    Longtime college music theory professor retired in 2017. Don't let anybody tell you what to call your pieces, they're yours. You can call this a symphony if you want! For some reason I would like to hear it in three beats per measure instead of 4, did you try it that way?

    of course you're free to name your pieces whatever you like, but this piece doesnt sound like a barcarolle at all to me

    Barcarolles have several characteristics you didnt include
    Usually they are in compound time
    The melody is in thirds or sixths
    The left hand has to emphasize some kind of wave motion

    To be a barcarole it need to be a compound measure
