Chopping Corn on the 4th of July

I still can't believe we're chopping corn silage on July 4th. Every year is different. Most years we aren't chopping until the last week of July into the first week of August, but this year, Mother Nature had other plans in mind.
With rain chances in the forecast, we're certainly hoping for some rain. A storm started building south of us toward the end of the day which gave us some great cloud coverage and a nice break from the harsh heat. We were just crossing our fingers for some rain.
*Side Note - My jeep is fine. After a closer look, we just need some new trim clips. We can laugh about it now.
