I just got the bronco in red. I absolutely love it, looks better in person. The mirrors fold in for me every time I rolled. I’ve never had a crawler & was very surprised at what I could get it to climb.

@@0thers1d3 yes, the yellow showed up in local hobby shops (hobby town) in Oregon on Monday. Red showed up on Tuesday.

All traxxas needs to make for it now are; independent front suspension kit (for ultra scale enthusiasts), and release an interior kit too or again, a soft top body option with removable doors!! Personally, I'd love to see those, who else?

I'm sure Traxxas should have done a front independent suspension for the new Bronco. They already have such a car. That would be a great update for the TRX4 and they could produce many more TRX4-based cars with independent front suspension. It could be new Geländewagen, Hummer H2, Ram Rebel TRX, F150 Raptor and something like that.
Tacoma. I want a damm Tacoma but I still prefer solid axel.
If they made the new Ram TRX that would be sooo awesome.

I have the trx4 sport with traxx and just got my B E A utiful red trx4 Bronco. Love it to pieces.
But. It seems that no one wants to mention the cruise control feature or the different settings you can choose from on the esc. Newbies would appreciate this occasionally.. jsn . Love the vids.
BTW...I support my local hobby shop. JT hobby in bc mi.

At first Traxxas said they weren’t for sale until mid June. People were buying these by the end of May.
Traxxas botched the launch by confusing retailers when they could and couldn’t sell them

It doesn't really need Traxxas batterys. A 2-3 dollar Traxxas > Deans/XT adapter will solve it.

At first I figured a slow crawling RC car would be great to start out with because I don't figure I will break it nearly as much as the Traxxas Maxx I also just bought (a few days after).
At least now I have two vehicles, in case one breaks.

I want the 3.3 nitro, but found out it doesn't have reverse in these new models.
Bummer? I suppose. most people didn't like it. I never ran the 2.5 enough as a kid to grenade my tranny with reverse lol.

Yes, I want this. It's mega expensive though, and still lacks an interior. Maybe I'll get one eventually, but until then, I'll continue driving my beautiful Axial SCX10iii.

I would love to have this one but I've already upgraded and customized my 1979 Blazer! Maybe someday I could get this as a second rig.
That 79 looks way more cool, imo. But the new one has all those yummy extra channels/switches.
The 79 Bronco TRX-4 also has diff-locks and a 2-speed transmission.
The only difference is the wheelbase and body

@@unkulwilly The sport and 79 have the same exact wheelbase... The 21 bronco has the same wheelbase as the defender and tactical. The sport wheelbase is 12.3 inches. The defender wheelbase is 12.8 inches.

Yes, go back to where you got it and let them know the issue. The issue isn't their fault necessarily, but they can help pinpoint the problem and get it working properly.
If they need to troubleshoot the problem, be sure they teach you what they are doing.

@@trevorcrain9620 thanks for advise, mainly thought about it for snow, watched plenty of vids on them seem to burn through batteries, I'm sure there are tires out there that would work in the snow at a lot less 💰

Not a bad model. Just wish we could get some more non-mainstream items from Traxxas. but I think they let after-market companies handle all that I guess... o well.

It’s a amazing truck but traxxas need to upgrade the game for a new release truck like the bronco. All Trx4 look the same chassis , same tire , same motor , and so much more .
I have 2 trx4 my self and just have nothing but good thing to say about them . But a little change or New frame design with lay down servo would be awesome:)

@CoderMan, Traxxas does not sell kits.
RTR at high prices. Proprietary radio, transmitter and esc. Like buying a full size vehicle, you take a bath on purchase.
Look on the site for popular(broken)back ordered bits. Seems like slow boat from china with higher costs. Passing prices on to the customer just like full size vehicles.

Which battery strap did he use for the lipo in the front?
It was a strap we had in a box, so I couldn't tell you. For that battery, you only need a strap 200mm in length or so; doesn't take much.

The battery and charger is sold separately. The truck is compatible with Traxxas 2S and 3S LiPo's.

Which one is better new bronco or summit ?
Are the gear reduction diffs metal gears, or plastic? Brushless add on, may tear up the gearing throughout this truck.

@@trevorcrain9620 Should've put "crawler" not "truck". The UDR has ifs and a solid rear axle.
Noob question... can I still use Traxxas Link to control this and my Rustler 4x4 VXL, and retain all functions, if I change out the servos and ESCs to a different brand? My understanding is that I can so long as I keep the receiver (TQi), please correct me if I'm wrong.
That's a good question. If you swap out the ESC to a non-Traxxas unit, you will probably lose all telemetry data, voltages, temps, etc. But the Traxxas Link will still provide help with transmitter settings, like setting your end points. We haven't tested this so I can't say exactly what will happen, but this is my best guess.

Is it weird that it unlocks the "rear" diff first, and then the "front"? I would have thought it would unlock the front, leaving the rear locked to make turning better ... by not washing the front wheels? Or are RC's different then 1:1's?
Easy fix just switch servo leads
@@rickwhitman6435 yah, i know its an easy fix ... i was just wondering what the reason would be for being back to front from the factory? Maybe it acts a little like a "DIG" when unlocking the rear without the front? Just thought there may be a reason why they have done it this way ... but i cant see it really "DIGGING" without the rear wheels locked ... i dunno
@@charliebrown238 Having the front diff locked is better than having the rear diff locked. Most full size trucks lock the rear only because most full size trucks have ifs. A locker will snap a cv shaft in half.
@@gasolinediesel972 ohh so CV shafts cant handle the stress like a solid axel can ... never really took that into consideration, but now you mention it, it makes a lot of sense. And as far as the front diff being locked before the rear, I guess it does a lot more "pulling" then pushing when climbing, hence leaving the front locked ... cheers for the reply GD :)
@@charliebrown238 Yeah if it's a solid axle truck then you definitely want the front locked before the rear. You can have ifs locked, but only if you also have your rear axle locked to take some of the stress off of the cv's. The front end does more pulling than the rear end while crawling. I don't really see the point of only locking the front diff when it's better to have all 4 locked at once.

Correct; the vehicle requires a battery a Traxxas battery pack and the transmitter requires four AA batteries.

Hey Amain Chico store. In the last year I've bought over $2,000, two grey SCX 10.3 JL Wranglers RTR, winches, wheels, tires, bodies, and multiple accessories. You changed your PayPal. Now you can't have the billing address and mailing address be the same. Everything was working fine and the last time I tried to order it screwed up my PayPal. I have 3 lipo batteries with deans connectors on them could I chop the traxxas connector off the ESC and install a deans onto it so my 3 batteries will work and I don't have to buy any adapter or batteries
Removing the ESC connector to solder a new one is very common. Just be sure not to use LiPo's bigger than 4S with the Deans/T-Style connector, as it is not as robust as the iD.

what would I need to do to get a TRX-4 Sport to have the rear drag brake function of the 2021 Bronco?
You're TRX4 Sport should have the same drag break as the Bronco because it's a setting of the Electronic Speed Controller (ESC), and it is programmable but maybe it's turned down on your truck. You can dial up or down the drag break strength through the programming menu, outlined in your manual. If you call Traxxas, they can walk you through the procedure.
