I bought that same machine two years ago. I've rented different mid size track hoes and decided on this one for over all power and reliability. I've never had any issues with it even clearing tree acreage. The overall package very good. You are right on the power. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. You won't regret buying this size, Aux button aside ;)
That 75-2 with a grapple is the Beez for tree work. I have a 306 cat excavator. But the skid seems much faster to transfer brush, pull trees, and clean up!!
IVE RUN THE SAME MACHINE FOR A FRIEND FOR QUITE A WHILE AND i THINK ITS THE BEST ONE OUT THERE.......NO COMPLAINTS HERE!!! VERY WELL BALANCED AND NOT LACKING POWER AT ALL!!
Thank you for showing her OFF. Love how the Batteries have great access. On newer excavators my Humble opinion is there is so much Electric draw, with all the power stuff. That Battery will go Dead. Replacement of mine, many times on my old girl.
I have quite a few hours on KX80s the company I worked for had 3 of them, been using KX80s for well over a decade. They are a money maker they can do a lot of work. You need steel tracks on a 80 the rubber bands just destroy themselves
When it comes to tree work, bigger is better. As for the boom coming back further then yours, it appears to have a heavier offset of the boom to the right of the cab more like a traditional excavator. It’s definitely a nice machine, I’m sure with the great prices on used equipment they would probably give you a trade in number almost what you paid for yours new a few years ago.
Had the opportunity to run the 80 for a few days doing some demo on a couple old mobile homes, old campers and digging burn pits. It’s an impressive machine to say the least. I had to settle for a 5 ton machine because I didn’t want to afford upgrading my truck and trailers. You on the other hand have at least enough truck to move it. I say go for it 👍🏼
I have a takeuchi TB290. Moved up from a bobcat 50. World of difference in what it can handle and so much safer on big trees. Some times it gets tight but not enough to bother me. Very happy. One thing I like is it has the strength and weight to just rip a tree apart. So I can sit in the AC knock a tree over rip it apart and feed it in the chipper without breaking a sweat. Cut down on alot of saw work. Which in turns makes jobs safer. Only down side is twice the money.
I hope it works out for ya, bigger is better most of the time. I took the plunge and bought a bobcat E88 with the Rotobec grapple. Waiting on a plate from rotobec and a connection harness from bobcat to get it up and running. Looking forward to putting it to work. Didn’t want to lose any capacity from my skid steer so I went with the bigger excavator over the E60 for loading logs.
Nice piece of equipment. I like the beefy pivot point where the boom attaches to the machine on the CAT that you played with back in the summer better.
Tim the only thing that would make it better is a Cotontop3 logo on it 💯 sweet looking machine. As always God bless y'all from Gaffney South Carolina viewer an Merry Christmas to you and your family 💯
Good evening. 5 circuit's to preset 5 tools is nice. Power, efficiency is on point. But the resetting is a factor. Maybe they can get something done on a case by case kinda deal. Having wireless communication would make having the enclosed cab nice, especially for summer. It's only money. We'll see how it plays out ol son. Be safe everybody.
I got an older model Kx-41 super serious with slide in tracks and remove able blade corners but have ran bigger ones at work when they rent them for around the mill
My brother just bought a new KX080-4 and he loves it. They're an awesome machine. He also has a KX060-5 that he's had for about a year which is also an awesome machine. I think you should get that 80, you won't regret it.
It's a really nice machine and looks like it can handle alot I just think of it like you said in your video could be big in small yards but other than that I think it's great
It's a very nice machine and it could do Alot for you.! It just comes down to would you be better off getting it or would you be jaming yourself up with It.?? Only you know if it is the right time To get it.!!
Go in and get it you know you want it so. Plus like you said you will have the size and power you need. Like you said it's better to have it and not need it . Then to need it and not have it. Enjoying the videos my friend !
I like mine. Haven’t found anything I couldn’t do with it. I don’t like having to press hydraulic button every time I start up aux hydraulics though. I don’t know about the 57 but the 80 is fairly rough on a yard as far as rutting it up. Heavy machine at 19200.
when I was shopping for a track hoe 4 years ago I looked at everything thing out there, bought a CAT307 E series ll because it had the conventional boom set up. Been were satisfied with it, we have H&R UP here good dealers.
Well you keep moving forward one step at a time , you have the work so why not but there may be a time when you may have to quit your day job 🤔 and go full out on your side line hobby 😂🤣😎. Have fun at what your doing and stay save Sir. We enjoy watch your progress at what your up too .
I like that size excavator a lot. I’m a technician at a Komatsu dealership in south Alabama, and on our excavators, you have the option of selecting your auxiliary function in the monitor to “mode at previous key off”; I am curious as to why Kubota doesn’t use that method as well. Love the videos Mr. Tim! Thanks!
Not sure why they have it like that. I have tried a couple different things to trick mine so I could get around it and not have to hit the button every time but I have not succeeded.
@@cotontop3 I remember you mentioning that in a video a while back! Would be cool if you could, but glad to see the -5 machines are including the “arming” button on the joystick
I am looking for a new one myself in the 75 to 100 series, I have always been a Hitachi/ John Deere guy. I like Kubota but find myself looking more at Hyundai and Sany and steering more to the Sany.
You should put a s50 coupler from steelwrist so you can have it be fully hydraulic connection even if you don't get the tilt rotator. The s50 system is lighter and lower built height compared to standard pin grab systems. I totally agree about the aux button, very annoying many other brands have it enabled when you start. I have been looking at volvo, hyundai, or cat for that reason.
Having an 080-4 I have only 1 real complaint, the A/C SUCKS. It blows cold just no where near enough volume. I have dug ponds, dredge ponds, cleared land digging trees up and shoving them over, utility work, septic tank installation, hurricane cleanup, setting culverts, and a few other projects. I have found it to be an incredibly versatile machine.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing you get new equipment. Someone who works as hard as you do deserves it. Much love from West Virginia 👍✌️🙏🙏
Thank you
A cab machine is the only way to go! Cool in the summer & warm in the winter.

