I keep green, regular, and gold neons together and they actually school together too! It's really cool to see and I bet it's because they all recognize each other due to them all having the iconic blue horizontal stripe.
That’s the exact tank I have and set up. Same grouping as I want too I want shrimp and tetras. Do you have any advice on adding shrimp and tetras? I’m new to this. Do I have to do special stuff to add shrimp in?

It's worth mentioning that Black Neons aren't closely related to regular Neons, Green Neons and Cardinal Tetras (which are all in the same genus). Great Review guys. My first Fish is my male Betta. I had a good talk to him and let him know when he got too close with the Neon Tetras. I just got a great deal on a used 55G Aquarium that as soon as I have a few days of warm weather, I will be cleaning it with White-Vinegar and doing a full tank leak test. I am not expecting any issue, but just to be safe since I had over a 2 hour drive, one way... then the same on my way back home. I did pack it well, but did have someone who squeezed in front of me and had to use my brakes. I trust that all is fine. Once I get the 55G up, I will be increasing the small shoal of 5 up to about a dozen or more. I am thinking of getting them from different local breeders to mix up the genetics. I was blessed to get a small shoal of 5 Brown Bristlenose Plecos at a club auction. They are of different sizes, which makes it interesting. I am still thinking of getting 2 more, but each from different local breeders... again to mix up the genetics. I was also blessed to get a small shoal of 5 6-month Chocolate Kuhli Loaches to add to my 2 Chocolate Kuhli Loaches that I got back in mid-December. This gives me a bit of a genetic mix, already with them. My Betta missed his Chocolate Kuhli Loaches when I got a bit larger Aquarium and separated them for a week. The Chocolate Kuhli Loaches started to do their Happy Dance and after I added Taylor, my Betta into the tank... they moved their Happy Dance close to him and then Taylor moved close to them and he just stayed there letting them bump into him. I got the sense that they missed each other and were glad to be reunited again. Some say to place the Betta in last. It works, although, Taylor got along with his tank mates anyway. I love the Nerite Snails and will get more of a few additional Species. They are hard to find. Originally, I got 2 Tigers and 2 Zebras. Then, I found 2 more of different stripping, and one lil Horned one. He is in Quarantine with the 5 Chocolate Kuhli Loaches. I haven seen him since I put him in the tank. Hopefully, he is just staying in the background. I have been feeding different Algae Wafers and have been breaking them up and placing them in different places in the tank... so he should be fine. I had taken a piece of Driftwood and a few Rocks from my Original Betta Starter Tank and ran the Water Filter in the Quarantine Tank to help get that Biological Filter in the new 5G Quarantine Tank jump started. I had a chance to get these 5 free from someone who was getting rind of some of his Fish Tanks and had too many baby Chocolate Kuhli Loaches. I asked him to hold the 5 for the week that I had the new tank settling in. So far, so good. Much in the tank, including splitting some of my plants existing Plants from my 2 Betta Tanks. My original 1.7G Betta Starter Tank Kit is now a Quarantine Tank and I am still keeping Betta in the 6.6G until this 55G is up and stable. Meanwhile, I have 2 5G tanks that are Quarantine, also. I picked up another used 5G Aquarium that I am going to use to jump start new plants, from now on. For me, I am not so agile with siphoning since I have torn rotator cuffs from a serious tumble down a long staircase and I bumped a few new small Tissue Culture Plants. I am figuring that if I keep them in their own tank until they get stronger that they grow stronger and hold up better in the newly scaped 55G once it is up. I am starting to look for new plants and cuttings from our local Fish Clubs. Thanks. I learned a lot, as usual. Great Review.
I never had any issues with neons and angels together but I bought the neons first and let them grow, later adding the angels and eventually discus. I loved the neons! But neon tetra disease took many of mine (I had dozens of them) and got tired of euthanizing them once they were too diseased to eat and otherwise live a healthy and happy life. Great fish though and easy going. Thanks for the great videos!
I never had much luck keeping neon or Cardinal tetras. I think it’s my high PH water. Black neons are more hardy I have kept them over the years and they do well in my water.
