We’re Dean & Nala, and we’ve been best friends since December 2018. I was actually cycling around the world when I heard Nala meowing out for me somewhere in the Bosnian mountains. With no intentions of keeping Nala, I knew i had to save the wee kitten and take her to the vet - but I was well aware of the fact that it might be a bit of a challenge considering I only had a bike. However, despite my concerns, Nala quickly climbed out of the front bag on the bike handle and straight onto my shoulder. Since then, we’ve been travelling the world together. When a human being has a close bond like this with a cat or pretty much most animals they will call out for you....this afternoon late evening I was upstairs and my kitty was downstairs napping when she woke up she couldnt see me anywhere downstairs, you should have heard the way she meowed calling out for me...I swear she was trying to speak english words amongst the meow sounds: cats are just truly the most amazing creatures....and Nala is so precious.

I used to play this game with my big Norwegian Forest cat. He loved it. Me, too! As soon as he’d find me he would do that sweet fall down thing cats do when they are happy.
Whether it was behind a door, in the shower, behind the bed or couch, he would search until he found me and then we would do it a few more times. Sweet memories.
You and Nala bring a sense of peace and sanity in these very uncertain times.

Did you catch how her tail was low when she was searching because she was apprehensive but it immediately went up and curled at the top once she found him indicating she was happy. That’s soooooo sweet

@@TrilhaMusiki Don't worry. At one point 0:30 yes it was a little apprehensive. If you read the cats body language as a whole though, which you should always do, it is relaxed and interested!
Also as Mary L said, in the end that straight tail with a curve at the end is a friendly happy tail!
The meowing for me was a meow that my late cat often answered with when he was out and I called him. Had a cat for 19 years.
Also, her "Mrrrr?" vocalisation is very similar to the way mother cats call to their kittens. I don't think Nala thinks of her human as a kitten, but it seems like she has repurposed her "kitten call" to a kind of "Where are you?"
There's hope for this world when a big Ole Scotsman can let a small cat wrap him around her paw. Happy Easter to you both! 😻

I think people who say that about cats or dogs deep down want to be loved by them, but maybe have been rejected or had a bad experience with them in the past, especially when your a child. E.g Kids can be really handsy and not realize they can be off putting to smaller animals, maybe getting bitten or scratched .

Cats can enjoy belly rubs, but it’s not the most common thing. I have three cats and one of them and one of them enjoys belly rubs. Depends on the cat I'm guessing.

Cats have an overwhelming fear of their person going down the plug hole...it seems that Nala’s greatest fear had come to pass when her owner vanished...she checked the bath, that cracked me up.
I have a cat from the shelter, she has maybe 5 minutes of cuddlyness a day and is mostly on her own. But when I or my guests enter the bathroom she keeps waiting in front of the door until we come out safely. Smart cat watching out for her foodgivers ^^
My cats always check the toilet. Stupid. Have the feeling, that they flushed the water, if they found me there😂😂😂.

That sound, it's the same sound a mom cat makes when she is caressing and talking to her kittens. You can just tell the love they have for each other. This is so cute and adorable.. if hearts can melt mine is already a puddle now ❤️

One of my 7-month old kittens came running up to my desk to investigate where the meowing was coming from too. They won't clue in it's coming from the computer screen and will just walk all around looking high and low. They do the same if there are birds chirping in a video too. It cracks me up every time. 😂
