    Kate 🥹🤗…what a fabulous day❣️. I was a scrapbooker for many years so I have an entire room full of supplies. I needed another outlet to use up my “entire room of favorite things” 🤣 & discovered junk journaling/ mixed media. I LOVED the freedom of NO RULES. Paper & paint & fabric…oh my❣️ How did you discover this creative outlet? Hexy update..200 done should have the 2nd square done today. (99 bottles of beer on the wall..do you know that song?). 400 hexagons on the board, 400 hexagons, you take one down & sew it along…399 hexys on the board🤣😂🤣😘

      O my goodness Trish - well done on making it to 200! Yes, know that song, and love that you are on count-down! Love you sharing re your approach - so much like mine I think! On reflection, I grew up never being bored - always making something! Stitching, sewing, crocheting, knitting, painting, origami - I am just realising that I buried all of that and poured myself into my work (which I loved!). Now have a little more flexibility which is such a blessing....and now it's all able to come out again - hurray! ❤❤❤❤❤

    Hi Kate, I love how you solved the bright colours issue. I especially love the one that you covered only the corner and left the yellow flowers exposed. I realise you would like to cover the yellow flowers in time also and I know it’s going to look gorgeous. ❤❤❤

    I’m sneaking this at work with no sound 😬 and I have been making similar the last few days as I really like how you stack papers up and then add a focal point - I have a beautiful book with large bird images and have been cutting around them to add to large journal cards (cut up master board) - pattern paper is my favourite colour dampener - the swatch pages are a fantastic idea - thank you again for sharing and take care - my weekend list is getting bigger, guess there will be no time for housework 🤷‍♀️

      O Cyndi - I absolutely LOVED reading this comment. YOU made me smile when you said you were sneaking it in - that is such a compliment and means so much to me - thank you thank you. Thinking of you as you create this weekend - I similarly have no time for housework - let's keep our priorities right! 😊 Sending blessings, Kate ❤❤❤

    Oh I love the dark things! And neutrals. That's what I would love to see a book of. I'll have to look at your list of videos to see if you have one. My opinion? Do what you love.🥰 Bright color... It's like forcing yourself to wear bright blue eye shadow. Why?
    All my books are basically dark. 🙂

      @kateinthenest  4 месяца назад

      O, thank you - you are exactly right the eye shadow - thank you for making me smile. Most of my journals are very neutral - I hope you can check them out - particularly the Kate Makes Journals, or the Making Monday series. I am interested too in your books....Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. Sincerely, Kate 😊❤❤

    Thank you so much for sharing your friend's ideas. If I have something overly white or bright, I often tea dye it. I really like gluing tissue or tracing paper over images. I have started stitching a running stitch first. Think that will be an easy introduction for me. My challenge will be keeping with it, as I think the process will be too slow. I will be having a big surgery in the future and this may be the project I can take with me. Theresa

      Hi Theresa - lovely to hear from you. I am hoping that yes, slow stitching is something that you can take along with you? Very portable....thank you too re the reminder about tea dye - I'd forgotten about doing that on the run with images. Sending love and blessings. Sincerely, Kate ❤❤❤❤❤
