I always come back to this version of Pirates at 55:45. I misheard the lyrics and thought it was an inspirational song. "You are still walking," like, your life isn't over and you're still making progress. Reminds me of the time a kind older man with a thick accent skipped his lunch break to reassure me that my life wasn't over, just because my job wasn't working out. I hope he knows he made a difference that day.

Typically I don't write comments, but I have to say I really love this. I've heard their music for a couple of months now (started in April of 2021), and I fell in love. I'm a huge sucker for references (and honestly, who isn't?). The drawing, the music, the calmness of it all really makes me feel like I'm at home. I'm very grateful to have found them.
I know Gangbusters just dropped but I'm already lookin forward to the next album, Hopefully the other XXXXXs are in there I especially love the return to the Panic vibe in the unlabelled tracks from 34:00 to 37:00

This mix is so strange to me. I've been listening to it since it came out in 2020. Sometimes, it's calming. Sometimes, it makes me so sad. Sometimes, I feel called to do an impromptu dance. It's like a mood board for me. Regardless of my mood, though, I'm excited to come back and take another pass at it.
I saw them live in January 2020 and then when this dropped I was here for the whole livestream and it was great to have the band interacting with everyone. Your comment has made me nostalgic now haha

It's both amusing and frustrating how my favorite Caravan Palace song is now just XXXXX. There's just something about the first XXXXX that resonates with me, and I'd listen to it for hours if I could, just that bit extended with the mix of CP's chill electronic vibes, the guitar, the slight resonance giving it the almost sleepy feel.... it's just so good.

59:00 - I guess this one is still unreleased? I was looking at music from the 40s earlier today and came across "Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall" by The Ink Spots, and it looks like this unnamed track samples that song! I heard the line "Blues in their heart" and was like, isn't that from that Caravan Palace song? And I just spent like an hour trying to find the song only to see it's an unreleased track lmao. But I kinda love it, noticing references and samples in other things. Makes everything feel connected, sometimes in strange ways. Last year I saw Fiddler on the Roof for the first time only to be smacked in the face with the realization that Gwen Stefani's "If I Were a Rich Girl" is based on the musical's "If I Were a Rich Man." So cool to learn where each artist draws their inspirations and see how it differs from the source material. Creative people are lovely

I had a similar experience! I heard the classic jazz tune Ain't Misbehavin' for the first time a few months ago and almost fell out of my chair when I recognized the piano solo that was sampled for Maniac.
I recognized that part as Ella Fitzgerald and the Ink Spots, and even the song name when I first heard it, haha. Glad to know I wasn't the only one who connected the sample! The Ink Spots, the Mills Brothers, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong and many others are really good. The Ink Spots and Mills Brothers are the really big ones for the time though.

After finding this playlist about a year ago and listening to it obsessively since. Im very happy to see Vila Rose (21:45) and Portobello(5:12) be promoted to full relase status! I say congrats to those two. Now that i know some of these songs may be relesed in the future i put my hopeful votes on songs i personally would love to see in the future would be the ones at 33:56 and 36:30. Amazing new album yall its definitely gonna be in my main music selection for atleast 6 months.

Also I just wanna say I've always been a fan of the more chill songs in your repertoire! Been listening since your debut album and you guys just have such a way with music. I don't know how you @CaravanPalace feel about it, but Sydney is without a doubt one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. That clarinet at the end takes me to the most calm, serene place my mind can achieve, it's unmatched by any other song. Sometimes I wish that that song will be the last song I hear as I pass on into the void, because it makes me feel like everything is going to be alright. Thank you for all your hard work. 2020 after chilling with caravan Palace: So, I left and the year just began
This mix is so strange to me. I've been listening to it since it came out in 2020. Sometimes, it's calming. Sometimes, it makes me so sad. Sometimes, I feel called to do an impromptu dance. It's like a mood board for me. Regardless of my mood, though, I'm excited to come back and take another pass at it.

It's both amusing and frustrating how my favorite Caravan Palace song is now just XXXXX. There's just something about the first XXXXX that resonates with me, and I'd listen to it for hours if I could, just that bit extended with the mix of CP's chill electronic vibes, the guitar, the slight resonance giving it the almost sleepy feel.... it's just so good.

I was looking at music from the 40s earlier today and came across "Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall" by The Ink Spots, and it looks like this unnamed track samples that song! I heard the line "Blues in their heart" and was like, isn't that from that Caravan Palace song? And I just spent like an hour trying to find the song only to see it's an unreleased track lmao.
But I kinda love it, noticing references and samples in other things. Makes everything feel connected, sometimes in strange ways. Last year I saw Fiddler on the Roof for the first time only to be smacked in the face with the realization that Gwen Stefani's "If I Were a Rich Girl" is based on the musical's "If I Were a Rich Man." So cool to learn where each artist draws their inspirations and see how it differs from the source material. Creative people are lovely

I had a similar experience! I heard the classic jazz tune Ain't Misbehavin' for the first time a few months ago and almost fell out of my chair when I recognized the piano solo that was sampled for Maniac.
I recognized that part as Ella Fitzgerald and the Ink Spots, and even the song name when I first heard it, haha. Glad to know I wasn't the only one who connected the sample! The Ink Spots, the Mills Brothers, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong and many others are really good. The Ink Spots and Mills Brothers are the really big ones for the time though.

I don't know how you @CaravanPalace feel about it, but Sydney is without a doubt one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. That clarinet at the end takes me to the most calm, serene place my mind can achieve, it's unmatched by any other song. Sometimes I wish that that song will be the last song I hear as I pass on into the void, because it makes me feel like everything is going to be alright.