Like a lot of the commentators have already noted here, I’ve had neons before but they all dwindled down, dying from disease. I’ve wondered if the water where they come from in the Amazon is so acidic that it kills a lot of the pathogens and that is why they don’t seem to have a strong immune system in our home environment. If I had a spare tank, I’d love to try to see if I ran a very low Ph tank, would they live longer. 🤔
Happy Monday, it would be amazing to have a large tank full of neons, cardinals, green neons and black neons. The question is would they all school together or with their own species 🤔
I have a 54 liter tank with 3 african dwarf frogs and some orange cherry shrimp, today I moved my green neon tetras to that tank, and oh my god!!! The orange cherry shrimp + green neon tetra combo was out of this world. Highly recommend !!
I'm planning to keep a few red-bellied pirahna, and seeing that they are a member of the tetra family, I'm thinking about keeping maybe 2 different types of tetras with them, as tank mates. I have seen people have sucess with bucktoothed tetras, tiger barbs, and even convicts, in conjunction with pirahna. You just have to make sure that your fish stay well-fed, and that there are plenty of hiding places, in your tank, for the other species. Many small tetras are very fast swimmers, and a well-fed pirahna is not going to expend too much of its energy to chase down a smaller fish that is difficult to catch. Perhaps a few may get knocked off, but I figure that you'll have that, occassionally.
I have 8 neons, 4 guppies, 5 Otocinclus, and 3 red eye tetras in my 55 gallon tank, as well as one huge, fat 3 inch black molly. I’m glad I watched this video; I was about to try some Angel fish. Instead I think I’ll get some more neons!
Great video! I've recently put together a tank of 11 green neon tetras, and have been considering keeping another type of fish with them, or staying species only. You've given me things to think on. Thanks. Love your videos...so much info to work with! 🤔
I've never had any luck with neons or the like. I've tried keeping exclusively tetras in my 20 gallon with no luck. Others have mentioned that too many males lead to fights (I presume over females) and that is probably how I lost my last group of small tetras. I may try again when I do up my 10 gallon bedroom tank.
my green neons are very shy, always stay at the back thats why i also have rummy nose as dither fish.. i got my stocking idea for 40g from you. you made me fall in love with apistogramma cacatoudes and green neon tetras..
I love ember tetras and would also love to try other small tetras some day. My fairly aggressive dwarf gourami Frank completely ignores the tetras - I think they're the right size to not be seen as a threat (like my platys), but are too big to eat.
I have neon tetra with little red cherry shrimps. Debating on move my Cory's and my Betta from my other tank to this neon and shrimp tank. It's big enough just unsure of the Betta liking it.
Neon fish are my favorite. Wish I had better luck keeping them alive. They either died or the filter sucked them up. I learned something new off of this video. Lots of plants are required. I had 0 in my tank. Maybe that's why they died. I may try to start a tank up again. It's been years and aquarium supplies have become expensive but freshwater is a bit more manageable financially. Thank You for the tips.
Never liked neons until I got 16 of them for my 220L Amazon tank. I've had them for around 5 months with no deaths and so signs of NTD no I must have won the lottery
You can keep guppies and zebra danio as well with neon. In my planted tank I have 6 neons 6 danio and 2 guppies ( also i have some shrimps- although they are always hidden)
Thanks for the info guys! I currently have a planted 50G with 6 cardinals, 8 corys (4 Julii, 4 Sterbas), 8 black phantom tetras, 8 amanos and 4 nerite snails. I will get a few more cardinals when I can (LFS ran out). Any advice on showpiece fish? How many? Most Rams need warmer water than I want to provide (currently 25C/77f). I might get a 3rd shoal of something too. Maybe harlequin rasboras?
I have a tank with 7 neons, 5 female platies, 15ish? (They keep breeding) endlers, a female albino bn pleco and some ghost shrimp. They all do fine together BUT the neons don’t school as well as they would in a larger group. I keep getting the occasional curious loner off in the corner of the tank. If I ever upgrade to a larger tank, I’m only getting more neons. They look really cool in planted tanks.
Man, I havent kept neon tetras in years and they are still one of my favorite fish. Easily in my top 5. Also, if you have 20 or more, it looks fantastic. Used to have 20 in my old 55. I'm also pretty sure black neons arent really true neons, just a name. Could be wrong though.
I have a 15 gallon 60 x 30 x 30 tank with a male sparkling gourami & a honey gourami. I was thinking about getting a few more fish. How many and what kinds would you recommend?
