Barrie McKay had an outstanding 2015/16 campaign under Mark Warburton's high flying Rangers! After being released by Kilmarnock in 2011 after seven years at the club's youth setup due to an injury problem, McKay was snapped up by Rangers and immediately made an impact in the under 19 side finishing top goalscorer. McKay made his first team debut for Rangers as a late substitution against St Johnstone on the last day of the 2011/12 season in what would turn out to be Rangers last game in the top flight for four years. He was then a regular starter for Rangers in the fourth tier of Scottish football after their demotion. He scored the first goal of the club's journey back to the top flight and finished the 2012/13 campaign with four goals and fifteen assists. He was then loaned out for the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons to Morton and Raith Rovers and his future at Rangers was then uncertain but since the appointment of Mark Warburton at Rangers he has been given a chance and has flourished under his attacking, possession style of play. Barrie finished the 2015/16 season as Rangers young Player of the Year with nine goals and thirteen assists including a sensational strike against bitter rivals Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden and was later called up to the Scotland squad. He made his Scotland debut as a substitute against France. McKay was nominated for the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award and won the PFA Scotland Goal of the Season award.

He's brilliant. I'm a Celtic fan, but you have to appreciate talent like this, when he scored that goal in the semi against us, your like ".....fair do's." :P I reckon he should be in the regular Scotland squad too, along with Ryan Gauld, Jack Harper, Kieran Tierney, etc. If they were in the team, I think we'd start doing much better.

Nonsense, you made a statement about a player that has been playing in the 2nd tier of Scottish football should be a regular for Scotland. He has been found out this season, no where near good enough I'm afraid and as for jack Harper he doesn't merit a place just because he used to play for Madrid he needs to show form consistently it's not football manager we are playing. Ryan Gauld was in the sporting B team the whole of last season no more needs said.
David I want so much for Harper and Gauld to be in the national team, mate. But, and I don't think its too hard to see, McKay is a very good footballer and I wouldn't say hes been found out at all, to be fair. Rangers seem to have made a slow start to their season, McKay is consistently one of their best players. Im a Celtic fan, don't say this lightly.

Barrie is a great player he is only a young lad he will make mistakes just like everybody else but he doesn't play like a normal scotsman he has skill and flair like a Brazilian. He will b worth a few pound in a few year.
I think there's plenty Scottish players with that talent. The problem is they get it hammered out of them by agricultural coaches. We need to encourage this kind of talent.

Hardie is the real deal learns from Miller in how to judge his movement and play off the shoulder of defender and he will become world class, has a great touch good feet, rapid and a natural finisher think he has great shot in doing big things in the game and earning a big move

Just now probably around £1m. However after another season or two of regular football in spl for Rangers with his regular good performances and maybe a few more Scotland Caps no reason why he couldn't become around £6-10m
