    Hey, thanks so much for your work! Just a tip to save you money and labor: those wood pellets are easier to use if you soak them while they're in the bag. Cut the bag just like you did, but spray them and leave them 20 minutes. The shavings will poof out, nice and dry, and it's easier to shake out and spread them in that state. Cuz right now you're lifting 40 lbs.

      Yeah - I'm being more careful of that but in reality I couldn't hear the conversations even without it and headphones on :) I had other people video and everyone was being super quiet because the ponies were sedated. I have microphones now and will start encouraging people to wear them :) Thank you!!

    Thank you for another lovely episode, and for all you do. In contrast to the other comments, the music adds a lot for me, cradling the everyday and mood of the moment well. (Certainly a happy medium can be found, but I do like the montage music more than silence.) I look forward to seeing how the newest auction rescue comes along, and the minis adjusting to their new hooves and health.

      Thanks! We keep adjusting things to find what works - it doesn't play loud on mine, the voices and grinders are much louder. I did find that the farrier section was hard to hear even without music - I had help recording because I was gone that day but they were also being quiet because the ponies were sedated. I personally love musical montages on the videos I watch and find silent ones to be hard to watch, but we'll figure it out :)

      We end up with lots of video we like that doesn't necessarily tell a story but montages are fun we think. We'll keep your feedback in mind!

    Why was she smacking the horse on the side of its face when putting the lead on? Was this necessary? 😢😮

    • @GentleSpiritHorses
      @GentleSpiritHorses  6 месяцев назад +4

      Hello! I could see how it could look like that, but she's poking/patting his neck. He is an unhandled stallion who must accept vetting to be gelded - this week - so we've been desensitizing to pokes, touch, etc., on his neck so he doesn't kill the vet when they poke him with a needle to sedate him. If she'd had a microphone on you could hear her saying "poke poke poke".

      I MISSED THAT. SO..THE FORMER OWNERS WERE MEAN AND ABUSIVE TO THE HORSES, THEN YOU GUYS DECIDE ITS OK TO HIT THE HORSE IN THE FACE. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? HAVEN'T THEY ALREADY BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH ????😢

    Ive had to turn the sound off so that i can watch the video from the begining. The only noise i want to hear should be you talking and the horses .

    I agree with the others...the music is too loud and too long. Sorry

    • @GentleSpiritHorses
      @GentleSpiritHorses  6 месяцев назад

      We appreciate the feedback. I guess at this point I'd like more clarification on the "too long" - other than the montage at the end (which is easy to skip) is it the sections themselves that are too long? Like the music is underneath the stall cleaning/bandage changing section - is that content too long or would you prefer it with no music (it wouldn't make a difference as to hearing anything, no one yet wants to speak on video and it's much more frustrating trying to hear what they say when they are being quiet). Same with the farrier or even the trailer loading of our new boy - are the content sections themselves too long or is it just the music montages that you don't like.
      As for volume, we'll do some testing on multiple devices to see if this is a browser/device issue. It's pretty well balanced here we go down to about 10% on the rare times that we speak over the music, and the voice/video sound often comes in much louder on my devices so I'm struggling to understand the too loud comments since I can't replicate it. We've dropped a ton of music since we started especially underneath speaking sections. On this particular video the talking in the couple of video sections I kept sound on (like farrier) is extremely quiet and hard to hear but the noises of the trim are nice so I kept it even with music so if you are straining to hear the voices just know that even without music it's impossible to make out what they are saying.

    not a fan of the loud music.

      We keep trying to find what works ... I have to wonder if it's playing different on different devices because it isn't loud on my computer or phone :( I will definitely lower it more. We stopped putting music under voice overs and videos with people talking that was important but we'll see what we can do on the montages too! Thanks for your feedback!

    The music is stopping us hearing your voices, its far too loud. We would expect peace when working with horses. The music really spoils what is a good video. Its not even a nice tune .😢😢