That's calling your name Tim. You would really enjoy that cab.
LOL yes
This Ole boy don't let any grass grow, underneath his feet!! Thanks,Tim.
That 75-2 with a grapple is the Beez for tree work. I have a 306 cat excavator. But the skid seems much faster to transfer brush, pull trees, and clean up!!
I just bought that exact same machine, it is incredible! I've 8 hours on it. Excellent machine.
That was a cool shout out August Hunicke gave you Tim talking about that trespasser encounter you had.
That excavator and skid steer combo is my dream. So much can be done on my property and I can do side work too.
IVE RUN THE SAME MACHINE FOR A FRIEND FOR QUITE A WHILE AND i THINK ITS THE BEST ONE OUT THERE.......NO COMPLAINTS HERE!!! VERY WELL BALANCED AND NOT LACKING POWER AT ALL!!
Every time I go into my kubota dealer I spend way too much time looking at it. They are very nice machines.
yeah the kubota dealers allways helps to fit the right equipment for right applications to save money
Got one. I'm very happy with it. Loads trucks comfortably, which is nice. Biggest little machine.
Tim let the trigger fly buddy, get that beast, great video, nice machine
Thank you for showing her OFF.

Another comment is thank you for going through all the controls. Education video you did my friend, very good narrative.
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice machine Tim. I got my 57-5 a month ago and love it. My first excavator. Peace
I looked at the kx80 and 308 cr Cat. Bought the Cat more $$ but my goodness what a machine. I believe it has more settings for the aux than the Kubota
Great investment to the fleet ! Specially when you put Rotobec grapple with the chainsaw on it .

I think you are going to keep your original and buy this one. Best of both worlds. Best of luck. Kubotas are good products.
I’ve watched this a couple times, Tim. Mine comes in a couple weeks. Very excited
Looks nice Tim gone get it you'll put it to work
Tim the only thing that would make it better is a Cotontop3 logo on it 💯 sweet looking machine. As always God bless y'all from Gaffney South Carolina viewer an Merry Christmas to you and your family 💯
That 8 ton would be great for lifting trees and be a nice upgrade
Yes it would 👍🏻
It actually weighs 19,500 lbs with his rotograpple it would be over 20k im sure.
I’ve got the U55-5. Definitely like the interior upgrades.
Be a great addition to your fleet! Be some good content on fixing it all up as well!

