@@melarevanco what does that mean
@@jacobee1876 roll on floor laughing my a## off
Bdjdjzkbxjbdjbsibzz true xD
Lol yeah
The story explained, with the hidden, AMAZING, plot twist.
So lets start from the begining, second era. As you problably know, Celebrimbor is the lord of Eregion and a great smith.
Sauron, disguised as Annatar, convinces Celebrimbor to make the rings of power. But Celebrimbor creates the 3 elven rings in secret leaving them untoched by Saurons coruption. When Sauron finds out he sacks Eregion and caputures Celebrimbor with family.
So far it is all clear and covered(true to lore) by existing lore, but now the hidden twist beginns. Sauron tortures Celebrimbor, because he needs his skill prefect the one ring. In the cutscene "concealed power" (I think its called), we see Sauron trying to mind control Celebrimbor. We are supposed to believe he succedes, as Celebrimbors eyes flash blue and he submits to Saurons will.
But! For anyone who have played the game, Saurons influence has always had a golden red colour, and Celebrimbors influence, blue. His eyes flashed blue. Also, just as the ring is done, Celebrimbor snags it without any sign of internal power struggle. What does this mean? Celebrimbor was under no influence other than his own when prefecting the ring.
After stealing the ring, Celebrimbor creates an army of orcs, just like in the game, but with the ring this time, making him immensly powerful. He charges at Sauron and almost succedes in killing him, but the ring betrays him and he fails.
This cutscene is called the "bright master". The description says "instead of a dark lord, you would have light" (something like that). That is almost exactly what Galadriel says, when she explains to frodo, why she cant have the ring. "Terrible as dawn" She hints at the fact that she would become evil and a master/mistress. Gandalf also confirmes that using the ring in an attempt to gain power will corrupt you. Yet Celebrimbor is leading an army against the dark lord, equipped with the ring!
In the end, Sauron kills Celebrimbor and his family.
Later in the third era, Talion is killed in an ritual to bind him to Celebrimbors wraith. Why? More on that later.
Anyway, Talion and Celebrimbor are joined. Talion states that he just wants to die, but Celebrimbor says they need to kill the black hand, because the "curse" is stopped by revenge. This is a lie.
Gollum appears. He calls Celebrimbor the bright master and says he came to him in dreams. Talion wants to kill Gollum but Celebrimor says he cant. He shows alot of interest in Gollum. And Gollum in him. But what is the only thing Gollum wants? Could that have been promised in a dream perhaps?
Gollum fetches the items that bring the visions back to Celebrimbor.
"My power grows which each vision!"
Remember that?
Celebrimbor lies about his memory loss. He only needs the items/vision to regain power. Power to become the Lord of "his" rings. Yep thats what this is about.
Talion becomes more and more wraithlike. All the abilities you gain are the signs. His eyes flashing blue when you unlock one. Just like branded orcs...
Everthing Talion does is commanded by Celebrimbor. He is a pawn, a vessel. Talion sometimes asks about the morality of their actions. "This power, to control their minds, its not natural, its evil"
Celembrimbor always replies with it being necessary, and how they must "use the power of the enemy against them".
Wrong! Using evil power and mind control is STRICTLY for forbidden in LOTR, we all know that! Evil power can never be wielded. Celembrimbor wearing the ring is another proof of his evil, as the ring corrupts the wielder!
Every attempt Talion does to interact with humans (and dwarves) is ill advised by Celebrimbor, and he akwardly has to reject his natural allies, as they could disturb the plan of the bright master.
The Tower boss is the very manifestation of the plot. You sneak up on the truth. The tower explains to Talion how Celebrimbor tricked him, how Celebrimbor is not bound to him, and could leave anytime. He has been a pawn. Just like Gollum. And Marwen. And the warchiefs. The game hints it with the very foundation of the gameplay.
And lastly why? And who is the black hand? Sauron ofc. Would they create an main enemy who says 3 lines and have no personality whats so ever? No, they have sauron, a powerful illusionist. In the description of the black hand it says "the master of lies". In the final scene Celebrimbor and Sauron fights in their minds. Celebrimbors plan all along was to absorb saurons/ the black hands power and become the lord of the rings. Sauron summoned Celebrimbor in the first place with the same plan. To let talion and Celembrimbor become powerful and then absorb their power. Thats why he is so confident even when his armies are dead. If sauron or Celembrimbor won is unclear, but talion is under an evil power, most likley Saurons, as his eyes flash red in the end.
Talion will end up as an servant of evil because, just like in Far Cry 3, thats what you became during the game. In the late game you slaughtered orcs and controlled their minds without thought. You became the evil you wanted revenge on. Same as far cry, revenge makes you as bad.

