. He's on the other side of 35 and coming off a catastrophic injury, yet his third team in a row has given him a license to print money. The Falcons are paying him like he has a SB ring! He needs to "shut up and throw!"
