I run Internet radio from an old PC. The ads are maddening…when I dial in the station I get a Lowe’s ad…change the channel I get another Lowe’s ad…change back to the first station and I have to listen to the same Lowe’s ad again!

Sort of like a shortwave but a lot easier. Sounds like a lot of fun!

Another awesome video review. I hope to pick up an Internet radio at some point. Exploring different regions would be fun.

Thanks for the video, I have a PURE Evoke.the Ocean Digital product looks very good. I have had an internet radio for over 2 years. It has internet radio, spotify, media player to link with your NAS, DAB radio, FM radio, Bluetooth and AUX. I have it permanently connected to my sound system. The Ocean Digital is very similar. I also have it connected to an app on my phone called UNDOK which allows you full control from your mobile. It is amazing how many stations you can tune into.

I am a huge fan of internet radios. I have been dealing with them since 2011. I don't have an Ocean Digital yet, but I recently bought a C. Crane. As I understand it, both of them use the music server Skytune.

I knew there was something I liked about you, I did I.T. For 45 years before I retired, IBM mainframe stuff though, big iron. What we do, is yes we have Sirius/xm, but only stream through the internet anymore, since our car does not have the radio. My wife is hooked on Tom Petty Radio. Me I like the Jazz stations. Stream through our phones, or smart speakers.

I have never owned an internet radio. This looks like something I would really like. It really sucks that it’s only one speaker though. I wonder if Ocean Digital makes a stereo version?

Yes they have those and component systems as well - we have reviewed many.

I don’t have an internet radio like the internet radios you have reviewed because I am blind and there is no setting to have the menus read out loud. I do listen to internet radio on a device called a victor reader stream which is accessible for blind people.

First, to pronounce "Belarus" is not "be-lair-us", it is "Bel-la-roos". As for the question presented in the video - Yes! I do have internet radio in the form of the much, much higher-end Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition DAC/streamer. Not only can I tune into internet radio with that thing, but I can also play music stored locally on my music server, I can rip CDs directly into the thing (I have 4 terabytes of SSD storage installed in it), I can stream from services like Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, Apple Music, Amazon, etc, as well as use it as an external DAC through which I have my CD player hooked up. It can play high resolution lossless files, such as FLAC up to 386/32 bit. I can also control it via a remote control as well as an app on my iPad. I have a few favorite internet radio stations I found. PRM (ProgRockMetal) and Progulus (Progressive/Power Metal and Prog Rock) both here in the US. Then I have Radio Bob! Symphonic Metal from Germany, then Radio Caprice - Progressive Metal out of Russia, and Prog Palace Radio's The Armory (power and prog metal) out of Canada and finally Prog Palace Radio's The Courtyard (Progressive rock) also out of Canada. I am quite certain I can find more if I really dig around. I may have to explore Japanese as well as Scandinavian stations as metal is actually quite huge in those countries. I know Japan has some interesting stuff I need to check out. This is especially nice as the local FM radio just does not play the music I REALLY want to listen to. Yeah, we have a good Classic Rock station here in town, but I've heard most of those songs so much over my life and it is so awesome to be able to find much, much more out there than the typical mainstream fare that is on things like FM radio. I have to agree with what this video is saying, Internet radio is really worth exploring and you can find some pretty decent internet radio streamers for not much much money. That Ocean Digital gear is actually really good for the price. The unit shown in this video can be had on Amazon for about $95. If you want something a little nicer in a component format to put in your audio rack, there is the WR10 for about $200. My Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition is a bit more expensive at $1,300. However you do it, there literally is an entire world out there to explore! Oh yeah, also forgot to mention! NO FRIGGAN COMMERCIALS!!!!!