Actually for me to war chief were easy So this is going to be a piece a cake
Exactly , This is the only weakness I found in this great game
Who has a branded warchief I do
After fighting "The hammer" I was scared shiatless about fighting the tower and the black hand. However I was very shocked with how they ended this game on such an easy note. Am I disappointed? A bit, but also grateful they didn't make the ending needlessly tedious.
As someone who defeated the hammer with ease and haven't reached the end yet, I'm hoping the black hand and tower are more difficult
@@AwesomeyFox Seems I remember it getting easier, not harder. Great game though
The boss fights were easy, but you gotta admit, the atmosphere for the tower boss fight is just perfect.
"Its time for a new ring" so dope, they better make a sequel man
Gabriel Pingree just got it in the mail. :P
Had to look up the ending because I wasn't able to finish the game due to a glitch that stopped me from continuing on.
Heh heh heh

Most savage line in game gaming history you can really tell Tailion didn't give a fuck at that point anymore
skyhero223 He wanted to die, mate.
grow the fck up
I mean he is already dead
Could you really rest for all of eternity, knowing that you had a chance to stop him but did nothing . Best moment in whole game.
Poor Tower missing his lips entirely, his dry-mouth must feel excruciating all this time, no wonder he died so easily, Talion killing him must have been a god-send, an act of mercy
I was expecting more when i'm going to fight the tower and the black hand.
Exactly how I felt, was kinda weak. Was expecting an epic battle with Sauron throughout the whole game.
@@OneManWolfPack66 Shadow of War gives us that fight
Way more. I'm disappointed tbh.
The end game of this game felt so rushed.
Better it feel a bit rushed and anticlimactic than have a Force Unleashed moment when you for real fight the for real archvillain and curb stomp him in front of God and his Dad Starkiller style.
The ending felt rushed and anticlimactic in my opinion
@@loganwilcox7212 because shadow of war was coming thats why
Not rushed. It was a bit changed.
"Could you really rest for all of eternity, knowing that you had the chance to stop him but did nothing?"
A very underrated phrase IMO which still has a very important mark on me even after all these years.
Left a mark on Celebrimbor, too.
i think the thought process behind this was that the last boss needed to be more about story than an actual battle, i mean the black hand became an avatar for sauron, you really think you could defeat that? sauron would have crushed Talion. the fight with the tower was suspenseful and kept me on edge the whole time and the battle against the hammer tested my swordsmanship. the three boss fights went through three types of gaming and i found it to be very entertaining. if you want a challenging boss fight, go into a stronghold and just fling yourself at orcs until the alarms are sounded and 5 captains and 2 war chiefs with 3 bodyguards show up.
why does everyone keep talking about a fight with the tower, am i missing something? the 'fight' with the tower was just stealth branding him 3 times and you won...not including cutscenes it took all of about 30 seconds
the focus should have been game play first, then story, considering it's a video game. especially when the story wasn't the strongest aspect in the first place. secondly, what you said doesn't make much sense, because they easily could have made these bosses harder and still used the exact same cut scenes. talion literally drifted through sauron's kingdom like a light breeze, and annihilates him about as quick as it takes you to finish reading this sentence. with all of the preamble leading up to this final battle (infiltrating sauron's ranks, building your own army, acquiring all of these talents and learning all of these various combat skills), you'd figure they'd put just as much thought into the final two boss battles rather than have all of these aspects reduced to being merely mechanics for standard combat against orcs. these are supposed to be means that lead to an end, as a final culmination of what you've acquired throughout the game. instead it fell completely and totally flat on its face.
+Perry D Fight with the Tower? bitch where? I must have missed that. I would be fine with them wanting to make the ending more about story than an actual bossfight, had there actually been a story. This game did a lot of things great, but telling a compelling story was definitely not one of those things. This felt like Eragon the movie. It was just that awful. I have never cared less about characters than in this game.
Honestly getting a rune that allowed me to use that execution power which made the hammer just spam F which was boring.
@@mrskinszszs You grow stronger as Celebrimbor. Makes sense the boss battles become easy.
Overall the gameplay was great. Nemesis system was very unique, but the missions got extremely boring. There were also times where I felt a little overpowered. I hope they expand the middle earth game franchise and bring us to a new location as well as a new character. I'd love to be a rider of Rohan with more variety of environments, and Jesus I want to fight in the battle at Helms Deep. Make this happen Monolith.
Or the battle at the black gate
Or they have to make a full lotr game
I love the ending. This game is my favorite game of 2014 and one of my favorite games of all time. I'm a big LOTR fan and I'm currently Reading the books. I think that this game is still underrated. Gosh that ending line. Troy Baker man, Troy Baker.