I just set up my plants 55 gallon tank. I bought those aqueon pure bacteria balls. I used prime an stability an seachem flourish an API CO2 booster for my plants. Father fish says it's ok to put a few fish in to get things started. Do you agree ? If I do that how many little schooling fish can I start out with ? Thank you for any advise
In these natural aquariums, do the neons breed for you? Just recently got interested in creating a tank like this, but years ago worked in petshops and remember hearing that its hard to get them to breed in captivity. Are there certain elements you can add to an aquarium which helps it to closely match natural habitat conditions?
We have 30 cardinals in 450L. They were added to a group of Guppies. The Guppies are SO greedy. The tetras hardly get a look at the food. Best I can doo is feed Guppies at one end and secretly hold flakes under the surface for tetra. Tetra seem unimpressed with lots of foods I've tried, micro pellets, dry worms, flakes.. Thoughts?
How is one supposed to keep their populations in check, though? Won't they breed to large numbers if kept with only other small fish and then same for the other small fish, in turn?
I have what I think is a pretty odd ball forty gallon. I have ten neon tetras with two Bolivian Rams, seven neon blue gudgeons, a mystery snail, a clown pleco, and one African Butterfly fish which was gifted to me. For some reason this group just seems to work out pretty well.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics we already have the black fin tetras. 2 of them. We got them out of spur of the moment when my little girl wanted some fish. Didn’t do research or knew about what fish to get or could go together. Yeah, we got them and two male guppies and had them in 5 gallon tank. Just recently put them in the 28 gallon. Seems as if my guppies chase each other. The tetras haven’t messed with them yet.
i’ve actually kept a male betta with a group of tetras and it went great! unfortunately the tetras died (not really sure why :( )but the betta didn’t kill them. they all got along really well
My favorite community tank with Neons when I was young was... A planted 55 gallon with about 20+ Neons, 20+ Rummy Nose, 2 trio's of Emperor Tetras, 6 corys, 2 pair of Apito's, 6 marble Hatchs, 6 Pencil fish.
@@caseyr1434 as long as it’s not something ridiculous like 3 arowanas or 50 tiger barbs in a 10 gallon tank you can’t really overstock if you keep up with big water changes
Question here, I have a 30 gal.. 10 neons, 4 Cory’s, 3 guppy’s, 3 cherry barbs.. I added the guppy’s about two months ago. Immediately one died overnight. And few days later my cherry bard died. Which I’ve had for 6 months. Both looked to have swim bladder. Now a month later. My two cherry barbs just aren’t eating anymore. They eat and spit the food out. And their hiding more then they used to. Just staying in one place. Any ideas?? Maybe move the the guppy’s and maybe add more cherry barbs??
@@PrimeTimeAquatics I wish I never got the guppy’s 😭. They look nice but brought nothing but problems. They almost feel too alpha like for this tank. They don’t mess with other fish. But they do chase each other. An I hate seeing my (2) cherry barbs on opposite sides of the tank. Hiding in the same spot all the time. And away from other fish.
I started with 14 neons and then added another 25 to make it to 39. I woke the next morning and I only had 20 left. ABARACADABARA.... THEY HAD GONE. i STILL DO NOT KNOW WHO THE CULPRIT WAS. I had a few angels, about 2 inches. I also had a few 2 inch platys and a 5 inch Pleco. Any ideas to which would eat them
6:37 Wait a second! I know that tank! Just recently visited the Wonders of Wildlife aquarium. Really awesome, want to go back and take a little more going through it.
Hi there! I have a 15 gallon with a female betta so far. I want to add ember and neon tetras, how many can I add of each? I’m also wanting to get a clown pleco!
I love all neon's, but these day's you have to expect too lose many if not all too that disease. If you can afford it and have a big enough tank and get 50 too 100 neon's, after the loss breed them, and they should be hardier. I have not heard of any great medicine for the disease, hopefully you have.
I'd love to do green neons with cherry shrimp, as a main focus. How many shrimp would it ake to populate but not over populate a 40 gallon tall with about 23 tetras is not something Im finding a recommendation on. Anyone ever try this combination. I want the tetras to control the shrimp, but I want enough shrimp too see and enjoy.
