The key to your spare tire is on the key fob but you have to know about this. To release it you have to depress a tiny button on the side of the fob otherwise you might not know that it is there; leaving you with a harder time to access your spare.
I’ve only had my 2019 RST since December and always learning new things about it. Recently found out that it has a turn signal warning if you leave it on too long. And also the turn signal flick lane change goes from 3 blinks to 5 or 6 when in tow mode.
@@user-gj8wo8lq9s I have a 2019 Silverado, and a 2018 Traverse... when you go into the vehicle settings it gives you the option to turn on or off the rear seat reminder. 2020 Silverado RST won’t go in drive or reverse if doors our open. if u knew that and in order to remind u about the back seat open the back door for 5 sec and closed
Kevin, I have a 2020 Silverado 2500HD LTZ Diesel. My question: I have a Mp3 player with a USB cord. When I plug it in to the USB port in my truck, the infotainment system does not recognize the Mp3 player. Can you help me?

You can unlock it then it lowers. I don't believe it's power and can't see how it comes down so softly. I've looked all over it, must be in the hinges.
I have locations saved on my factory installed GPS and it is full and will not let me store more locations. Do you know how to expand so it will store more locations!
Mine says look in your backseat if I have a coat or bag of groceries in the back. I think it's really meant to keep you from accidently leaving a child back there.
I use the myGMC App to start my 2019 GMC Sierra SLT X31 when it's extremely hot or cold out. The heat will warm in cold weather and the a/c will turn on when its warm. The app has a 15-minute countdown before the vehicle turns itself off. Very convenient!
When I first got my truck, I was sitting in a shelter during a rain storm... sat on my keyfob and all my windows came down. I now wear my keys on a carabiner. I believe there is a setting that you can deactivate the window feature too.
Good info.... but please get to the point quick.. don't talk so slow.. this video could have been cut in half, if not more... I would have thumbs up if you did.. Thanks anyway.

The owners manual addresses all these, and more. It even explains why you didn't get the check back seat message. Just read the manual.
😅who does that😆😆
I thought I’d was very well done, thanks for taking the time👍
8:19 hey Kevin I wish you could tell me way the put the driving lights on a different button that doesn't come on when you turn the lights on
Thanks Kevin! I love the roll-the-windows down!!
Dealer showed me but many I encounter don't know about the trailer and sport modes, or other models for 2wd and other trims.
Thanks Kevin
Once you reach 98mph you won't go any faster...
Lol you can change that
thanx for these great tips, my 2021 RST did NOT do the windows when pushing the key control though, cheers
It will. Enable the setting on your infotainment center
Yes it will. You have to activate it on the dash controls under settings
I like the tap the blinker feature too, that turns blinker on for 3 blinks.
How do I do that?
@amyanderson9841 you just bump the blinker wand instead of pushing it all the way where it locks in until you turn. Just bump it :)
If you are on a hill and put the truck in park then shut in off, the parking brake automatically activate.
Thanks for the tips buddy 👍

Hey Brax! Thank you for the support!
The rear seat reminder can be set from the vehicle settings menu.
I think it's chimes when you open and close the backdoor, then drive, I don't think it has a weight sensor in the back seat.

can i disable the auto door locks? when the vehicle is drive position? 2019 silverado z71
Only if you have a scan tool to reprogram

Lol that is funny
Do you have the LTZ trim package (model)?

I have the exact same problem on my 2019 1500 LTZ Texas Edition
Not hidden secrets, just basic knowledge of the truck
Kevin how's that 8 speed transmission treating you?
So far it is really smooth. You can barely feel the shifts.

No not yet. The dealership said it would 2 weeks just to tear it down and diagnose it if they found anything

10 speed, use Manuel L10 or L9, L10 turns off autostop, L9 turns off autostop and DFM. 8 speed same with L8 and L7
Do you pull the fuses and remove them (or put them in a dead circuit storage area/ plug)?
Problem is it doesn’t stay like that. You have to go through those motions every time you turn the truck on?
I just discovered if I press the button on the dash the truck will start
Does the button say START?
That’s good to know, I was popping the clutch all this time
Ya know folks, if ya spend some time to read the owner's manual, you would already be aware of all these & other features.
Really? Why not watch a video also?
Nobody does that , why would you do that 🤣
My 110v dnt seem to work for my 2019. And can't really find the fuse any idea what # it is and which side?
Are you referring to the one on the passenger side? There’s a button that turns it on and off
Hello how do you lock the tailgate?
It should lock whenever you walk away from the truck and lock the doors. As long as the key fob is not near the truck it should not open.

If you rtfm and go through settings, you'd know these things, they aren't hidden....
If you want to have the 12v on the key, instead of always on, slide the fuse over 1 socket. Chevy's been doing that since the 90s.
Glad you said that. I forgot to put it in the video

When you do the steps shown to open the windows with the fob, hit the open button again (3rd time) and they’ll stop going down at that point.