i love the small detail that foreshadows talion's fate in shadow of war.. look closely at his eyes and they are orange for a short time... fast forward to Shadow of War ending he picks up a nazgul's ring and his eyes turn orange 12:29 is where his eyes are visibly orange
If only Talion heeded Celebrimbor's advice and passed on... Literally nothing notable would have changed, Celebrimbor wouldn't have betrayed Talion and fused with Sauron, and no new ring would be made!
Yep. That could have been even canon, if we only consider the movies.
If he did that then no one would hold down Mordor for 20 years till Bilbo destroys the ring. If Talion passed on the all orcs would rally under Witchking and other Nazguls while Sauron would launch his unstoppable army at rest of Middle earth. So yes, if Talion gave up at that moment then entire Middle Earth would be under Saurons will.
But Sauron would’ve invaded a lot sooner. He needed to be held back to give the rest of Middle Earth time to mobilize and destroy the ring.
Just so you know, in the battle where the Ring leaves Celebrimbor is completely accurate. The Ring betrays him it has a will to get back to ts master, Sauron. Talion was able to kill the BlackHand because Celebrimbor was able to stun Sauron/BlackHand long enough for Talion. He was dying not dead. This Game is one of the Best!!!
i love how celembribor says to talion that its finished
and then."Could you really rest for all eternity knowing that you had the chance to stop him,but did nothing?"and then celembribor looks to the left and he just leaves
he looks at the mount doom bro
@@SilverHand619 alright so?
@@Manofculturee mount doom is the place which they will make a new ring in shadow of war. he kinda showed talion the way IMO
Honestly, The Tower was far scarier than any other enemy in Shadow of Mordor or Shadow of War.
I have to say, I do agree the ending is bad. Really bad. Like, at the point of not being satisfying at all. But it really dosn't ruin the game as a whole. Atleast not for me. I still appreciate the game for it's excellent gameplay and it's nemesis system, like I did on my way to the very last mission. And I still enjoy the game at the fullest running around creating a story of my own and rivalries. I really can't despise the game just for its ending. I would still recommend it to everyone and it might just be my favorite game in a long, long time.
I can understand that Tolkienfans and lore enthusiasts are greatly dissapointed, but calling this "The worst game of 2014"? I highly disagree.
Def. Worst Boss Fight of 2014

I found the final boss a little disappointing, being a quick time event and all. I really love that piece at the end. (Could you really rest?)
Exactly, so much stuff we went through the game and in the end, the big boss is a quicktime event -.-
DragonInferno99 Ω I'm talking about the main campaign final boss. (The Black Hand) The Sauron boss fight in The Bright Lord DLC was really good, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

My only major problem with this ending was that the Black Hand himself wasn't a boss.
The QTE could be used to dispel Sauron's spirit, sure, but imagine Talion then having to fight the Black Hand, man to man, without Celebrimbor's help. Just two men fighting to the death.
Then once it's done Celebrimbor is able to bond with Talion again, and then we have the ending as it was here.
I honestly think Talion is the Mouth Of Sauron. You can clearly see at the end, Talion's eyes glow red (like Sauron's in the cut scenes). The Mouth is of Man species so it could be possible. I know Shadow of Mordor isn't really Tolkien Cannon, but I consider it Peter Jackson cannon. Any thoughts???
The mouth is a black numenorian so not likely
Hmmm true.
***** Plus the Mouth is ancient AND featured in one of the artifact memories.
if the witcher 3 had combat like this, it would have been the game of the century
The moment the black hand suicided I was like YO WTF ARE YOU DOING MAN!?
One of the most underwhelming final bosses that I've ever fought.
When it comes to open-world and replayability, Shadow Of War wins.
But Shadow Of Mordor is better on every other level. Story, characters, impact, etc.