As of the moment I have 6 neon tetras and 2 corydoras in a 5-gallon tank, with some aquatic plants in it. I want to add more neons, will that be ok? Thanks in advance. 😊
Hello, I have a custom made tank which is a little bigger than a 20g long (about 25g o total volume), currently I have 15 Green Neon Tetras, a female betta, and 5 peppered corydoras, the tank is moderately planted well established about 1 year old, I'd like to add a few more green neon tetras (maybe other 15) or another group of nano schooling fish, how many would you think I can add without overstocking the tank?
I have a smaller 10 gallon tank with two female betas and a snail infestation there are so many tiny little baby snails seems like they’ve been in forever. They grow so slow. I want to get a bigger tank and set it up with Tetris and keep that smaller tank with the snails. what kind of fish can I put in my new big tank that would eat those snails I would have an unlimited supply of food for them. Ha ha love the channel thank you.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics for real!? Mine stopped eating sword and vallisneria plants. Although sometimes they’ll nibble on the vallisneria. Especially near the base. But the leaf isn’t dead.¿ They definitely ate all my scarlet temple within a few days of getting the plants in the tank! I couldn’t believe it. Maybe it was a dead plant. But I had just gotten it. And every time I looked back they were climbing all over it. Broke it down to a stem lol. They also seem to love the Mayaca I have. How strange.
I can vouch, apistos and black neons are a great combo. Absolutely zero aggression. (Until the apistos start to mate, but not aggressive towards the neons still)

I'm planning on doing a 10 gallon aquascape with a honey gourami, a school of neon greens, and a small school of either pygmy or panda corys soon!
Ya, that seems to be even more common these days.
neon tetras are one of my favourite fish. sadly a disease outbreak wiped out all 7 of my green neons but i hope to keep them in the future
I'm sorry that happened!
Happy Monday, it would be amazing to have a large tank full of neons, cardinals, green neons and black neons. The question is would they all school together or with their own species 🤔
I have a school of 10 neons and 1 ember tetra and he schools with the neons it’s pretty fun to see !
I have a 54 liter tank with 3 african dwarf frogs and some orange cherry shrimp, today I moved my green neon tetras to that tank, and oh my god!!! The orange cherry shrimp + green neon tetra combo was out of this world. Highly recommend !!
Great video and I love the suggestions for a community tank. Happy Monday!
Thank you!
Wow, I have almost every fish (and shrimp, snails) you recommended in with my school of black neons. And yes, they all get along.
Nice!
The way you guys look at each other is total couple goals
Thanks - haha
I have 8 neons, 4 guppies, 5 Otocinclus, and 3 red eye tetras in my 55 gallon tank, as well as one huge, fat 3 inch black molly. I’m glad I watched this video; I was about to try some Angel fish. Instead I think I’ll get some more neons!
Great video! I've recently put together a tank of 11 green neon tetras, and have been considering keeping another type of fish with them, or staying species only. You've given me things to think on. Thanks. Love your videos...so much info to work with! 🤔
Have fun!
I have neons with apistos, harlequin rasboras, and a hillstream loach.
I've got 26 Neons, thinking I might double that. Yours look great in that quantity!
my green neons are very shy, always stay at the back thats why i also have rummy nose as dither fish.. i got my stocking idea for 40g from you. you made me fall in love with apistogramma cacatoudes and green neon tetras..
I love ember tetras and would also love to try other small tetras some day. My fairly aggressive dwarf gourami Frank completely ignores the tetras - I think they're the right size to not be seen as a threat (like my platys), but are too big to eat.
what was the fish you mentioned at 3:15 (the yellow one) rams? ramps? rands? rangs?
Rams?
I have neon tetra with little red cherry shrimps. Debating on move my Cory's and my Betta from my other tank to this neon and shrimp tank. It's big enough just unsure of the Betta liking it.
Black Neons turned out the lights!
Neons are beautiful, but I like more active tetras.
I have kept with my betta fighter fish it seems they are fine together
Maybe the Bolivian ram or apisto? Also take a look at kribensis.
Neons are adorable, beautiful, just like the Oscars🐠
I have a tank with 7 neons, 5 female platies, 15ish? (They keep breeding) endlers, a female albino bn pleco and some ghost shrimp. They all do fine together BUT the neons don’t school as well as they would in a larger group. I keep getting the occasional curious loner off in the corner of the tank. If I ever upgrade to a larger tank, I’m only getting more neons. They look really cool in planted tanks.