Make the move man i have one and its an amazing machine you can’t ever have too much power. I know ur grapple would make it the ultimate machine
I got an older model Kx-41 super serious with slide in tracks and remove able blade corners but have ran bigger ones at work when they rent them for around the mill
Nice machine Tim. My only suggestion would be to get a pro link thumb on whatever machine you decide on.
I wont be buying this machine and I would go ahead and remove the thumb and cylinder.
Cool machine
It will make a great addition to the fleet!
My brother just bought a new KX080-4 and he loves it. They're an awesome machine. He also has a KX060-5 that he's had for about a year which is also an awesome machine. I think you should get that 80, you won't regret it.
I want to wait until the 5 series come out.
@@cotontop3 I don't blame you. The 5 series will be better.
Love the new equipment vids, Cheers !
yeah the kx080-4 wich kubota has great fall deals on to save wich im glade im going with there kubota generator
Very nice machine indeed. If I was in the market looking thats what id get for sure Tim! Very nice!
The 080 has a diverter valve under the hood for the the case drain. The max flow is 26 gpm.
It's a really nice machine and looks like it can handle alot I just think of it like you said in your video could be big in small yards but other than that I think it's great
Looks like a winner to me. I can`t justify that type of purchase but if I could it would be a go.
We have a KX 080-4 on order! Should be here soon can’t wait!
I cleared some of my land with one I loved it it was amazing machine for its size. I just wish I could afford one lol
Get it! You really could expand with 2 excavators
It's a very nice machine and it could do
Alot for you.! It just comes down to would you be better off getting it or would you be jaming yourself up with
It.?? Only you know if it is the right time
To get it.!!
You need that Tim
I am still amazed at the amount of equipment on lots in the south, compared to up here in NW PA which there is still NOTHING!!!
Go in and get it you know you want it so. Plus like you said you will have the size and power you need. Like you said it's better to have it and not need it . Then to need it and not have it. Enjoying the videos my friend !
Bigger machine, bigger gooseneck trailer, yup that what my 8 ton required me to do…bigger everything but i love my unit.
That machine has your name written all over it.
Thanks very cool

I think Mr Tim bought a new mini... Congrats 👍
My thoughts is that is a great machine. I'm operating a much smaller one. For the work that I see you do. I'll be all over that machine.
Oh yea, bring it home!

I like the Kubota
I had a 57-4 and bought a bobcat e85 same size as the 80 and no comparison way more machine
You also can get about 500 lbs as a counterweight..
Price performance and reliability all good from Kubota. I need a 080 myself
Good looking machine 👍
Very nice machine Tim, a nice upgrade sometime in the future for sure👌👍🙂
Would look good with a CT3 sticker on it!
Make a nice Christmas present 📦
Walk it over and put it on your trailer home. End of story. Bravo from Victoria Australia
That’s a nice machine 👍
Yes
Very nice machine !
Well you said if you got a bigger excavator you'd keep the 57, so you could still service the smaller yards you spoke of. Bring it home!
I’m guessing that it’ll run a 125,000$ plus?
You'll love it, for sure
I'm gonna see what the 5 series ends up like
Specs show it weighing in at 19140. I'm sure that 5500 would pull that no problem.

Thank you for working there. I am really envious of your Job.
Gonna need a bigger trailer now tim
Time to make a deal!!!
Ain’t nothing money can’t fix😂

I’m waiting on 80-5, that is gonna be a hot seller when it comes out, but will be worth the wait
I also will wait on the 5 series
It would look nice on your trailer headed back to your place...
I’ve said it once I’ll say it again it’s hard to beat kubota construction
Perfect size

@@cotontop3 good move
Thanks Tim! How do you like the 201T for tree work and how often do you have to change your tracks on the mini?
Very Nice Machine 👌
Looking Like You'll Be Lifting Up Your Mattress For This New Toy 🤔🇬🇧👍
That would be good size for everything you do
It is a beast compared to the kx057 I've been on both! I think it would do damn good for what you do in your line of work
The 80 is a awesome size machine
You are correct
Take it home with you Tim!
GET IT!
I almost pulled the trigger on one it would be nice but I'm glad I didn't because I don't want that payment 😂
Love it, what a Stud!
Tim . Take a look at a Takeuchi TB290
You neeeeeeed it bad.
I say it be a good edition to your fleet
Very nice Coton. Side note, if you are ever in Milwaukee again, Iet me know. Thanks!
Will do.