12:28 The time has come for a new Ring
The introduction was harder than the final boss fight. But the game was awesome.
Hopefully the next one will have better boss battles, that's the only complaint about this game I have, the final boss was nothing but quick time events, it should have combined stealth and battle.
10:17 this bit gave me chills
" We bow to no one " I saw what you did there
ayyyy same
The towers voice actor was amazing
I remember feeling so disappointed by this end and the lack of bosses . Good thing the second one did not fall short like this one
Fighting warchiefs is much harder than the ending, maybe because tue warchiefs have literal 100 of uruks helping him
I guess Talion became Sauron from the trilogy of LOTR?
No
Nah he became one of the nine servants for Sauron. The nazgul
i don't really get when in the lore this is placed.. bc the men of Gondor man the Black Gate and Minas Ithil stands according to Talion.. this would place it before the hobbit (60-500 years before LOTR) but gollum had the Ring for 500 years and lost it to Bilbo.. so it must be both well before and after the events of the Hobbit...
Edit: the watch seems to have ended 1300 years before the events of the Hobbit. the game however is stated to be between lotr and the hobbit...
9:02 Well that was Fucking Unfortunate
that's what happens if you mess with the dark lord
Fortune has nothing to do with that :P
Leo Hagan I read that the ring call for sauron that's why
his title is funny he said end and then said ending 😂😱😄
Pls tell me I’m not the only one who completed this game in a few days/ weeks
Bcuz I keep seeing people say years of work, my cousin says that as well I asked him if I could borrow it ( he bought me it for Christmas) and when I got mine I finished it in a few days and honestly it’s the best experience than most games I have that have combat~GTA 5, WatchDogs2, Mirrors Edge, and FarCry3~
Years of work? I'm sorry to say this but they must be really bad at it
The fight with Sauron should have been the biggest and the most challenging.
It pains me to say but fuck that was barley a final boss battle, that was a QTE, BUT! I played the game for 25 hours and I loved every second of it so I wont hold this against monolith.
How can The Tower say "time" and "vessel" with no lips? Other words too.
Through the power of video games!!!!

“Oh so thats what it feels like”
A very disappointing ending! VERY! 3 stealth drains and a F...ing quick time event that last a couple of seconds, are your encounters with the last 2 bosses which should have been the most challenging fights in the game and where the devs could have gone berserk with creativity. I really enjoyed the game but i literally couldn't stop cursing at the end. Really, really bad ending. Visually impressive, but very bad non-the-less!!
Damn the tower literally told us the ending for shadow of war and we didn’t even realize that shit lol we just thought he was talking that good shit but nahh the truth hurts as they say

Wait, so Talion is becomes the new Sauron? The one from the movie and the book? PLOT TWIST!
Dude..REALLY? Sauron didn't even die 'D.
Basically, Talion said, we need a new ring, hinting that they should make a NEW ring, after all, Cele was the best ring maker of the 2nd age
Alternate universe time!
No, Sauron was prevented from being able to take physical form - nobody can become Sauron, only like him, he is the embodiment of malice, domination and pain much like Satan in western literature. Talion wants to fight Sauron and may become corrupted, but Sauron is always the same entity.
U got something wrong right there dude....
aka they gonna have a Shadow of Mordor 2 sequel coming later. Milking it hardcore. The fights aren't even fights.... quick time event developers are getting lazy and worst, its sad.
So basically this game's plot argues that Sauron was able to gain physical form BEFORE the LOTR? But Talion defeated that form again so Sauron was forced to continue on as an eye for a little while longer? Eh, I guess I can go with that, but, why do Talion's eyes flash yellow near the end? I doubt he's been possessed by Sauron, maybe he's been corrupted by Sauron's power and now he's become greedy to the point where he desires a new ring to use against Sauron?
He and caribrimbor are gonna forge a new ring. Im guessing middle earth:SOM is gonna be a new trilogy in the middle earth lore.
Next game will probably be called Middle Earth: shadow of the ring or probably just shadow of mordor 2
Celebrimbor soul gives him more strength /energy required to become physical in lotr he doesn't have that
12:32 *Prison break credits start*
Keep up the vids!
I'm not sure I follow. Who was the white haired elf dude who killed Celebrimbor and his family? Sauron in disguise or something? What happened when Talion fought the black hand? Did Sauron briefly possess the black hand? Who was the black hand anyway?
That's Sauron without his armor on, and before he made the ring. He's actually very tall according to lore.
Celebrimbor uses the ring against Sauron, as you see in the vision. But, the ring will always answer to his master. We see this happen to Gollum and Frodo. The ring will betray anyone to return to his master. So the ring betrayed Celebrimbor and returned to Sauron. Sauron then proceeded to kill Celebrimbor's family, before killing him. Notice how this is the same way Talion died, hence creating the connection. After that, he sees that the men and elves are winning the fight, and goes down there to fight them himself, where Isildur cuts off the ring from his hand.
Sauron is weak. He has neither the ring, nor the ringmaker, so he uses the black hand as a medium. This is seen in Return of the King, where The Black Hand (obviously not the one we see here, because he is dead) talks to Aragorn and the others on behalf on Sauron. Anyone, The black hand sacrifices himself to Sauron, allowing him to take form in a body. The plan was to use Celebrimbor and return Sauron to full strength, but Talion and Celebrimbor fought back. Killing the black hand, Sauron has neither body or ring, so manifests himself as the eye.
The volcano is active again, signaling Sauron's return to Mordor, as from this point on the events of LoTR start. Gollum (still searching for the ring in Mordor), is captured and tortured for a long time. He eventually says the words "Baggins, Shire", sending the ring wraiths to the shire.
look like dem black handz love sauron's fashionable armor ether that or sauron left the door to his armory open xD
at first i was confused if the black hand manifested sauron through himself when he took celibrimbor (or how ever you spell his name) but when i looked closer i saw sauron's armor was blueish and so thats when i realized omfg it's still the black hand but looking sexier lol
I personally think the hardest boss of this game was the first one rest were easy as pie xD
Thomas Lindstrøm I faced a orc war chief who had a shield and was invulnerable to range, stealth and special moves, he could also kill me in one shot. good job i hunted down his body guards first our id be boned!
Never have I ever cared less about a story, and from the looks of it, neither have Talion and Celebrimbor
Lmao i had to look the ending up to make sure I really did best the game
so did talions body get possesed by the black hand or sauron?
Neither.
so what shenanigans happened?
Sauron called out Celebrimbor to take physical form once again.
but talions alive?
at the end i mean
I just sat there after completing yesterday in shock, spent all that time raising my armys levels and branding every captain, bodyguard and warchief then finally thought well may as well get this epic battle going but by the time we hit the tower....only 5 guys turned up and died swiftly. yep disappointing ending indeed also seems uruks have union breaks :(
did you play the Bright Lord DLC? that has a bad-ass final boss
I was hoping that Talion would finally get to rest after all that he'd been through. It's a petty that he doesn't.
The Tower was an interesting boss. Not your usual button smash, and the atmosphere was truly scary. The black hand however was disappointing. A bunch of easy quick events. And Sauron was not much better in SoW. With the exception of the final phase it was just doing the same move a million times. Fight like those aren't hard. They are annoying. At least the Witch King had some variety and challenge worthy to be a "final boss".

