I never watched women's basketball until I discovered Clark and Paige. Now I never miss any of their games and rarely miss the other top team games. Fabulous ball.
How closely are you watching? Clark shoots the ball 25x a game and is barely in the top 20% in fg % and 3pt %, hardly superstar level. Paige shoots 10% better for both and is infinitely better defensively, but people look at Clark's scoring and assume she's great. There are 75 players who could put up her numbers if they shot that much. That's just a fact. Imagine Paige's numbers if she hogged the ball like that?? Watch JuJu,Makayla Williams, Pilli, Hildago or Fulwiley for a taste of real talent other than Paige.
@@cbrend22 I certainly watch closely and the others as well. I don't know what you are watching. Clark has numerous triple double games. Her defense is solid. Rebounding and assists outstanding. A superstar according to every expert and by every measure. Sorry, dismissing it all because she shoots a lot is absurd. Likewise Paige is all purpose.
@@cbrend22 Caitlin Clark's junior season at Iowa was epic. In leading the Hawkeyes to their first Final Four in 30 years, the point guard became the first player in NCAA Division I history with 900 points and 300 assists in a season, then swept every national player of the year award. This season, Clark has another shot at etching her name in the record books: The 6-foot-0 senior could break Kelsey Plum's mark for most career points in Division I history. We're tracking all of Clark's milestones and pursuit of the all-time scoring mark -- and several other Big Ten and NCAA records -- during the 2023-24 season. Clark is averaging 31.0 points per game this season. For her career, Clark has: 47 30-point games (including 10 this season), the most by a Division I player in the last 25 seasons 15 triple-doubles (including four this season), which ranks second in D-I history behind Sabrina Ionescu (26) 10 40-point games (including two this season), the most by any D-I player over the last 25 seasons
Caitlin hogs the ball but also leads the nation in assists. She shoots over 40% from 3, almost 50% on 2s and 84% from the line, and her threes are 6 to 10 feet beyond the arc. I think most coaches would be very happy with those numbers. This year, she leads the nation in scoring and assists again while averaging 7.5 rebounds and 2 steals a game while being the top defensive focus of every team and often being double teamed. She averages 21 shots a game. Paige averages 13 shots a game. Paige has 6 five-star recruits on her team and an experienced center to throw the ball into. Caitlin is the only 5 star recruit. Most importantly, Iowa wins
These young women really did a great job. They are lining up so well with each other. There is something special about this team. UConn Huskies are the reason I fell in love with women’s basketball🏀
Clark scored 40 points and IOWA lost!!!! That's why UCONN's players understand to win National Championships it takes a team, not just one player. There is no "I" in the word team!
Troll. Dumbest comment ever. Paige is definitely no CC, she's not a low efficiency gunner who's a dumpster fire on D. Paige is better than CC at literally everything. CC's best thing is 3pt shooting and she shoots 40%, Paige shoots 48%. Paige has the best best mid range game ever and is the best in the country at finishing at the hoop. She's on a short list for DPOY and is the best clutch player since DT. Check out CC's stats against ranked teams and her advanced clutch stats, mediocre at best. She's a media creation for morons like you who look at nothing but scoring...:low resolution thinking. The last time CC and Paige played a full season Paige swept all honors and no one mentioned CC. When CC and Paige played on team USA, Paige was tournament MVP, CC rode the bench. Paige is playing out of position with 4 freshman and is barely playing in the second half, and she's still scoring 20 and is the only player in top 5% in steal and blocks. Her first half stats, when she's playing full minutes and the game is in doubt, are very similar to Clark's, except MUCH more efficient( on O, on D CC isn't in the picture). As for Shade, that comment proves youre just a stupid troll, not even her mother thinks she'll ever be in Paige's league...which is fine, there are many solid players like CC who fit that description.
can u imagine if Ash adds to her movement and defense a more efficient 3 pt. shooting AND if she refuses to stand in corner 3 pt line ---- wow she moves out to wing screens or goes across foul line area for feed or screen ------------- I see her develope into a Paige level play ---- can not wait til next year ------------- been saying that too much last few years ------------- AND WOULD HOPE for new page ---- Paige to stay as player coach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GUYS - THANKS SO MUCH FOR FINALLY GIVING US PLAYER POSTGAME PRESSERS!!!!!
I Love watching these ladies play!
paige is tough.
Absolutely love this team.
If UConn can stay healthy, they can win a national championship this season. Paige is great.
UCONN (24-25) Gino’s Dream Team having Paige, Azzi, amazing freshman, injury returns and new recruited HS players.
Lots of points off free throws, plenty of fouls called.🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀
Stupid reporters... 'How much does it mean to...' So awkward.

But is also 2nd in the country in assists, screams team player.
P
Paige is great, but she is no Caitlin Clarke. Shade actually may be the best player on UConn

Obviously, you are trolling because what you are proclaiming is PURE BS!!!
you’re right, she’s Paige bueckers. Alone on her own
