There are so many loving touches in this, I'm never going to unsee gaping dragon wiggling his fingers
This is beautiful. I've watched this several times since I first discovered it a while back but it's just so good!
Not only is the animation and art itself spot-on with Cuphead, but this also manages to feel like actual gameplay as well!
The attention to detail is also really something, not only did you change dashing to rolling to mimic Dark Souls, but you also gave Solaire a cartwheel so he could maintain his signature gesture!
The cartoon aspects of this are really great too, like how the Gaping Dragon is all decked out with knife, fork, and napkin, or how Solaire's helmet expresses shock when a boss enters the room.
Such good stuff (just like the rest of your content.) This might just be my favorite animation on RUclips, and honestly makes me want to create a game of my own in a style like this.

the "cartwheel" is also an alternative to the normal roll you can actually achieve ingame by equiping the dark wood grain ring (if you didnt knew). very nice detail

The cartoons of the 1930's could also be just as dark and twisted as this so it's actually a great fit.

Quick Q: Shouldn't Solaire be the main character in Cupsouls while on single player? Cause he does the "Praise the Sun" pose during the main menu clip, struck the pose before fighting Ornstein and Smough, does it again before fighting the Skeleton Queen, does the pose for his super move, heck, light even SHINES DOWN at him when he does the pose post-battle, and he does the pose before he cart-wheels away from Ornstein.

If this were a thing I would love different gear and items, and ability's just like DS 1 2 and 3 like maybe getting tasks to do for coins from random NPC's so when defeating them earns you some coins to purchase the things...

fromsoftware needs to authorize MDHR, and since MDHR's studio is smaller than Fromsoftware I doubt they will have any interest in it. Moveover they will probably have to buy the rights from the original animators anyways, so the chance is real small

Ali Al-Dhalemi It was started by two brothers, but the eventually had a group of about 20 people plus the musicians to help finish the game, that took 10 years to make.

i really want to see an actual game of this. i mean cuphead was great but what will happen it was crossed over with the mysterious bloodborne or the infuriating dark souls series. though part of it sheds some tears with the music.
Well, if someone actually does attempt to make this a game, I would hope there would be more Soul elements in the gameplay. Just imagine this video, but with several different melee weapons, light and heavy attacks with them, and dodge-rolling. And in lieu of the airplane levels in Cuphead, it would cool to see large levels where the perspective "zooms out" due to the distance, making bow a viable choice.
I suppose I could name potions and stamina too, but I'm too scared to imagine how Cuphead gameplay could possibly function with that. And ironically, Bloodborne version might actually be MORE melee-reliant, not less, since guns would have to function slower than Cuphead's shots/DS magic, even if their ammo becomes infinite.

Beautiful and creative visually. Ultimately very well done I very much enjoyed this! Most animations I see are bland and boring, but this is humorous and it's cool to see how the bosses of dark souls could be warped in a more fun, cartoony way like cuphead.

I don't know if both (Studio MDHR and 64 bits) had to draw *every single frame* or it's just this 60 fps effect thingy. I played this video in 0.5 speed and I felt their pain.
A lot of this video is tweening. MDHR however drew every single frame, the crazies they are.