Nope, that is Sauron in Maiar form. He is named Annatar in the elf looking form, his race, strictly speaking, is Ainur (holy ones).
CSxDeity his original name as Maia is actually Mairon (the admirable) :)
he gave himself the name of Annatar (along with a couple of other names) to make sure the elves wouldn't recognise him :)
This has nothing to do with the books does it?
It is talking creative license for sure, but celebrimbor is actually Canon. He did create the rings of power and did die by sauron
if you kill the boss you can continue killing orcs or you have to start again from the beginning?
just beat it. what does it mean when it says "it is time for a new ring." does it mean belecomber is in control of talions body?
Lol belecomber
i’ve never seen celebrimbors (i’m guessing it’s him) name be butchered so badly before 😭
Ghost vs Demon
Why is Celebrimbor almost transparent in SoM but in SoW he’s ghost like
I still haven't figured out the ending did Talion turn evil or something? what was with the glowing eyes, or was he possessed by the black hand now free of Saurons influence?
He was corrupted by power.
Deathbuster 108 might be cool if they make a second game to answer this
If Talion is 6'6 Tower must be over 8 feet (2.4m) tall
Shadow of war hype.
Talion had a chance to die in peace but instead became a slave to Sauron
Captain and Warchiefs are stronger than bosses wtf
So basically Talion is now either corrupted or possessed by Sauron (as shown by the fact his eyes turn the same golden colour as the fair-form Sauron). Well that doesn't make the rest of the game feel like a giant waste of time now does it.
No,his eyes not gold coloured it's just reflection of the Mountain Doom to his eyes.
Except for the fact nothing else is changing colour during that time, just his eyes.
*****
Also he says "Time to make a new Ring". Why would Talion say that? Only Sauron would say such a thing.
*****
but sauron couldn't make a new ring to rival the One Ring (he put too much into the first), so the question is wheter this new ring will be like the other rings of power and ofc if talion is corrupted
Sillies, he is not corrupted by Sauron, he is corrupted by power (I think).
Sooooo, The new Ring's gonna be in the Name of Eru Ilúvatar?

A little disappointed.
I was hoping for a big climactic fight with the Black Hand himself at least.
Instead he just kills himself, Sauron appears and it ends with Tallion, who should have been a lifeless corpse, staring into the middle east.
i just finished this and before this i played mirrors edge catalyst ,couldn't ask for better endings if people get what i mean xD
I was expecting a lil bit more mindfuck to the end XD idk why
