I’m in Minnesota and have grown my corn (35) acres the same way for 6 seasons now and haven’t had any problems yet,, producing 3 corn cribs(16 ft round each) full.,,,getting it all done with a 856, have a great day
That’s awesome! Yeah definitely cool that it worked this year. Our corn at home is fertilized and sprayed. We don’t have enough manure to do this. Sounds like a good yield and gotta love a good ole 856!
Appears to be a beautiful farm operation. Love all the older red tractors. All the barns, silos, etc. Has to be a lot of fun in spite of all the hard work.
It’s very cool how well it grew especially this being the first time trying it. My corn at home is sprayed and fertilized cause I don’t have enough cattle to use just manure. But I’m glad these guys are able to pull it off!
hello sir I'm a new subscriber and thought I'd take a look at your video and I liked it , I love watching them old RED tractors work , it's much better than watching the new stuff all the time , I don't farm any more , but back in the 70's and 80's that's was what we used
Howdy! Thanks for stopping by! Glad I could bring some entertainment! I do enjoy running older tractors. My favorite we have has to be the 856. Very nice all around tractor. I love them all but for sure the most comfortable is the 8300.
Thank you! And thanks for watching! They are good ole work horses. Crazy how fast they go with 34” rubber.. mine aren’t painted up like these but they run just as nice!
Was wondering if there is any nutritional value to the corn stalks that are that dried out? I know that there is in the what my grandfather who farmed in South Dakota called dent corn, in the mix? He just picked it with a M and two row corn picker McCormick and plowed it under later. I produce horse hay in Snohomish Washington using a 966, Hydro 70, 656 hydro, SMTA and a 400. They all have there job to do.
It seemed like this stuff was gonna be too dry. But the variety that was selected was a slow dry down variety so it held moisture extremely well. Fermented nicely. Our corn at home was drier yet and still turned out nice in the bag. Very cool on the line up of rigs! We don’t have any letter tractors anymore. Smallest one we have is an 806 now and that might go down the road too.
Worked dairy farms back in the 60s filling silo was my favorite time guy I worked for had Gehl equipment white tractors was nice to see this thank you from London ont.
The red tractors are awesome 👌

It’s a really pretty operation! Very nice to work back and forth with them. All the IHs have a ton of hours on them. Thanks for watching!
Love the natural corn like that. Nothing but manure and time

Some nice tractors.
Thank you sir! They try to keep them up nicely. All have very high hours too. Thanks for watching!
Sweet rides you have there.
Thank you! Only the 8300
Is ours, but we work closely back and forth with this farm.
Retired dairy producer now in CA. It is missed ( a little). Stay safe. The secret to organic is ready access to and liberal use of livestock. Yea Haa!
Howdy from Wisconsin! Thanks for tuning in! You got it though, have to manage things properly! Thanks for watching!
Nice bunch of international tractors
Thank you! It’s fun to watch them keep motoring on year after year. Paid for themselves over and over.
Pulled a disc many miles with 1466
Back on the dairy farm use a super m in a 600 blower on 70 ft silo
That had to be a sight! Slow and steady

I am from Pennsylvania farmer I was wondering since that corn is died off and dry like that dk you put it into. Tmr mixer cause it not green anymore
Howdy! Seems to be alright cows like it and are milking well on it. Not ideal but we couldn’t get in the field
Why is it so dry? The silage
We couldn’t get into the field till it froze. We had 17” of rain between September and then. We tried one time and got absolutely buried
Is that ,14 yours
Do you still dairy?
Yep this farm is still milking around 90 cows. They are like family, and we help each other out.
Very cool
@@johnoncken1757 thank you! It’s fun to help and be apart of 1 of only 5 left in our county. Thanks for watching!

That corn is way to dry to make "proper ensilage". I guess the cows will eat it anyway. Better than nothing.
Garbage in garbage out
@@twicepaidfor8248 yep! Just like us!
Silage is dry
Corn. Silage stored in a. Himoisture unit harvesters. What
Yes. Stored in an HMC unit. The unloader has been changed to a Hercules and it works good.
Do you still have a dairy?
Wow lot of waste
Thank you! We try!
It’s still GMO… corn…. Nothing organic about GMO