You guys didn't mention Rummy Nose Tetras I know those are ok as well!
Ya, you should be able to add a few small fish.
@@PrimeTimeAquaticshow many is few small schooling fish to you. Remembering my tank is 55 gallons
In these natural aquariums, do the neons breed for you? Just recently got interested in creating a tank like this, but years ago worked in petshops and remember hearing that its hard to get them to breed in captivity. Are there certain elements you can add to an aquarium which helps it to closely match natural habitat conditions?
I see very little fry survival in any community type aquarium. Eggs and fry get eaten, unfortunately.
Thoughts?
The Northfin flakes sinki a little faster.
Can I mix cardinals with blue acaras and firemouths?
Thankyou.
They would most likely get eaten
@@PrimeTimeAquatics thank you Sir.
How is one supposed to keep their populations in check, though? Won't they breed to large numbers if kept with only other small fish and then same for the other small fish, in turn?
You’ll never see fry. They eat eggs and newly hatched fish.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics Oh, okay. Thanks. I'm still learning.
I have black neons with black phantom tetras, and male panda crowntail betta. Panda corys for clean up.
That sounds cool!
Will a 20 gallon tank be enough for 12 neon tetras with a couple Cory cats
I have what I think is a pretty odd ball forty gallon. I have ten neon tetras with two Bolivian Rams, seven neon blue gudgeons, a mystery snail, a clown pleco, and one African Butterfly fish which was gifted to me. For some reason this group just seems to work out pretty well.
Nice!
How many neon could i keep in a 38 gallon tank. Im only planning on neons and cherry shrimp
30 should work well.
I was thinking of adding livebearers such as guppies to a tank with green neons, ottos, and cories. Any issues there?
If the water is closer to neutral or slightly above with moderately hard water it works. If the water is soft sometimes the guppies don't do well.
We have a 28 gallon tank. Can I have 5 to 6 black fin tetras, 4 to 5 guppies, 12 to 15 neon tetras, and 2 German blue rams?
I might stay away from the Black Fin (Black Skirt) Tetras - they can be a little aggressive in a tank that size.
The tetras haven’t messed with them yet.
i’ve actually kept a male betta with a group of tetras and it went great! unfortunately the tetras died (not really sure why :( )but the betta didn’t kill them. they all got along really well
My Betta does not bother the Neons either.
Dwarf gourami, tetras & pygmy corydoras are my favorite combinations.
What about tiger barbs? You mentioned cherry barbs I have a 55 gallon tank
They can work, but they do best in groups of at least 12-15.
That's a lot of fish.
@@caseyr1434 Not really. They were added a few at a time so no cycle crash. Plus the tank had an UGF plus a HOB. Never had any issues.
@@caseyr1434 as long as it’s not something ridiculous like 3 arowanas or 50 tiger barbs in a 10 gallon tank you can’t really overstock if you keep up with big water changes
Thanks Guys!! Great info, per usual !!!!
Love tetras so much. All of these are fantastic options in my opinion 💛💙💚 down to the barb's 🤟
Heck ya! :-)
Any danger in having a large school of neons with a small school of black skirt tetras? Planning my 55gal
There’s a chance the black skirts could be a little rough on the neons, but it might work out too.
I’m getting a 20 gallon tank and thinking of 15 neons 6 glow fish and a few mollies and guppies would that be to much and how comfortable are they?
I might skip the mollies. They can be somewhat aggressive.
You could certainly do that. The guppies might have brought in a parasite too. If it continues you could always look at Expel P or Paracleanse.
So I have a 20 gallon long aquarium with a honey gourami and some diamond tetras and a bristlesnose pleco how many neons do you recommend?
Maybe 8-10?
Thank you for this information its super helpful
Are neons ok with white cloud minnows in my axolotl tank . The water is 68-69 degrees and it’s 72 gallons?
That might a little too cold for the neons, but the white clouds can easily go up to the mid-70s with now issues.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics 👍🏼yeah I’m trying to find the happy zone .lol
ember tetra. Love these little guys with my neons 💕😘🥰
Any ideas to which would eat them
It’s possible they could have died and the pleco ate them?
How many tetras would you recommend putting in a 55 gallon tank?
You could easily start with 30-40.
6:37 Wait a second! I know that tank! Just recently visited the Wonders of Wildlife aquarium. Really awesome, want to go back and take a little more going through it.
