Good review and info. I have been using a 9 MOA RMR (RM05G) in handgun competition over the past two years. It's only the width of the A zone at 50 yards, so it's plenty precise since shots out to 25-35 yards are few and far between. The dual illuminated RMR works great outdoors, but it's not good in dim lighting conditions. I will likely replace it with the 6.5 MOA adjustable RMR since they released the Type 2. I think the 3.25 seems more wobbly since the dot bounces around inside the bulls eye. The 6.5 just likely just covers it so the wobble isn't as apparent. Thanks for your review.
I just found you today and really enjoy your vid's. The biggest thing i like is you talk to us like we are guys eager to learn and not like we are beneath you if that makes sense.

Perhaps I should pick it up anyway since it would give me the ability to compare both - then run the preferred RMR on my primary CCW and run the other on the backup.

Hi: love the videos on hand gun red dots ,I also like the way you beat them up for us, some of the videos are 2 year old, was wondering if you still think the RMR 2 is your favorite still, I do have a concern with removing the sight for a battery change
Really helpful video, I’ve never used a red dot on any pistols but I have them on a bunch of my rifles. Recently grabbed a p320 xcompact for my new EDC gun and figured wth I’ll throw a dot on it since I love them on my rifles and any advantage if I had to use it is always good. I ordered the 6moa for a lot of the reasons you just said but got worried I made a mistake going 6moa after seeing a few videos saying go 3moa. Watching this video just validated my purchase and I’m not worried anymore lol. Still waiting on it to arrive.

Good topic, it's one of those things that's different for each & every individual, it's a preference thing!! what one person's eye see's can be different than the next guy. I'd agree 6 moa is possibly faster for the eye to see, but the fact it's a larger dot with less movement do to mass has no effect of making someone more accurate. I can see how someone might thinks it's more accurate do to less wobble but that's virtually impossible. might be odd but for me it's almost the complete opposite, I feel that the 6 moa tends to block my target at any distance , whereas the smaller more precis dot WITH the movement allows for more accurate shot placement. There's no real right or wrong it's what fits each shooter best Id say. Good video!!
Hey, Aaron. When you use a mrds on your handguns, do you use tritium suppressor sights or does the light from tritium mess with the view through the glass?
Great video about the MOA size. My EDC is not meant to shoot at 100 yds or even 30 yds as I don't want to answer questions from the DA about why didn't I leave the scene if I was that far away (if needed that is what my AR15 is for). EDC is meant to deal with up close and personal defensive shooting (7-10 yds) so the faster acquisition of the larger dot size seems to be the right way to go.

Excellent information and presentation. I saw a video recently where someone (I forget who) said that as you get closer to your target the dot gets smaller. I would have thought the opposite would be true. I like the idea of red dot sights, but am somewhat confused.
I just purchased my first RMR and would really appreciate an answer to these 2 questions. As rookie with these Red Dots. I'm trying to understand how big the dot actually is and what is actually is suppose to look like. since it doesn't show up well on camera. At full extension on the Trijicon Type 2 RM06 3.25 MOA what percentage of the glass is covered by the dot or how much glass is left exposed from the dot top and bottom? 2. Are the edges of the dot Clean or are they blurry?
So for home defense and short distance 6MOA is the way to go ? Please some one with experience on the topic give a answer in my case hand gun will be use for short distance long distances preferred my ar15 or my favorite scorpion Evo 9mm
Outstanding! RMR shopping and this info invaluable. Am I correct in assuming that with an RMR (or any red dot) I’m going to be able to see over my suppressor?

TGC Sent me ;) New subscriber for good info presented well! Thanks for your videos :)
Good information as usual!
Extremely helpful thanks!
What it's I wanna put a RMR as offset sight on rifle...what dot size will be good?
Great video! Thanks,,,,, brought me up to speed quick!
As I try out the red dot, my biggest issue is making myself look through the dot to the target. But I have been shooting iron sights for fifty years.
looking forward to your article/study findings.
Interesting asked a few people. Then went to someone that owns both . For me I'd agree with him and you 6.5 Thanks
Was curious and wondering if you have or can make a simple guide on how to zero an optic 🙏
Which size do you recommend between 3.25 and 6.5 moa to mount on top of a Trijicon 4x32 ACOG scope on an AR-15? I’m leaning towards the 6.5.
6.25 RMR type 2 here. I feel like you have read my mind!
So for home defense and short distance 6MOA is the way to go ? Please some one with experience on the topic give a answer in my case hand gun will be use for short distance long distances preferred my ar15 or my favorite scorpion Evo 9mm
You should review the Shield RMS in 4 and 8 MOA
Great video! Definitely going to go with a 6.5
Outstanding! RMR shopping and this info invaluable. Am I correct in assuming that with an RMR (or any red dot) I’m going to be able to see over my suppressor?
ive been shooting red dots on hand guns for 20+ years and have eo tecs c-mores and 6 delta point pros but this weekend i will be getting a trijicon type2 for my s&w 460 xvr cheers m8t from australia.

Shooting Rack Attack - daang, RDS on handguns were a thing 20 years ago? Lol I did not know that
