@K.O.G.Fanstarks1610 Good points. I think the reason for the difference is intentional; Taro always said he wanted each of his works to be independent of each other. DG is DG, Nier is Nier. That's what I think. Hopefully we'll see a remake/remaster of DG 1 --> 3. Or maybe a 4th one?
@@KOTEBANAROT muso games are still popular enough. I mean just look at the zelda ones which sold crazy numbers. The problem is the dark humour of DG3 I imagine
If there was a single song I could pick that represents Drakengard, it would be this. This song is both beautiful, frightening, messy, raw, and even when it's at its most distressing, you can't help but want more.
This is well composed. It’s like it’s a mixture of Drakengard 2 + Drakengard 1. The beginning giving us this somber yet soothing melody while the later half is the chaotic yet repetitive blend of the first games soundtrack.
@@novustalks7525the song is official, the youtube video is not. with how japanese copyright works, they don’t like having anyone posting songs or parodies of their ip, even if they don’t provide means to listen to the song outside of the game or paid ost. hence why the previous video got taken down.

2:56 Crimson lights the sky, the bird still asleep Like a dream it shines, from heaven's safe keep I call out these prayers to the sky, heavy with thought, see your face I carry these memories inside, thoughts of a soul colored by love See me grow wings and fly high, passions will die down below I burn in a basin of fire, watchers look on as they dance in their merciless sky Watching me...
This played in the middle of my lofi radio all of a sudden, while I was in the middle of trying to beat a grappling hook time trial in a video game, and never before until today has one song filled me with so much unbridled rage. I wish I could appreciate this, but I will forever be scarred by this memory. Edit: This is now one of my favorite songs, ironically for the exact reasons I didn't like it in the first place.
It's interesting that Nowe is there too, given that this is an official poster. It kind of makes you wonder if Drakengard 2 is in some way cannon, but not in the way we understand it?
I don't personally think it's as deep as that. Since the album contains arrangements from the Drakengard series and NieR, it respectively shows the relevant characters from each game.
Basically Drakengard is like Zelda. There are different timelines. And curiously all drakengard 3 ending can take to drakengard 1 events (yoko taro said so)
@@GensokyanImperialism Do you have a source for that? As far as I understand, the only confirmation we have is DoD3's Ending A leading to the "Drakengard 1.3" manga, which is fairly different from the first game on its own

Yeah I know which one you mean, I've been hunting for it too. Sadly it's unreleased OST that's not on any album. Best bet would be to try and rip it from the game ISO itself, which is not my expertise.

@K.O.G.Fanstarks1610 Taro is in a different place, yes. If anything, I'll be content with him simply making another game - as long as it's not gacha

After the whole church thing. I truly realize how cool a Drakengard 1 remake would be. Such an amazing story should have its polish like Replicant

Much more reminiscent of Drakkenguard 1 songs than even the original.
