I feel like this trade, would legitimately make the Lakers worse, because they lose basically all of their depth for a volume shooter and playmaker instead of just getting a playmaker first guard even though I’m against trading him especially with how well he’s played recently as an Oklahoma City fan I think a fair trade would be Austin Reeves for Josh giddy although at this point, I wouldn’t even make that because I believe Josh Giddey is about to pop off. He has been fantastic the last few weeks

I don't think anyone wants Simmons. I think Lavine can make a comeback. Hachimura seems to be a good fit for the Lakers but Young is strong.

it's not really a "want for Simmons" that will convince the Bulls to trade Lavine for him
the biggest reason for that trade happening will be because of the huge difference in value between his expiring contract and the MASSIVE FUCKING deal Lavine is signed for 😂

Trae Young is Jimmer Fredette with playing time and the power of narrative behind him. He's literally the worst defensive starting guard in the league and literally the worst turnover player in NBA history at 4 turnovers per game.
As a Spurs fan that Trae Young trade looks amazing, means the 25-27 picks the Spurs got from Atlanta could be top 5. Would be incredible to get Cooper Flagg, Ace Bailey, AJ Dybantsa, or Cameron Boozer without having to tank again.

All of these trades were horrendous. There’s no way LaVine isn’t worth more than a negative piece in Ben Simmons and a first. Also, IF Trae gets traded, which is pretty unlikely, there’s no way in hell the Spurs wouldn’t be able to outbid that mediocre Lakers offer. As for the Jalen Green trade, you’re trading a building block for a late first, and lastly, the Poeltl trade makes the most sense, but I’m sure the Raptors could get more value for those two players.

@@warwolf88 I’m assuming you’re talking about the Raptors trade, so in that case I see were you’re coming from, but I’m personally not taking on the Wiggins contract just to get a first, especially if I’m giving up Poeltl. If the Raptors find the right deal/deals they can get a young player and two firsts for Brown and Poeltl.

I don't like or want Ben Simmons. I do like Zach Lavine, but it does make enough sense for them to take the risk on him.
I don't predict that panning out for the Nets to make it to a top 6 seed though. Those picks can be pretty useful (if they even have that capital, which I don't think they do) and Ben Simmons can be bought-out or flipped for a 2nd round pick.

As a lakers fan absolutely not. He’s a 3rd option and that would be giving up a first or tied for first option haul. Reeves and hachimura are on team friendly contracts and playing well. If Russell is good in the playoffs this year and proves himself I’d keep him over Trae as they’re similar.

They’re not trading Reaves and Rui for Trae. If anything it’d be something like Gabe Vincent,JHF, Maxwell Lewis, Max Christie and 2-3 1st rd picks. If they’re gonna trade either of DLo, Reaves or Rui, it’d be for a bonafide star like Curry or Lillard lmao

Trae Young is a horrible fit for the Lakers, his defence is calamitous, his shooting average, and his best asset of passing pointless when playing next to LeBron at the end of games, and he has shown no real chemistry playing off the ball. His salary would be better suited being split between a couple high quality role players.

Trae young has had a pretty decent defensive season this year. He has put on muscle and he’s pretty quick which helps him not be brutally destroyed.
