I live on the other side of the earth from you, and I see from your news report: It was like watching my local news reports. We all struggle with this pervasive ignorance among supposed health experts who continue to espouse meat (beef/poultry/pork/fish/etc.) and dairy as part of a healthy diet. Wake up world!
Thank you Andrew, especially for reminding us in the last part of tonight's message about why you got started on this path. Your perseverance is truly the best life lesson you shared with us this past year.

You are such a wonderful man Andrew! This video absolutely wrecked my self-control over holding back tears! Haha. Such beautiful, powerful and much-needed words you and your lovely wife shared, so touching and moving. For me today is day 366, the last day of my potato fast, and it just feels like such a tremendous experience to have gone through. There aren't adequate words to even describe all of the changes within me that have taken place throughout this journey. I am quite giddy and in shock that I was able to make it through this year on potatoes. It is such an otherworldly experience in a way.
I weighed in this morning for my final "spud weigh in" and the grand total/results are: I have lost 121.9 pounds (about 55.4 kg) in 366 days! Though, like you, this was never truly about weight loss for me, it still amazes me that such positive health benefits have emerged from a life-changing journey that was meant only to rewire my "relationship with food". I desperately needed a way out of the severe depressive and oppressive state of being I was in before this amazing experience, I needed to heal that damaged and seemingly powerless "little fat girl" inside that thought she needed food to feel alive, to feel any sort of happiness, to hide from the people that hurt her, to escape. Thanks to you and your wonderful encouragement and your own personal experiences you have shared throughout your own Potato journey, I now know FINALLY what it is like to be set free from all of those horrors. Sure, these things don't disappear right away or even completely within the year, but this year long potato experience is a monumental tool that offers people like you and I and countless others a sort of shining hope amidst the darkness.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for all that you have done Andrew. You have helped inspire sooo many folks to change their lives for the better and I will be forever proud to be a lifelong fellow spuddie right alongside you! Much love to you, Mandy and Teddy from a fellow Vegan in California. ❤️🥔🌱

Oh wow that's amazing, I'm SO happy for you!! It still feels a bit un-real that I did a year, I'm so impressed that you did it too! We lost almost exactly the same amount of weight! Thanks so much for sharing, let's eat spuds some time and celebrate!

I really admire your raw honesty of it all. So exciting not just for you, but your family and peers. I'm so glad you made it known you're going plant based, and they put it into your final interview...and that you're both irritated over their continuous propaganda over meat and dairy. Your gratuity list was beautiful...I couldn't help but cry with you both. People have been known to promise change within their addictions, and fall flat. You've flourish, and shown how taking it daily with that earnest inspiration is how one can recover, and become healthier. You are proof that drastic simplicity helps make change...it's not complicated...and it's not dangerous. Big hugs to you both... beautiful people.

I started this a week ago and went from 205 lbs to 192 in a week. No more cravings, energy is excellent, (I was eating no oil/plant based meals but with a huge appetite before I started this, I was overeating dense foods, pasta, breads and gaining more and more, ...I needed a reset and this is exactly the prescription. I will be able to eventually get back to regular no oil plant based meals an eat lower density with more satisfaction.
    Awesome progress!

+Spud Fit A very very moving and inspirational final video of your all potato year. I've been following you since last February when I first found out from High Carb Hannah, who at the time was doing a one month potato and veggie challenge on her RUclips channel.
Andrew, you've been just wonderful at getting back to me, and to all the people who left comments. You are, and were, a very busy man yet you found the time to respond to each and every one of us. For that, I want to express my gratitude to you for not only your commitment to keep your challenge resolution, but to also think enough of your viewers and followers to care to take the time out of your busy life to take care of all of us:-)
Happy New Year to you and your wonderful family, Andrew!! All my best in the new year for you as I'm assuming you'll now follow a whole foods, plant-based eating lifestyle. Thank you and spud up:-)

I love watching you and your wife together. Make more videos with the two of you together. Her support was imperative in your journey. I love her feisty personality. Regarding the "professionals" on TV - they have never been where you were Andrew. If "moderation" was so easy, we wouldn't have an obesity epidemic. Your journey (Phase 1) has been wonderful to watch. You have been real the whole way through. 2017 brings in Phase 2 and more videos to watch. Happy New Year ~ Happy New You!

What a great video. You two are wonderful and your willingness to be so transparent and vulnerable in sharing your story is what will touch the hearts of so many. Oh yes and the 117 pounds lost is a tremendous success and powerful headline. Headlines get people's attention so they are very important but headlines don't change lives your willingness to tell your story and to just be yourself as you share this journey is what's touching and changing lives around the world. Your parents must be so proud of you.. I know I'm just a stranger but I'm very proud of you. You stayed the course and proved that the so called experts don't always know what their talking about. I thank God that you did. You are an inspiration to me. God bless you both.

I agree with your reaction to the second interview ha. I'm on a bit of an unusual diet. I eat nothing but rice or noodles (all cooked at home - no meat or dairy). A couple eggs on each weekday. Been doing it for over three months now and i'm losing weight. Most people would frown at it though b/c it's heavy carb.

    very good inspiration!
i first saw ur 1st day video and then i jumped to this after finished watching that one
so I've been doing a lot types of crazy diets and none of them worked permanently!
    like mostly are yoyo diets
i go to the gym like 4-5 days a week
and i was thinking of taking eggs or potatoes diet but because I'm not a fan of hard boiled egg i mean i prefer sunny side up or scrambled egg
lol that's not important to know but yeah i personally so much prefer potatoes and i definitely would give this one a try!
but there's some problems that i would need to ask u about
how to go through with like...
"ur having a reunion dinner with ur family which u haven't met for a year
there supposed to have meals at some sort of restaurants well thank God I'm not a fan of seafood but i mean that we can't bring outside foods to a restaurant
so how can i bring potatoes with me to the restaurant?"
sorry for the long comments 😅
I've liked and subscribed to ur vids and channel :)

Most restaurants have potatoes, just ring before you go and ask them to make some plain boiled or baked spuds for you. I never had anyone say no. If they don say no then just eat your spuds in the car park and then sit at the table with everyone and have a drink.

It's wonderful to see such authentic people in a world filled with shallowness and BS, so touching! Congratulations on your amazing success over the last year, and with all you learned and shared, I know you will stay the course even if you have to watch your own videos for inspiration! lol Every day is a gift and a new challenge to embrace and learn from, and even though it isn't always easy, we can only strive to do our best. You are a shining example! Thank you so much for sharing your inspirational story with us every step of the way and being the thoughtful, inveterate teacher.
PS... Channel 10's crap is a perfect example of reactionary, desperate, attempts to preserve the $$$ status quo and pathetically transparent. S.A.D. (pun intended...it can apply to Australia too!) The saddest thing is people will still believe them...but your efforts over the last year took a nice chunk out of that! Love to you all and looking forward to seeing your big event! LOTS of video I hope, and more to come!

Awwww, now you've made me cry! You are both awesome and a beautiful couple. Been following you from NZ ever since you hit the news here, too. So proud of you, Andrew! Whatever the next step is, keep going forward believing in yourself - you've proven you've got what it takes!

Good luck in 2017, congratulations on your success and completing your goal. I'm sure you can coach your wife to not interrupt every comment you have, because it is annoying.

So I thought I heard you mention earlier this year that you were still having some beer during a least the early part of the challenge. Do you still drink some beer with the potatoes?