Such an awesome place!
Can i have 4 or 5 Gouramis with a large school or should it only be 1? I'm wanting a large school of neons in a 90 gallon
I would only do one, unless they are honey gouramis or pearl gouramis.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics What if it's 3 different ones? I was thinking of a powder blue dwarf, neon blue dwarf, and a flame dwarf
I’d love to do a 75+ gallon tank with tetras, otos, shrimp and snails
Hi there! I have a 15 gallon with a female betta so far. I want to add ember and neon tetras, how many can I add of each? I’m also wanting to get a clown pleco!
You could probably do 6 each. Also 1 clown pleco
I love all neon's, but these day's you have to expect too lose many if not all too that disease. If you can afford it and have a big enough tank and get 50 too 100 neon's, after the loss breed them, and they should be hardier. I have not heard of any great medicine for the disease, hopefully you have.
I agree - we tend to lose a fair number too.
Would 10 neon tetras, 6 Cory cats, and 2 rams be too much for a 29 gallon tank?
Nope - that sounds good. Two males might be rough on one another though.
You could easily do 30-40 shrimp
Can neon tetras be territorial or aggressive with each other? I have a couple keep chase everyone and wake up everyday to one dead.
Not usually, but I try to keep them in large groups of 10 or more in at least a 20 gallon tank.
@PrimeTimeAquatics
How many neon tetras would you recommend for a 55 gallon aquarium?
I had them with black skirt tetras they were axlittle aggressive but got along with black neon tetra
how about cardinal tetra and rummy nose tetra? will the neon tetra and the cardinal tetra school together?
Definitely!
Can I mix with a guppy?
Sure
Can fancy tail guppies be kept with neons in a 55 gallon tank?
Definitely
I has 4 black treaters and lemon treaters togger plus cherries barbs grommies 2 yellow ones 1 molly 1 brisslnoise 1clown pleck
As of the moment I have 6 neon tetras and 2 corydoras in a 5-gallon tank, with some aquatic plants in it. I want to add more neons, will that be ok? Thanks in advance. 😊
A five gallon can be tough for them when they are full grown?
My first community tank had black neons, glowlights and cherry barbs.
Are dwarf neon rainbow fish a good pairing with neon tetras?
Sure!
I put some Tetras in with my Mosquito Fish and the largest went to town on the Tetras. So not compatible!!! I had no idea
Another 15 would work
I've got 2 large common plecos will they be ok
Probably - they aren’t very good open water hunters
@@PrimeTimeAquatics really appreciate you getting back to me.
Bought 12, only one survived the week. A bully Molly took them out one by one at night. I don't have Molly's anymore... Maybe try them again.
Sorry that happened :-(
I have a smaller 10 gallon tank with two female betas and a snail infestation there are so many tiny little baby snails seems like they’ve been in forever. They grow so slow. I want to get a bigger tank and set it up with Tetris and keep that smaller tank with the snails. what kind of fish can I put in my new big tank that would eat those snails I would have an unlimited supply of food for them. Ha ha love the channel thank you.
Pea puffers, red tail botia, serves loaches ,assassin snails?
Any advice for mystery snails to stop eating all my plants?
Ours never ate any of our plants. Usually they just eat dead/dying leaves?
@@PrimeTimeAquatics for real!? Mine stopped eating sword and vallisneria plants. Although sometimes they’ll nibble on the vallisneria. Especially near the base. But the leaf isn’t dead.¿
They definitely ate all my scarlet temple within a few days of getting the plants in the tank! I couldn’t believe it. Maybe it was a dead plant. But I had just gotten it. And every time I looked back they were climbing all over it. Broke it down to a stem lol. They also seem to love the Mayaca I have. How strange.
I have a 75G with around 150 neons and about 25 tiger barbs.
Awesome!!
Silver Dollars are excellent and what I've kept with Neons for 15 years.
Can one black neon tetra survive in a 5 gallon tank with 1 male Betta?
I probably wouldn't only because they like to be in groups and get too large for a 5 gallon.
I can vouch, apistos and black neons are a great combo. Absolutely zero aggression. (Until the apistos start to mate, but not aggressive towards the neons still)
Are keyhole cichlids safe with neon tetras?
They should be ok as long as there isn’t a huge size difference when you get them.
livebearers go good with them as well
